Hope you all enjoy the updated review for the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless! Luckily, I was able to get this video to tie in with Black Friday sales, so I'll include some handy links below! The headset (in black and white) is currently on sale for $279.99 on the Steelseries website. Additionally, if you sign up for their newsletter, you can get an additional 10% off (according to a pop up I'm seeing when I go to the website, YMMV!) steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-pro-wireless-xbox-pc?color=black They're also the same price on Amazon, and if you're feeling adventurous, you can get a USED version for $224! www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Arctis-Wireless-Multi-System-Headset/dp/B09ZWCYQTX?th=1 Besides those two sources, they seem to pretty much be the same price everywhere else! If you're lucky and find it cheaper somewhere else, share in the comments to potentially help others! Thanks!
I swear bro. This is the content people want. Your voice and edit style work great with delivering information. Gaming news or something of the sort would be great! Love the content bro!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Comments like this always make me happy, I'm glad that people are enjoying the content! I'm trying to brainstorm up some stuff to make, maybe I'll keep those suggestions in the back pocket! Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the video!
oh wow, i was checking out your other video about this headset because it popped up in my recommended, wanted to see the rest of your videos and i see this video was uploaded 2 weeks ago, lucky me!
Had mine for 2+ years now and the base station stopped working after a firmware update, the headset also makes a constant buzzing electric currect sound, which i put up with for like a year now. After talking with customer support they'll replace both of them for me for free.
I purchased mine in March of 23. I still use them and switch between PC and PS5. I think it's a good headset with good features and quality sound. However, recently I've been tipped off to the idea that these gaming headsets are mostly advertising and packaging. Often for less than you spend on A50s or Nova Pros, you can get into an audiofile headset with better sound.
I think that there's definitely a discrepancy between some "Gaming" labelled products and their quality, companies certainly try to get away with charging more because Gamers will spend money. I think that these sound pretty good though, personally, and I've never felt like I've been ripped off. I will say though that if you wanted maybe better headphones for cheaper, they don't always have a microphone, so you would have to then get a separate microphone in that case. Glad to hear you've enjoyed your time with the headset, and thanks for the comment!
It's crazy how much they charge for gamer products. IEMS and other good headphones that are wired sound waaaaay better. It's just the mic portion that may be conflicting for you. If you want it wireless that's a little more complicated depending on what platform your using. If it's an Xbox you need to have a licensed one. Otherwise I would get a good desktop mic and an item to game and communicate with.
I also love the headset but there is this odd mic issue ive had. When i went into party chats on ps5 my friends would say my voice seems low and when i unplug them and plug them back in from the dac my voice comes in a lot louder. This is true because ive done a mic test myself and it is way louder. I ended up trying 3 other pairs thinking i had faulty ones and all of them have had the same issue. Once its unplugged and plugged back in im good until i turn off the system or put it in rest mode where then turning the console back on i have to repeat the unplugging and plugging process all over again. Other than this yes you were spot on with other little issues but the sound quality is great and they are louder than any headset ive had previously.
Hmmm... now you're making me wonder if my mic test encountered that same problem... That would definitely be nice to know, thanks for the heads up! I'm glad you're still enjoying the headset; I agree that the sound quality is great!
Thanks bro, great video! I watched your previous video like a week ago because I wanted to upgrade my Cloud II and you just dropped new video. Still don't know if I will be upgrading to novas, but you really helped me anyway!
It's such an annoying issue, lol. Shouldn't have to rely on the EQ to fix the sound settings! But I'm glad it's not just me having this issue, now I don't feel as crazy!
I've seen a lot of iffy reviews on the Astros. Never used them before, but I've seen enough things online for me to probably not get them. I hope you enjoy the arctis Nova pros if you get them!
I have the older Steelseries pro wireless and I've also experienced the issue of some crackling noises and a disconnection. This usually happened while I was playing a game. I almost think it's a software issue (sonar maybe?) because at the same time, my game started to stutter.
Im not sure if it is, because tbh I don't really use sonar a lot. I just roll with the flow, lol. It might have something to do with interference! Kinda glad it's not just a me problem, although I also wish we didn't have it happen 😅
Yeah I'm not sure it's sonar related but I do think it's software related since I notice the visual jank on the PC. Maybe just the driver that's installed on the PC .
I dropped mine as well while standing. It was fine at first, but shortly after my mute button began to break. When I'd press it, it'd make the audible beep 50 times instead of just once. Even tapping on the left earcup was enough to trigger the mute beeping. Annoying, but I dealt with it. Then, months later, the mic began to go which assume is also due to the drop. It started picking up even the slightest of exhales and sometimes would not pick up my voice or would cut out. Other times it would be randomly staticky until I adjusted it. It took like 6 months for all of this to happen but I only ever dropped this headset one time. Not sure if I wanna replace it with another one and pray I'm not as forgetful when taking a swig of cold medicine, or if I want to spend an extra $30 and get the Astro A50X. I guess my question would be how is your mute button holding up after a year?
Mine is still holding up well, even after the fall! I've heard other people say that they've had issues with their mute button, but so far mine is still working well (knock on wood...). If you can afford a new pair, there's been some pretty good sales lately on them! Sorry to hear about all the issues you had with yours after the drop, it sounds like a really unfortunate situation.
I've gone thru 3 over them. The first 2 disconnected from the DAC and wouldn't reconnect. The 3rd one, the mix died and only 1 or the 2 batteries it came with worked, so I had to go to the steel series site and order 2 more batteries.
Holy crap, that's crazy! I'm sorry to hear you went through so many problems with the headset! I hope that you're still enjoying it despite the issues you've encountered!
I haven't tried to clean up the mic audio with sonar, but I'm not sure there is features in there for that. It's more like controlling all your audio, but it might be possible! I might have to look into that!
I went for these ps5 version and while on ps5 it’s good but are terrible because it doesn’t work at all on Xbox wireless and even on wired it’s horrible on Xbox on weird there’s like a block or something on the ps5 version I’ve had work on weird 2% of time on Xbox. It’s like it chooses and picks when he wants to work on Xbox wired I get it. It’s the PS five version but if I paid 350. You would expect more for it to be easier used on other consoles without there being a block.
Yeah, there's a really weird thing with these headphones where there's a PS5/PC version and an Xbox/PC version. From what I understand, the Xbox/PC version even works with the PS5 but the PS5 version doesn't work with the Xbox? It's really weird, and I'm not sure why they even have different versions. I think the Xbox has a specific encoder, so maybe that's why they aren't working? Regardless, I'm glad you're enjoying the headset besides the Xbox downside!
these are totaly not worthy that money. Worst soun tnah my older Arctis Pro Wirelles, and after update sidetone is basicly nonexistent. If you have good headphones, dont buy these. If you wanna have replacable batteries go for Turtlebeach, if ou wanna have wired good sounded headset go for Audio-Technica ATH-M50xSTS USB.

