Astro A50 and A40 are the best gaming headphones. They are open back so work well with glasses wearers, the cushions are super soft and breathable, and the mic quality and software has always been good for me. I have been using Astro A40's since 2016 and I have tried headsets from other brands but always came back. They are definitely very close to being perfect.
to use with my Xbox SX, the Xbox wireless headset is by far the best I've ever tested, and I've tested many others before, like the BlackShark V2, Razer Kaira wired and wireless, etc. The Xbox Wireless headphones manage to have a super detailed sound with the bass at the right point without being too much. I use it especially to play COD and the enemies' footsteps are heard in maximum detail.
Great vid as always! I just purchased 77inch Sony A95L (the tv I'm assuming you alluded to) and am wondering if the Xbox HDMI port on the Logitech A50X base station can be used to connect to my apple TV 4K. I hear there's benefits to having the Apple TV 4K connected to a 2.1 port outside of the higher frame rates... As you know the Sony A95L has only 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and I'm using 1 for my Sonos system (eARC) and the second for PS5...
You genuinely don’t need the A50x.. the gen 5 A50 are exactly the same except a notch lower compared to the microphone and then the 4K audio pass through? 😂 I’m a hardcore gamer and even I know that for the price point, it’s not worth it! Don’t be fooled into thinking the x model are any better in sound quality, build quality etc etc the only missing feature is the pass through box.. not worth the extra in my honest opinion 😅

I have the Nova Pro wireless with wicked cushions and it’s the only headset I’ve ever had that hasn’t hurt my head after a couple hours. And I’ve tried probably 20-25 headsets lol. I really want to try the A50 X and TB Stealth Pro, but Astros have always hurt the top of my head.
On the 21st when Amazon started there Black Friday sales I picked up the razor black shark V2 pro 2024 for Xbox absolutely love it. Hands down the most comfortable headset I've been playing every day since I got it roughly 5 days and I've yet to need to charge it highly recommend that to anyone
I'm only using Nova Pro on PlayStation 5, and I think the microphone sound is too small. Is there any solution to this? It would be great if you could update this part in the still. It would be even better if you could use sona tuning on the console.
if you only care about mic quality and the sounds, just downgrade it to arctis nova 5, sounds good with same hundred presets in sonar also miles better in terms of mic quality!
Where’s the Turtle Beach stealth pro in this list? I was one click away ordering them seeing your comparrison video (acris nova pro vs turtle beach)
I will mainly use them for ps5, and want the most bass….turtle beach or steelseries?
Do any headsets come with built in voice changers anymore? I can’t seem to find any.
What the stealth 700 gen 3’s?
BRO wich one is good for fps?
I would say the ROG Delta 2s were probably what you are looking for then
@@TheGamingWastelander How about Audeze maxwell? What you chose between rog and maxwell?
@moghysorinel9883 if ya want a lighter headset with great looks good mic and VERY good audio pick the rog if ya want a VERY heavy buuuut slightly better audio by not much go with the maxwell but also you almost have to pay double for the maxwell and if your gaming for long periods the 1.08 pounds on the maxwell is gonna give ya headaches
the Sennheiser gsp 370.. its criminally underated with great sound and amazing battery life
No mention of the Audeze Maxwell?
Yesterday’s news and disregarded.
It’s just not that good… the headphones doesn’t last the test of time.
Do Aldi's headsets work for Xbox ?
can u make a review on the arctis 7+ steel series?
How long have your A50s lasted?
Arctis nova pro wireless user since it came out. I like it but the anc nub was a bummer, it is starting to turn off and on regularly and the sound will crackle. I might have to go for the Astro A50 Gen 5 next
The new white Arctis Nova Pro Wireless shrunk the anc nub down to nothing. IMHO the new white nova pro wireless is the best gaming headset on the market. Picked them up for under 300$ with pre Black Friday sales. The new white nova pro wireless blows those shit Astro A50 gen 5s off the wall.
@@godlywisdom9841Shit Gen 5s when you didn’t even try it?
Astro A50 and A40 are the best gaming headphones. They are open back so work well with glasses wearers, the cushions are super soft and breathable, and the mic quality and software has always been good for me. I have been using Astro A40's since 2016 and I have tried headsets from other brands but always came back. They are definitely very close to being perfect.
They are crap
to use with my Xbox SX, the Xbox wireless headset is by far the best I've ever tested, and I've tested many others before, like the BlackShark V2, Razer Kaira wired and wireless, etc. The Xbox Wireless headphones manage to have a super detailed sound with the bass at the right point without being too much. I use it especially to play COD and the enemies' footsteps are heard in maximum detail.
Where would you rank Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset in comparison to these you have here?
Have you done the jbl quantum 360 headset? I can’t find a review or they’re non English. Others are 360p which has leather I’m after the cloth one
@ ya I ended up buying them but tbh not a fan at all of the sound. Idk if just me but audeze maxwell, penrose, and turtle beach stealth pro all sound leagues better than the A50X to me. I think I even prefer the pulse elite over the A50X. Not a PC gamer though so maybe there's something I'm missing. This is just my experience on PS5 Pro.
