Is there another video where you cover your rebound settings? Do you bracket those too, or do you just start with the manufacturer suggested h/l speed rebound, then adjust from there?
I don't have a video dedicated to rebound, but bracketing is the best way to dial those in. I do generally start with the manufacturer recommendation is they offer it. Just note that you should use whatever air pressure you end at to get your desired sag, if you're using those. Quick Fox example, while I weight about 165lbs to get 15% sag I air the shock to the recommended 180-190 pressure which is 89psi so I start with the LSR 4 and HSR 3 from the chart on ridefox.com.
As a 5010 rider considering a stiffer fork I’m really looking forward to the review video of this Ohlins. I ride similar(ish) stuff in the UK and while the Pike feels great I do wonder if a lyric, 36, or ohlins would make it more capable and decent for racing UK enduro tracks.
for low speed stuff i session mostly flat sprint/pump terrain until i reach a setting that FEELS like ive done the section really fast high speed stuff i always tweak depending on the feature/trail
Same, this was mostly to set the low speed. I mentioned in the video that I had already been running the high speed rather firm for that reason. There was the one large compression at the start of the run to help confirm my thoughts.
I kept the travel stock(140) and the weight gain was minimal so it still feels nice and balanced. It definitely helped the bike "feel" more capable. I'm no longer death gripping the thing and especially when things get chunky I feel the stiffness is more balanced front to back.
Gnarly section of trail at video end! 🙌🏻
@@papi5bikes had to see what it could handle😬
Tennant is the best spot for dialing in suspension 👌
@@blap_mtb yeah if you’re not sure how long your brackets should just go there

It has definitely help me feel more comfortable on the bike.

How capable did the fork change make the 5010? Still feel balanced w rear?