That's awesome that they'll replace it for free! Sounds like good customer service! Glad you're able to get a new headset from them.
Thank you for testing the mic!
Yes, I knew I had to include it! Idk why I didn't test it on the initial video, I think i just had a mega brainfart!
@@pat_mgroyn yeah your brain is pretty stinky

I would say Replacing the earcups is a good thing to do Ik at this price point it shouldn't be that way but it feels better at least for me
I definitely agree. Not the most ideal to have to replace them, but I feel like the replacement cushions feel so much better!
Thanks bro, great video! I watched your previous video like a week ago because I wanted to upgrade my Cloud II and you just dropped new video. Still don't know if I will be upgrading to novas, but you really helped me anyway!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video and it helped! Good luck on upgrading your headphones!
Also i have the s21 ultra, and i know wym when it comes to the audio issue. I had to tweak my eq and bring up the mids and the highs to fix this
It's such an annoying issue, lol. Shouldn't have to rely on the EQ to fix the sound settings! But I'm glad it's not just me having this issue, now I don't feel as crazy!
I've used astro a40s and mix amp for so long. I think it's time for a change

@CraigAschbrenner it could be for sure. We may never know lol.

7:40 this happened 3 times in the last 2 days and I got this thing 2 days ago
Hm... sorry to hear that. Could be worth looking into getting a replacement if it was happening that quickly!
Awesome video
Thanks for the kind words, glad to see you enjoyed the video! :)
@@pat_mgroyn thanks again
Had them for 2 years now, best headset I’ve ever bought, way better than any Astro/ Logitech/ Turtle Beach products price is worth it
I'm glad to hear they're still holding up after 2 years and that you're still enjoying them! Hopefully they'll last a long time!
I actually just got them this week after watching your other video
Oh wow, I hope you're enjoying them! Also hope you got a good deal on them!
The volume thing is the same for me on both my iPhone and my LG TV.
Okay, so maybe I'm not crazy! lol
Still the best headset I owned to this day
Glad you're enjoying it! I think it's a good headset!

ANC is pretty bad if you have used any proper ANC headsets. Compared to Airpods they don’t hold a candle.
remember me when (not if) you get famous
Long road to go but will do! Thanks for the encouragement with the "not if" lol! Glad you enjoy the content, thanks for the motivation! :)
