Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the twentieth game in the Call of Duty series, and third entry in the rebooted Modern Warfare sub-series, serving as the sequel to 2022's Modern Warfare II.
The game is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, as part of a single cross-game launcher, known as Call of Duty HQ. A full reveal of the game took place on August 17, 2023.
Modern Warfare III will feature similar gameplay to Modern Warfare II and other games in the Call of Duty series. Mechanics returning in Modern Warfare III include the return of slide cancelling. According to Activision, in addition to linear missions, the game's campaign will feature "Open Combat Missions", allowing players to freely choose how they want to approach their objectives.
In Multiplayer, all sixteen maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) will be available at launch, alongside the ability to vote for maps while in a matchmade lobby (which was absent in some recent titles), and increased player health for longer "time-to-kill" (TTK). The "red dot" minimap that was absent in Modern Warfare (2019) and Modern Warfare II will also return, which will allow players to see enemies on their radar when the enemies fire a weapon without a suppressor. Classic game modes such as "Kill Confirmed" and "Hardpoint" will return alongside a new game mode titled "Cutthroat", where three teams of three players go head to head. In addition, the Ground War mode also returns with dedicated maps, as well as War mode, last seen in Call of Duty: WWII.
The game will feature moderation powered by artificial intelligence, listening in on in-game interactions and immediately reporting any overly-toxic behavior. At least twelve new multiplayer maps have been confirmed to release post-launch.
Gaz was asking for Price's help to diffuse the bomb. But Ghost just stayed by Soap. At that point he didn't care for anything else. You can see how it hurt him. His silence said it all.

Ghost's voice and eyes broke my heart. You know he's been on so many ops with Soap since MW2, and now thinks of him as his little brother. They all will feel the loss, Price feels like he lost a son, a student, his man. Gaz feels like he lost his mate, his comrade. Ghost? Ghost lost a brother here, and his best friend.

@@romeocortez3419 very realistic that makarov sneaks up on them, gets stabbed in the shoulder receiving a likely fatal injury before shooting soap and running away right before a train passes so no one can catch him. not to mention Gaz and Ghost get there immediately after soap dies to return fire so price doesn't die and they just choose not to shoot makarov but instead take down the goons first letting him get away. So real of the story to go this route compared to orignal MW3 so true.
This has me traumatized. Just remebering how much of a character soap was a comrade, a brother to 141. Surviving Betrayl and fighting off people who seeked to tear the world apart. Rest In Peace Soap

Tough being Ghost. Imagine you saw your best bud die who was with you in Las Almas "Alone" and you can't even mourn for him properly. You hold your emotions to end Makarov, disarm the nuke and then just watch him... Then the emotions get to you. You just stay there... Looking at your teammates hoping they have a way to bring Soap back.
Everyone else gets plot armour but not Soap.

I was not ready for this. The dynamic between this Ghost and Soap will always remain a memorable one. My favorite duo 😭💔 I’m still in denial… keep believing when the scene cut to black something happened that we didn’t see… and the report + the cliff scene was a cover up and Soaps still alive somehow and this whole ending is some fucked up fever dream.
Gaz said he was gone but it wasn’t Gaz who was checking him over, Ghost said nothing to confirm. Only going by how he looked at Price before Price said k.i.a. If Soap was dead then why couldn’t they have shown Ghost closing Soaps eyes? Seems that would have made it hit home better that yeah he’s really gone and put a stop to theories before they could take off. Plus would have been an extra kick to my already broken heart over this whole mess. Something just ain’t sittin right.

@@beverlyarcher546 It may seem unfair but it's a recurring theme in MW, there's no such thing as a happy ending in this series. Eventually a beloved character has to die. But we'll see another ass beating of Makarov in the next game.