@@seifbuysyeah for console maybe the A50/A50x aren’t for you but on PC it’s night and day but everyone is different I just feel that for the money you pay TB headsets are just bonfire material/wall ping pong material 😂 I wouldn’t buy a TB stealth Pro even though I’ve heard the audio is amazing because for me comfort and weight are a huge factor 😅 I can’t even wear a beanie without getting head fatigue 😂
@ haha fair enough! ya the stealth pros could use some work in comfort dept comparatively. Glad I checked with you first coz I was going to make a video trashing the A50X but prob just my hearing and playing on console. Have a happy new year bro 🙏 🎉
My sons favorite gaming headset; CORSAIR VOID RGB ELITE Wireless Gaming Headset 🤪
Picked up a backup on Black Friday for $69
No love for the kraken v4 pro? I kinda dig the haptics thing and want to buy them but I'm hesitant.
they cost a kidney but other than it they look good
Hey man quick question, i used the nova pros wireless recently bought the Astro gen 5 i like the sound much more, but its "only"" 16 bit on consoles is it noticeable what u think ?
Not noticeable and if someone says they do they are lying.
I use and recomend the SS Artics 1x. Because is not that expensive and works everywhere. I looked to your videos before buying them
Now I remember that in my case they dont recognice the microfone 😢
Cant decide between Turtle Beach Stealth 700 g3, Razer Blackshark v2 or Steelseries Arctis Nova 7..
My concerns are that Razer are to narrow around the ears, and Turtle Beach im worried that they will get too hot? Razer has the best mic and TB has the best sound. Maybe Arctic Nova are just overall good?
I have Turtle Beach 700 gen 3. The headset is extremely comfortable, and sounds great. I think the mic is pretty bad, and mic monitoring (really important to me) sounds awful. Been considering returning and getting A50. It's a shame because I loved my gen2 700s.
@@kobeandgary The mic worries me aswell. I have had the Arctis 7 for 6 years and it has been a great purchase. There is just something boring about buying a new Steelseries.. I kinda want to try something new..
Blackshark is off my list but the Turtle beach Atlas air also seem quite nice. :D
Lucid sound ls50x is just a brilliant pair of headphones 👍. Extremely cozy, amazing sound quality and very good battery life 👌
Just bought the Arctis Nova 5 and when I watch the Arctis Pro in this video, I was kind of disappointed by the mic quality, that headset as a top of the line of steelseries supposed to sound better or even the best compared to his little brother (Nova 5), but surprise2. Pretty happy with my Cop though, thanks for your comparison and recommendation (Nova 5 vs 7)!
Got the Atlas Airs they are my favorite headset ive ever had everytime i have a headset it gets way to heavy or i take one pad off my ears but these are great highly recommend them to anyone
I have had 4 Astro a50s and 3 were the current gen of a50, and the headband on all three of them broke within a few months. My friend also got a pair and he had the same issue.
Love the reviews, I've tried many headsets but in my humble opinion the Sony inzone H9 are by far my favourite. I only play on PS5 and this headset for me does everything well especially game/chat specific buttons. They really shine when you create your own profile through the Sony dashboard, the sound is fantastic.
If you only play PlayStation these are the way to go 👍🏼
Since I got my Nova Pros and have been using the dual battery system, I dont think I could ever use a wireless headset that doesn't have that
Could you do Top 5 best wired gaming headset ?
Im stuck between astro a50 gen 5 and steelseries arctis nova pro wireless which one should i buy? Both of them are now 261€ in amazon🤔🤔🤔
Arctis microphones can't be replaced on the 7x. No replacements to purchase per steelseries customer service. Not even a year of usage. Garbage in my opinion. I've bought cheaper headsets that lasted my son longer! I do not recommend steelseries!
Hey Techne, love your videos! I was thinking of buying a headset for the holidays and so far I was locked for de Audeze Maxwells, but now I’m not sure after the video. Im trying to get like a “Do it all” headset for gaming and also music listening. You think I should go with the Maxwells or look somewhere else?
Been a fan for 4 years hope you’re doing amazing❤
@@hising54 maxwells are very good, but also very very heavy. The A50 gen 5’s are my current go to
Get them. They are definitely a one and done headset. Comfort can be worked on ie.. new pads and comfort strap
@ thanks, been playong a lot of COD lately you think they’ll be decent for that? I know they are probably not the best for FPS but like i said i want mostly a one and done headset
@@TheTechne thanks for the response and recommendation Techne!❤️ keep up the amazing vids
I would love to see a video on using the nova pros. I have the wired ones and they are super quiet even with everything cranked.
there is a volume wheel on the headset, make sure its on max volume
Did you turn the volume limiter off? It has one turned on by default for the EU market. Turning it off adds volume to pretty much every Steelseries headset
Surprised that the HyperX Cloud 3 wireless didn’t at least get an honorable mention
They have limited features which aren't enough for some.
