For everyone asking why the Audeze Maxwells didn't make it on this list, and many of your all know I love them, and have been praising Audeze way back in the Penrose days. Well they are just so heavy I find myself rarely using them, and when I do it probably for a few rounds and I want two take them off. They just need an update/refresh. You need to get a new comfort strap. The one from Capra Audio is like $15 and changes them into a super cozy pair of cans. Worth at least trying. Could easily be its own standalone video since so many people have the Maxwell but also find it too heavy
@thetechne love that you put this disclaimer right off the rip. Yes, Maxwell are slightly heavy after a bit of gaming, but the sound is worth it. I find myself gaming with them three to four hours max, with small breaks in between.

I don't know if I have an abnormally large head or because I wear glasses or a combo of both, but I hated both the artic nova pros and the nova 7 both with wicked cushions too. The sounded great but I would get so hot and pressure on my head. And everyone on UA-cam hyped them up for being comfortable! I was an A50 user for years, so looking forward to trying them again!

Arctis nova pro wireless user since it came out. I like it but the anc nub was a bummer, it is starting to turn off and on regularly and the sound will crackle. I might have to go for the Astro A50 Gen 5 next
Trying to decide which one to buy, the GPRO X2 is currently winning. After the video, I see the Astro A50 as an option. I use it to play FPS games and for work meetings. Can anyone help me?
to use with my Xbox SX, the Xbox wireless headset is by far the best I've ever tested, and I've tested many others before, like the BlackShark V2, Razer Kaira wired and wireless, etc. The Xbox Wireless headphones manage to have a super detailed sound with the bass at the right point without being too much. I use it especially to play COD and the enemies' footsteps are heard in maximum detail.
Great vid as always! I just purchased 77inch Sony A95L (the tv I'm assuming you alluded to) and am wondering if the Xbox HDMI port on the Logitech A50X base station can be used to connect to my apple TV 4K. I hear there's benefits to having the Apple TV 4K connected to a 2.1 port outside of the higher frame rates... As you know the Sony A95L has only 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and I'm using 1 for my Sonos system (eARC) and the second for PS5...
Astro A50 and A40 are the best gaming headphones. They are open back so work well with glasses wearers, the cushions are super soft and breathable, and the mic quality and software has always been good for me. I have been using Astro A40's since 2016 and I have tried headsets from other brands but always came back. They are definitely very close to being perfect.

One problem tho - they are made for very large heads, with medium/small head you have to adjust them for maximum and it bareally fits. Basically oposite from Corsair HS80 I returned bcs they were too small on the head, too tight.

Shame you didn’t list alienwares new pro wireless headset I like them as much as my artic nova pros and I think they are more comfortable and have better overall sound. Great video though !
Currently using Arctis 7s and Sen Game One+DAC but I'm tired of the wire. The Alienware being on sale for BF and having the extra 10% for signing up on Dell is very tempting atm. They are like 60-80 nucks less than the nova pros and ROG Delta II here.
@ nova pros , mainly cause the ear cups held sound in better for the anc , the a50x sound great though they just let more sound out but you can buy wicked cushions that help keep sound in on them , also likes novas dock as you don’t need software you can control it all from its dock and the removable batteries were great never a dead headset
Im weary of trying Steelseries Arctis headsets after having Arctis Pro wireless and it was the worst headset ive ever owned. Directional audio was non-existant across two headsets, two dacs, three gaming platforms, and hours and hours of settings - sound was just overall crappy no matter what I did. That kept me from going to the Arctis Nova Pros, I went with TB Stealth pros and have been really happy, but the mic sucks.
Just to add to the Maxwell. I have purchased the Maxwell twice. Returned it twice. The first time was right when it came out. For my head shape. I could only wear it for about an hour before my head started hurting. I ordered it again a few months ago and bought the WC head strap and pads to see if they would help. Exactly same issue. I can’t wear it for more than an hour without issues. Comfort is supremely subjective but for my head shape, the Maxwell is just impossible for me to use.

I have the newer white artic nova pros , had the og pair . I have the newer a50x , I also have that turtle beach pair. Always pass em along to family as I get new pairs to test .
They are like 60-80 nucks less than the nova pros and ROG Delta II here.
what do u lioke better nova pros or a50?
@ nova pros , mainly cause the ear cups held sound in better for the anc , the a50x sound great though they just let more sound out but you can buy wicked cushions that help keep sound in on them , also likes novas dock as you don’t need software you can control it all from its dock and the removable batteries were great never a dead headset
You forgot to use the mic on the corsairs at the end😪
good stuff baldy
Oh I can’t take this channel seriously now techne top 5 headsets without the audeze maxwell 🤣
I wondered that aswell haha. it beats out the steelseries in the head to head video, but some how doesnt make this list? Confusing....
Or he just doesn own them since they are quite expensive
He clearly states at the start of the video that the one's featured are 'HIS' favourites.
Well those bricks ain’t cozy that’s prolly why
Grown ass man saying you can’t take him seriously because your favorite headset isn’t on the list 😂, goofy ahh
Are u getting payed from astro/logitech? Im just curious if its your real opinion
Maxwell are the best. I had Astro in the past and they died twice. Never again. Also, Audeze sound is second to none.
the new astro graphene drivers are so good
@@TheTechne but, are they better than magnetic?😉
Techne keep up the good work
Stay Cozy this Thanksgiving
Dang I'm surprised Black Shark didn't make it on the list 😂😂😂
Nova 5x is worth a shout aswell with that EQ app. You got to do a top 5 wired now techne can't leave us hanging. I hear the mmx 300 sounds fantastic
Maxell clears them all
save your money guys and buy the rog pelta, 150 bucks and they sounds great for both music and gaming.
Maxwells didn't make the list ??
Just to add to the Maxwell. I have purchased the Maxwell twice. Returned it twice. The first time was right when it came out. For my head shape. I could only wear it for about an hour before my head started hurting.
I ordered it again a few months ago and bought the WC head strap and pads to see if they would help.
Exactly same issue. I can’t wear it for more than an hour without issues.
Comfort is supremely subjective but for my head shape, the Maxwell is just impossible for me to use.
Atlas Air is my GOAT