Game was good, but i genuinely didn't like how short it was and that basically all the missions were mostly solo stealth
I think people are unfair acting like his death is not emotional in this rendition, it is absolutely emotional especially for ghost. People made it seem like none of them cared at all rather than them just being caught up in the moment and having to diffuse the bomb after being in a high stress shootout with a bomb about to explode in literal seconds. Ghosts silence speaks volumes, the heavy breathy, the calling his name and putting a hand on his chest and taking his pulse despite him being very obviously dead and at the memorial clearly being on the verge of tears if not already crying. They made ghost tough in this rendition to make soaps death even more emotional, because he was ghosts person and ghost didn’t have shit before soap and they both brought something out in the other and it healed something in them and made the 141 stronger. You have the choice to either go straight to the bomb after soap dies or wait and have gaz sadly express that he’s gone, and they need to diffuse the bomb either way. The fact that ghost clearly doesn’t care about the bomb and is just in shock sitting by soap for a good 30 seconds speaks volumes as well. Price screamed multiple times when soap was shot before he was even dead, and people act like he had no reaction at all. It’s ridiculous. It’s just not as intense as the original but I think it isn’t BAD. Soaps death was absolutely rushed and they could’ve done better, but I think they intended to make the reactions a way that says “we still have a job to do, we’ve lost countless friends and team mates before this is nothing new, but soap was definitely special” and I think ghosts reaction, the serious man he is speaks for that. It was very emotional for him when in the past he didn’t seem to care much about anything but getting the job done. I think in this remaster they tried to combine all the AUs to make ghosts character so solid, you can interpret his comic back story and accept that he definitely has lots of past trauma even if not connected to the comic and og game, he’s a seasoned veteran who’s seen hundreds die including his own friends, he built up a wall. And with soap as he got closer to him made humor out of either of them dying, especially soap in a way thats supposed to empower soap and make him try harder, be more desensitized by ready, he was his mentor but not like he would mentor someone else, he was soft with him as if they were equals. And I don’t think he processed the possibility of soap dying until his death, it was just shock. He was a lone soldier before him, with a great big wall and soap to some extent was as well, and they softened each other. Their relationship in this game is not dissected nearly enough, it’s subtle and fast but it speaks volumes and shows how extremely important they were to each other

OCM is DMZ. I said this when they first introduced OCM. However, some of it was fun. I liked Highrise with Gaz. Oligarch was also really good. The one that pissed me off alot and didn't enjoy was the one with Price, the second OCM I think.

We lost Soap early in this universe, so we could have more screen time of Gaz and Ghost.
It’s kinda a fair trade in a way considering in the original trilogy of modern warfare both Gaz and Ghost died in the same games they were introduced in.
This means the deaths were merely delayed but the entire tf141 dies
No one really dies in CoD now. Remember when Alex blew up in a RADIOACTIVE FACILITY and came back out the blue? Remember when Graves died in the tank after you blew his ass to kingdom come with 20 C4's and then he magically appeared completely fine? Watch them make some bs excuse like "He only grazed his head and Soaps body wasnt really cremated" in whatever season MW3 will be in at that time.

Meanwhile, Soap literally took a bullet to the head at point blank range right in front of us. Laswell then wrote a report which confirmed he was KIA and his cremated ashes were spread by the team.

To the credit of the game developers and writers. how else would soap have died? I was crushed by this scene but now (don't take this for acceptance because I truly wish there was some way to bring him back) I understand. he didn't die in vain, either. he saved captain prices life, he inflicted a possibly fatal wound on Makarov and he is responsible for the defusal of the bomb saving all of the London ops, team 141 and hundreds if not thousands of civilians. he died a hero. Try to imagine soap, ghost, price or Gaz retiring somewhere in the mountains, maybe laying back to a more chill tech job in the city, or living the rest of their lives in paradise. that wouldn't happen whether they live or not. they have dedicated and committed their lives to defending the world against people like Makarov. In the end either they retire and let others take their place or they fight until there is nothing left to fight, or no fight left in them. I'm half expecting team 141 to break off after their contract is up and create their own entity to remove any red tape and restrictions that the governments they are under have. imagine that
I still prefer the og Death for how dirty and depressing it was, how a little mistake can everyone down and Makarov going harmless, want you to kill them and goe Berserk in the final mission.

I personally don't see the purpose of killing Soap in this, for plot I could understand but this is supposed to be a remake. Gaz already lives through two games unlike how his character was in cod4.
Gaz has also changed race, so they're not afraid to keep or change shit. I personally don't see the point of havin him killed of but eh it is what is.
Ghost also is also still alive despite appearing in one original game and then dying in the following missions. I don't know just me I guess.
