He just carries his small .380 in his front pocket as he said he couldn't get used to a holster. I told him that he needs to try this one. I forget I have it on. As we were sitting at the dinning room table I said say someone kicked in the front door. I drew my Glock 19 from my holster and and pointed it at the door. (It was unloaded with the magazine out) and he mentioned wow you drew that fast and your sitting down. I then realized that it can be drawn sitting down. i haven't heard anyone mention this in any video that I have watched. I love this holster

Had the same problem. Way easier if you just have your belt already on your pants, and just place the holster on it wherever you want before you put your pants on.
Use the o clips they have. Over time the j clips loosen up. The o clips are great you have to put your belt thru the clips and it prevents sagging. The only time I use the original j clips is when I use the belly band.
The kit for $99 is the way to go!!! I bought it for m&p and an extra shell for ppq plus the Thigh holster. I have so many options with this set up. It’s well thought out, very user friendly. If I want go from the 4:30 position to appendix it just takes a few seconds to change holsters. Bang for buck,you can not beat it! A+ from me!
I have and I ware the older tuck point 3.0 IWB and yes it is comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone but saying you won’t even know you have it is stretching it a bit, someday I hope to afford one. I’m on disability and it don’t pay well. Keep up the great work Alien Gear
maybe ill try an alien gear next time i buy a holster.... i am currently wearing my Ruger Security-9 in a FOXX iwb (horsehide, suede comfort pad) and i love it. i wear it all day with no discomfort.. i like the look of these tho
Sadly I had to return my shape-shift 4.0 for my Springfield xd 40.. I found that the retention was waaay too much, it was very hard to take the gun in and out of the holster, even though the adjuster was backed of all the way.. I'm sure it was because it has the 2 point screw system and the rubber backing of the holster while on the belt caused the the gun to squeeze against the rubber backing even tighter...I exchanged it for the Cloak tuck 3.5 which has the 4 point screw system , and am very happy...thank you Alien Gear for your products and great service..
Hands down best holster on the market. Don’t waste your money on other IWB kydex. Not comfortable and you’ll end up not carrying. Buy this system and you’ll never leave home without it!

25 July 2019 - very well explained proceedure for how to wear and more effectively conceal an IWB holster. Alien Gear needs to remember that when illustrating on paper or demonstrating certain features, that about ten percent of the U.S. population is LEFT HANDED. So the 4:30 position would have to be 7:30 for lefties.
I really want to get your product, but you guys and many other company’s do not make one for people who have a TLR-6 equipped. I’m only aware of one of two holsters out there that accommodate this. Hope you guys make one in the future, I’ll buy one.
Looking for a non leather holster that accommodates both Gen 4 and Gen 5 for both a 19 and 26. I'm almost sold on getting this with an extra shell for 26 but man I hate clips. I see this as a problem taking it off in my car as I'm a larger fellow and it just looks like it would be a hassle.

I currently have a kydex holster for my 3 o'clock carry. It's my first holster and I've had it over a year. But it's not comfortable. Looking for a better option without having to buy several holsters. I'm in the big and tall category. I've lost 40 lbs this year, but I dont think I'll ever get to appendix carry status. The issue I've had with trying 4:30 position, is that the grip prints too easily. Maybe it's my holster. Does the Alien Gear pull the grip in closer to the body with the two clips? I carry a S&W SD9VE.

I have the same problems as you. Although I don't have an alien gear holster (yet), I find hip carry is the best solution. It tends to hide the print pretty well and it's easy to access unless I'm driving and it doesn't get in the way as much as appendix carry does.
I have one of these and I'm a big guy and use soft belts. I'm debating which clip to use? I ordered the full set. I cant seem to get it just right with any of the clips.

