Why shouldn't you leave the Angel's sight?--Doctor Who Season #movie#shorts
Doctor Who is a British science fiction television series broadcast by the BBC since 1963. The series, created by Sydney Newman, C. E. Webber and Donald Wilson, depicts the adventures of an extraterrestrial being called the Doctor, part of a humanoid species called Time Lords. For anyone wondering, since the recording blinked out periodically, Amy could turn it off when it did so because it momentarily stopped holding the angel’s image.
All these years and I never fully understood how she successfully turned it off after all the failed attempts
I thought the angel willingly allowed it to go off as the angel crawled inside Amy's head so it no longer had the image of the angel
I think she didn't turn the screen off completely. She pressed the pause button during the short jump in the recording while it was resetting itself. This temporarily disrupted the Angel's power. After that, the contact completely snapped and the Angel lost control of the container and the TV.
Later in the episode something similar happens, when the Angel (who, despite everything, got inside Amy's head) slowly takes control of her mind, Amy closes her eyes to break the Angels contact with the environment at least for a short time, until the Angel finally fell into the time field and was erased from existence.
Thats at least what i remember. Correct me if im wrong. 💙
I havent watched it in a while.
This is the first time I’ve seen a clip of Doctor Who combined with music that sounds like it came from Halloween.
Finally the added music made something work
that the scariest part of it
now imagine a angel walking in front of a camera in front of a monitor
Infinite angel?
@@yodogy8 i believe it would, which is a really big issu
Welcome to interdimensional cable, our guest today:
From some clips and what I heard it got worse once, the Angels also have the ability to turn statues into other angels, including the statue of liberty.
What lies beyond the last visible angel?
The fact that she blinks one eye at a time to keep looking is a one smart move. But she knows, one messed up blink and it's over😂
This was my thought since the angels first apperence. As long as you're careful, you could keep an angel in sight as long as you need to
@@jessewoodall7253the issue is there’s usually gonna be multiple, if you’re looking at one, well what stops the others from attacking from behind
This *sounds* like a great workaround, but the issue is that eventually you will get tired of blinking one at a time.
Blinking is an involuntary action like breathing. You don't have to think "blink" or "breathe" every time you want to do so because your brain has partitioned those tasks into automatic processes. In the same vein, (hah) your heart beats without you having to command it, even though since it is a muscle you should be able to.
When you blink "manually", including one at a time, you move that involuntary action to voluntary, and you need to dedicate time and effort to it. Youre not mentally equipped to *do* that, so eventually, you will actually get tired of blinking one eye at a time, resulting in more exaggerated blinks until you blink both at the same time.

So technically speaking, every phone and computer that played this clip made a new angel
Yup
in that case
don't blink!
Have you ever tried to wink or take your hand and physically blink one eye at a time.
She actually did do this but it wasnt shown
And this is why the weeping angel Funko Pop my friend gave me will forever stay trapped in the box. Not worth the risk.
I didn't like this twist. Because the plot hole that the statue of liberty turns out to be a weeping angel in later episodes, but the pictures of it don't turn into angels. There are more but this twist feels more like a once off twist. Why not have a subspecies of angels that live in data? And then there is the fact that an image of an angel in Amy's mind turned into an angel, why doesn't anyone who can remember angels not create a living angel?
The mind angel actually relates to a later line in the book that says "the eyes are not the windows to the soul they are the doorways" or something to that effect. It only happened because Amy stared into the angel's eyes. So that part at least has a specific explanation. Not sure about the other one.
"Im not blinking, have you ever tried not blinking?!"
SCP-173 Victims: very much
The weeping angels... the loneliest and older beings in the universe. They will give a " sweet" death... if they want to... in the mean time, don't blink, don't ever blink..
One question. What happens if you put a mirror in front of an Angel? Since it is technically looking at itself the whole time it won't move. Just have to make sure it's not covering its eyes with its hands. So, just as it attacks.
I just realized that if you knew your phone well enough you could hold up the selfie camera and just have it stare at itself, freeing you up.
In my opinion the best Dr. Who episode ever. At least the best I've seen.
