I've owned 3.0 thru the 4.0, but it seems Alien is missing by pushing either one or more holsters. The BIG POINT to all of this is, if opt for Alien Gear your OPTING INTO A LARGE SYSTEM of carry/mounting modes with extreme FLEXABILITIES just as one carry my flex. I purchased the cloak tuck 3.5 and I have to say that Alien gear customer service is outstanding. The holster didn't quite work for the firearm I had intended but they changed out the kydex portion several times to get it just right and with their chat feature on the website it was super simple to talk to someone without calling and being placed on hold. I'll buy from them again and if you're not sure about it just buy one, if you don't like it I'm sure sending it back would be a breeze.
Good info! I use Alien Gear with a Kore Essential belt. I an older and reaching behind is a bit tough but the 430 position is very comfortable and even driving you candy even really tell it's there. I need to upgrade to a shape shift setup as there are times I feel I want to appendix carry. Thx for the vidio!
I typically preposition and attach the holster the night before I put my pants on each morning .. Faster and easier ... All that's left is inserting my Glock 27 before I leave and I am good to go...
Just recently picked up an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck IWB Holster for my recently acquired Kimber Ultra Carry II .45 and love it! Contours to the body well, secures the firearm, and once your mind gets over the fact that the holster is longer than your typical IWB holster, after some fitting and adjusting it's very comfortable and secures the firearm extremely well!

Buying pants that fit 2 sizes big is ridiculous. The point of carrying a firearm is for protection NOT to have to wear MC Hammer pants everyday. Pants/trousers that fit that aren't skinny jeans does just fine
Its just like finding the right holster that fits right. You may not need bigger pants if its not uncomfortable. I dont think i would like this type of holster. I prefer vertical shoulder holster or pocket carry. I donf like MC Hammer or Alladin pants but skinny lady pants with hips are hella comfortable!

Very helpful video...I know it's awkward....almost like helping a buddy try on a pair of pants...but the advice about the 4:30 position and drawing technique was informative....I have had a lot of friends refer this holster.
I carry the iwb 4.0 for my Springfield subcompact gen 2 9mm and by far it's the best iwb holster I have ever used it's easy to put on and take off it never leaves a print like other holsters have and I wear it all day and never have an issue with it. And when u draw your gun it's nice and smooth I give it a 10/10 compared to other holsters
You should advise your customers: To Remove the holster, push DOWN on the top of the belt clips BEFORE trying to unclip from belt. That releases the little inward facing “hook” at the bottom of the clip, and makes it possible to pull the clip UP and off the belt. Like many, I had a hell of a time getting the holster off until discovering this... Thanks for the simple, easy to understand presentation. Just got a 3.5 Alien 👽 for my Shield. Very comfortable.

Appreciate this. I'm new to iwb holsters. And my uncle gifted my one of these. Earlier models but still great product. And gifted me an XD9 mod.2 4.0 ... I've been trying to find a video on this product with a pistol similar size. Not quite full size but not quite compact. About the same exact size as my Glock 19. I'll catch a lot of flack for this. But I like the mod.2 better than the G19 due to a few reasons. I also like the safety features of the XD series
The size of the gun is the biggest factor. T-shirts of any type are the second. T-shirts are often solid colors and anything on the waist or midsection (like fat or holsters) shows immediately, even when standing straight. Bend forward even a few degrees and everyone can see that something is there.
I thought it was great, it was indeed funny, but it's a beginner video, beginners are always super awkward when they try to put on a holster for the very first time. I think beginners will feel confortable watching this as a first video. But, yes, there is a lot of good potential for memes.

@@rjward1775 I'm currently using a Sticky holster with hip carry. I took a few old undershirts and cut off the sleeves and cut out the middle of the body, leaving about 3 inches on the bottom. Not pretty, but it works. I just ordered a few different mesh undershirts and a couple mesh cycling vests. We'll see if any of those work.
To me, Tom has his holster too far back. I position my Alien Gear holster with the front belt clip on the other (front) side of that belt loop. That way, retrieval is easier.
I never liked carrying in the 4 o clock position. A) when I holster it is a lot harder to watch the gun go into the holster and check to verify if the holster is clear of obstruction. B) it is hard not to flag myself putting the gun back in the holster. That being said use what is comfortable and works for you.
Agreed. First few weeks of carrying I carried 4 o clock. Now I'm way more comfortable and honestly conceal better carrying 2-3. No impediment to sitting. No chafing of my hip bone. No jutting into my back or pressing the hilt of the gun upwards by sitting on odd surfaces. Pants would get dragged down by awkward weight distribution on the belt (then again, it's not a gun belt) whereas in 2-3 it fits snug and doesn't drag the pants down. I also don't have to reach behind me to grip instead of at my side
I just got my shape-shift a week ago. I only have one issue. The holster lock-in just what I was looking for in a holster, but it digs into the skin. I wish they made a better mechanic for security against snatch scenarios and comfortability.

I noticed on this video you didn't use the optional thumb brake. I use it on my iwb holster and I've noticed that it tends to dig into my back when I sit

I have been wearing my Alien Gear holster for 2 weeks. ( AIWB) cant seem to stop it from shifting around. My belt is fairly new...heavy leather. Maybe I'm wearing to far to my right? The bottom of the holster rubs on my leg..and also the top stitching rubs my stomach. Maybe I just can do appendix carry..but Im not giving up! I like the holster, plus all the features I can get in the future...esp a docking mount for the under the dash. Maybe try it at 330- 4 o' clock position?

It's different for everyone because everyone's body is different. I carry a 365xl in a blackpoint holster. I tried 4:30-5 position and found it made sitting rather annoying. I shifted it to 2:30-3:00 and it is so much more comfortable it's insane.

It makes it difficult to holster when you can't see where your muzzle is pointing. This is more complicated than it needs to be. Stuff it in the front and it will make holster and unholster easier. People are freaked out about appendix carry but it allows the best access and security to your gun. Keep it simple.
My go to IWB holster my only complaint is AG moving away from the 3.0 in favor of the 3.5s. I don't care for the 3.5 because of no option for steel clips like what was offered for the 3.0s. Other than that I love your holsters.

Dude I wear 32/34 pants. I just went to 34/34 pants. Works just fine.

I wear my alien iwb at 2:00. It’s more comfortable in my truck. Easier to retrieve.
I have been wearing my Alien Gear holster for 2 weeks. ( AIWB) cant seem to stop it from shifting around. My belt is fairly new...heavy leather. Maybe I'm wearing to far to my right? The bottom of the holster rubs on my leg..and also the top stitching rubs my stomach. Maybe I just can do appendix carry..but Im not giving up! I like the holster, plus all the features I can get in the future...esp a docking mount for the under the dash. Maybe try it at 330- 4 o' clock position?

I carry a 365xl in a blackpoint holster. I tried 4:30-5 position and found it made sitting rather annoying. I shifted it to 2:30-3:00 and it is so much more comfortable it's insane.

Wow. That was complicated. Appendix carry is so much simpler.
How?
It makes it difficult to holster when you can't see where your muzzle is pointing. This is more complicated than it needs to be. Stuff it in the front and it will make holster and unholster easier. People are freaked out about appendix carry but it allows the best access and security to your gun. Keep it simple.
My go to IWB holster my only complaint is AG moving away from the 3.0 in favor of the 3.5s. I don't care for the 3.5 because of no option for steel clips like what was offered for the 3.0s. Other than that I love your holsters.