Question, how tight should the retention be, i dont wanna loosen it so much that it doesnt quite hold my firearm but out of the box i gotta give it a nice hard tug to draw
You can adjust the retention yourself for exactly what you want! As a mobile mechanic I find that the 3 o’clock position is best for when having to crawl under trucks and trailers it can take some to get used to but it’s pretty comfortable

I actually wanted to buy the Shape Shift system (Core Carry Pack) for my Glock 19 Gen 4, but I have a SureFire XC1 WML, and the shells do *_not_* allow for any of them to be used. I was told yesterday that there're no plans to add options to support WMLs either... which is a shame, b/c I was _really_ looking forward to getting that... this seems like such a big oversight.. :(

I draw by grabbing the back of the shirt with my left hand and pull it to my left hand which uncovers the firearm so I can grab the gun with my dominant hand. It’s how instructor Zero draws so fast
I’m not sure which model I should get , the cloak tuck 3.5 iwb , or the shape shift 4.0 iwb. Is there anything that’s a huge stand out between the two comfort wise , I know the shapeshift can turn into different types of holsters .

I'd go shoulder holster. I think OWB would be going in the wrong direction if you are trying to carry concealed. It's easily the bulkiest of the Alien Gear holster selections.

Yeah I would never wear mine with gym shorts or with anything with an elastic waist band. At that point concealment would be out the window. As I go to the gym often, I wondered the same thing until I tried it out. Waist band holsters whether IWB, AIWB, or OWB, they are meant to be used with a belt for support of the firearm as well as to anchor the holster for your draw.

He makes it look so easy putting it on. I just got mine and the clips are tough, the fight is on!

I currently have a kydex holster for my 3 o'clock carry. It's my first holster and I've had it over a year. But it's not comfortable. Looking for a better option without having to buy several holsters. I'm in the big and tall category. I've lost 40 lbs this year, but I dont think I'll ever get to appendix carry status. The issue I've had with trying 4:30 position, is that the grip prints too easily. Maybe it's my holster. Does the Alien Gear pull the grip in closer to the body with the two clips? I carry a S&W SD9VE.

I have the same problems as you. Although I don't have an alien gear holster (yet), I find hip carry is the best solution. It tends to hide the print pretty well and it's easy to access unless I'm driving and it doesn't get in the way as much as appendix carry does.
I have one of these and I'm a big guy and use soft belts. I'm debating which clip to use? I ordered the full set. I cant seem to get it just right with any of the clips.

Question, how tight should the retention be, i dont wanna loosen it so much that it doesnt quite hold my firearm but out of the box i gotta give it a nice hard tug to draw
You can adjust the retention yourself for exactly what you want! And it sounds like you know what it should be: tight enough to keep it in the holster no matter what you are doing, but loose enough that you can draw it when you need it.

Great video but will it work in a mechanic's working environment where the mechanic is on or under the vehicle or in small spaces????
As a mobile mechanic I find that the 3 o’clock position is best for when having to crawl under trucks and trailers it can take some to get used to but it’s pretty comfortable

I actually wanted to buy the Shape Shift system (Core Carry Pack) for my Glock 19 Gen 4, but I have a SureFire XC1 WML, and the shells do *_not_* allow for any of them to be used. I was told yesterday that there're no plans to add options to support WMLs either... which is a shame, b/c I was _really_ looking forward to getting that... this seems like such a big oversight.. :(
I bought the urban carry g3 , but it was to big and sticks out too much for my taste

I draw by grabbing the back of the shirt with my left hand and pull it to my left hand which uncovers the firearm so I can grab the gun with my dominant hand. It’s how instructor Zero draws so fast
I’m not sure which model I should get , the cloak tuck 3.5 iwb , or the shape shift 4.0 iwb. Is there anything that’s a huge stand out between the two comfort wise , I know the shapeshift can turn into different types of holsters .

Shawn - If you wear the jacket all the time, I’d get the belt slide OWB.
I'd go shoulder holster. I think OWB would be going in the wrong direction if you are trying to carry concealed. It's easily the bulkiest of the Alien Gear holster selections.

Yeah I would never wear mine with gym shorts or with anything with an elastic waist band. At that point concealment would be out the window. As I go to the gym often, I wondered the same thing until I tried it out. Waist band holsters whether IWB, AIWB, or OWB, they are meant to be used with a belt for support of the firearm as well as to anchor the holster for your draw.