I will say that the twist where the reflection of the angel in her eyes also becomes an angel is horrific yet amazing writing
And then after everything was said and done and the angels finally grabbed the doctor they finally, finally get to ask him the most important question they've needed the answer to the entire time.
Are you covered under your car's extended warranty?
And then the doctor just explodes
Really really don't like that idea. It messed with the angels in a way that set bad with me. Basically anything that looks like an angel can now be an angel after this.
It's not anything that *looks* like an angel; it's any image of an actual angel, be it a painting, camera, or film. If you drew something that happens to look like an angel, but an angel wasn't your subject, it would not be an angel
Imagine being this obtuse 😂
Yes, this is the episode I based one of my City of Mist characters on (a Tabletop RPG where you are ordinary people empowered by legendary fictional characters and stories).
It is a very useful ability if you think of it. The angels can clone themself, just appear out of your eyes and probably memorys, they should be able to act in the past of recordings and manipulate them and it makes them more horror than they are already.
I always wondered, does this effect work with mirrors? Would the angel be stuck in the mirror? Create a new 2d version? Could a mirror version attack your reflection? Would it do nothing?
They won't even risk mirrors because once they see another angel they be no longer a problem
If an angel looked in a mirror it would be frozen. But the issue is, if you hold a mirror you might tilt it enough it cannot see itself and you might blink.
@DembaiVT I was more thinking like if you look at it in a mirror. And would that stop it from moving as well? And does the angel in the mirror become one as well and now you have to deal with two? Cause if a tv screen that emits light can become one, why could a mirror that reflects light not be able to turn into one?
@@Elewood9Infinite Weeping Angel Generator 💀
Amy got it lit right, almost. Blink one eye at a time, so you are always looking at the angel.
Amy with the pause button for the win .
Yeah. Just blink one eye at a time, like ‘camera one, camera two’. 😅
I’ve always wondered if you can survive a weeping angel by simply manually blinking each eye by itself
Why do they never think of reflective sunglasses?
These 😇 are really scary. You can't turn to find something to fight them, you can't blink,..., they always win 😂
Blink with one eye at a time, they literally cant do anything
@@gaminggamer9698theoretically that's true.
@@cathyrowe9216 you need to always be able to see them, youre always able to see that way, simple
@@gaminggamer9698just try to blink with 1 eye at a time for 2 min only ..you will see how its not easy...our eyes and our brain are not meant to work like it..its not hard fews minutes but longer its not the same game
@@Meatwallyou can always use your hand to force one eye open while the other eye get some rest then switch. It's just that simple, I kept it up for like 10 minutes and got bored
I just learned you can close one eye then open both eyes then close the other. So technically I dont have to blink indefinitely. 😂😂😂
They are similar to the ghosts in Super Mario and Luigi’s Mansion
Just hold up a mirror. It has it's eyes open, so it would lock itself in place
Anything that holds the image of a angel turns into one, doing that would put you in more danger ☠️
@@thatguy2920 so any puddle or body of water would turn into one? How defined does the image have to be? And since the angel already there and the one made from the mirror are looking at each other, wouldn't it still work?
Offset winking would be the right move
As cool as the angels are this little bit of lore is stupid
Is this the episode where the reflection of an angel in their eye becomes an angel in their head?
one eye at a time blinking
I never understood why they couldnt just close one eye at a time.
Wait, if the image of an angel becomes an angel, can’t they just multiply by walking in front of a mirror?
Blink each eye while keeping the other open.
I just ruined this monster for myself.
So shouldn't memories of angels be angels then?
Wait, you just need to keep looking at it ?
Use one eye and blink the other lol.
blink your left eye then your right eye girl
Wouldn't closeing one eye at a time solve the problem, or did they explain that at some point?
Controlling blinking is hard, especially under stress. One messed up blink and it's over.
What happens when the image is burned on your retina after staring too long?
This actually is what ends up happening to her. She escapes the room but the angel goes with her as an image in her eyes. The angels freaked me out so I never finished the episode and it's been so long I don't remember what my friend said happened. I do know an angel is what killed her, but I think it was a different episode so I don't know how she survived having one in her eyes.
@@amandakolh2166she died at the age of 87. She is slightly younger here, so it clearly happened in another episode.
Would mirrors work?
