When you witness a game franchise with stories so badass that Hollywood can't compete with, slowly get boring and "Realistic" to be gritty, you begin to appreciate the older CODs. COD doesn't need five minute long cutscenes that look like a Hollywood movie clip. COD doesn't need to be like Sicario. I miss seeing crazy shit happen!

It's always a weird feeling thinking about how long ago this was, i remember when my father took me to the game store in Australia to get this game without me even knowing. Best moments ever, hopefully by some miracle they can make Call of Duty games feel the same way as these ones did back in the day.
Any COD Game before the new Modern Warfare reboot is good. Hell, MW2023 was so bad, that I decided to give Infinite Warfare a try. Like, just the campaign only. And it was actually good. "Is that rain, sir?"

me and my older brother was hooked since CoD4 (the first MW) and have really fond memories of this campaign. we used to get up early on weekends just to play it, even tho i just watched him play😅. now we rarely see each other cause he moved out of town and also work schedules. man what a time to live, the new CoD series cant come close to what a perfection this game was

Does anyone notice how with the older cod games you'd get missions where you are literally fighting a massive war in a city or battlefield, but with modern cod is just all secret stealth missions. Don't get me wrong I love stealth missions but it was always awesome to have that epic action pact boots on the ground military action!

I love playing as a regular grunt in CoD. They're usually in the midst of an all-out war. Frost, Jackson, Ramirez, Dmitri, Miller, etc, instead of a spec ops team like Soap, Roach, Yuri, Mason (yes, Mason was a Spec Ops),etc. You just can't beat the heat and adrenaline of an all-out war than just sneaking around shooting heads with a silenced gun.

I mean, as a Ukrainian the story in this trilogy hits me so hard. How the war is actually made, how it's a just business to so many, how the ultra nationalists can actually climb all the way up to the power and how good men die fighting, getting pointless revenge, becoming just a shell of themselves. Yes, the game is shown from "good guys" perspective but they managed to grt so many interesting and really grey ideas into the story. The "No russian" mission got so much hate from people who never got the point. They chose to silent the truth as if it wouldn't happen in real world, just because they lashed their rage on "stupid videogames", completely ignoring the context.
We loved it because we knew it was a game, it wasn't trying to "look real". It was a game that ignited our imagination. We felt passionate talking to our friends about it, how the chopper went down and it exploded and stuff. Now with new good looking games all we can do is focus on why it still looks unrealistic, the little faults etc. Destructible environment + Ray Tracing + Oldschool Graphics would bring this feeling back.
People are gonna hate me for this but COD 2014-2017 was peak in my book. It was different. Zombies had a dark tone in WW2, a goofy tone in IW, and zombies could super jump in AW. Now it's just the same zombies and style slapped on a new title. They take Treyarch zombies and copy and paste on every title since 2020. Not saying that multiplayer has improved a lot since then but they stopped caring about moving forward and started recycling the past.
We expect to bring back the classic atmosphere of COD in a few years by portraying the Ukraine war. By that time, the russians already understood why they are always the villains. 😂

People are gonna hate me for this but COD 2014-2017 was peak in my book. It was different. Zombies had a dark tone in WW2, a goofy tone in IW, and zombies could super jump in AW. Now it's just the same zombies and style slapped on a new title. They take Treyarch zombies and copy and paste on every title since 2020. Not saying that multiplayer has improved a lot since then but they stopped caring about moving forward and started recycling the past.

We expect to bring back the classic atmosphere of COD in a few years by portraying the Ukraine war. By that time, the russians already understood why they are always the villains. 😂
