@@ct-1177 I mean it is possible to survive getting shot in the head. Gabby Gifford, a former US Representative from Arizona got shot in the head at a rally of hers and survived. Now she's a bit different in that she had to have major traumatic surgery and years & years of rehab + physical therapy to gain a sense of normalcy. Even then she's not back to what she was prior to the shooting.
IRL people have suvived gunshot wounds to the head, literally like having a bullet (sometimes multiple bullets from an assault rifle, not a handgun) lodged in their brain for more than 24 hours. Why can't they use that excuse to say they retrieved his body but found faint signs of life, they worked on him and he survived, but has memory issues or something and they gave his team fake ashes for "closure".
I feel like the bullet grazed his head but didn’t go through, or it went through and didn’t touch his brain, also I’ve heard stories of soldiers surviving headshots in real life and make full recoveries

I'm not about to go and act like mw3 wasn't a shitshow, but my (probably totally wrong) theory is the body double, but done by Laswell and Soap without the rest of 141 knowing. IRL, the CIA has some pretty crazy stuff for disguises, so its not too much of a stretch to say they could have found someone who could impersonate Soap. Laswell probably wouldn't have to do too much to convince him, and her goal could easily have been to push Price over the brink, to get him to stop holding back and get Shepherd out of the way. Soap was nearly killed by Shepherd and Graves, it was Shepherd and Price who convinced him to not kill Makarov when he had the chance, and in Las Almas his conversation with Ghost was about A: who to trust and B: that he wanted to be like Ghost, but probably wouldn't live that long.
What were the chances that soap would’ve died but price didn’t in the tunnel there’s no way Laswell could’ve predicted it hell why tf am I even using logic
Soap: Gets shot in the head, falls dead. Is dead on the floor while we walk around him in the area of the mission. Gets cremated and his ashes spread. Inkslasher: He's still alive Comparing him to Graves is ridiculous. Graves could have been remote controlling the tank. Soap couldn't be remote controlling himself Unless all multiplayer happens somewhere between the first interaction of 141 with Makarov and Soap getting shot, there is no consistency to the timeline. Basically a money grab by activision with no regard to story
Not the first time. There is Alex, from MW2019. Who died in the campaign. But is shown alive in a War zone cutscene, while al acknowledging that he detonated but survived.

It would make more sense to give us Soaps brother which is soaps whole reason to joining the SAS in this timeline. Would have been a perfect way to introduce Roach
Theyre probably doing a black ops style storyline. Think about it, we rescue price from a prison where they probably messed w his brain. He was there for both the graves fight and the tunnel. He also seemed kinda off during the campaign. Felt like a different price from the older games
Does anyone remember Price inhaling all that gas in the missile silo at the beginning of the campaign or did we all just forget ? For all we know he could be hallucinating.
At 4:38 if that mask is for breathing,he was shot at the temporal region of the head but the centres for respiration are present in the brain stem which means it is somewhere around occipital region of the head
The way they "revived" Alex is actually true that he was alive at the start because in MW2 he had a proestetic leg or in the MW2019 as an operator with that proestetic leg. In an episode of MW2 raid Alex said that Hadir (Farah's Brother) helped him
Soap: " Yeah, no. Sorry L.T. But I wasn't in that urn. " Ghost: " I saw you get shot? And..Who's ashes did I just- " Soap: " That was my twin brother, Shampoo. Apologies I was undercover. " 😭🤣
I was gonna imply that all of those missions that we played or had Soap with us was actually him but it wasn’t til that final mission whereas he was sent undercover and that was a body double the entire time with Price in the tunnels.

Seeing as he's not with anyone from 141 in the trailer, and we have a few unknowns, maybe Laswell is in on it? The team might still be under the assumption that he is dead, to better sell the bit to Makarov. What if Laswell, or someone who was in the morgue was ordered to take his body, use what ever the gas is, and reconstruct his brain. Or at the very least, make him functional again. He has a more determined look, more stronger, as if he doesn't have that care free spirit he use to have before getting shot. Just my theory.
(Skip to the last paragraph if you don't want to read the summary of the important details of the zombies storyline) In Treyarch's Zombies, specifically the Aether storyline, time travel has been an established possiblity, since Richtofen and Maxis built teleporters sometime during WW2 in the original story line. It took them the point of discovery of Element 115 (1913) to the the beginning of the WW2 to create a functioning teleporter, shortly after, a functioning time machine. That took 30 years. Although, this storyline has does not affect the current storyline, this does give us a good timeframe on when Time travel could've been discovered in this story. In the current story line, the dark aether was discovered sometime during WW2, which was then discovered by the Soviet Union, then buried around the same time, then with the establishment of Requiem, NATO was able to discover it in the 80's. Requiem had access to the Dark Aether for over 30 years. Following the previous timeline, some form of time travel could've possibly been discovered, or accidentally stumbled upon close to when Soap was deployed into Urzikstan. Since zombies is part of the Modern Warfare universe, it's possible that Soap could've accidentally or purposefully time traveled.
Don’t event tell me his alive they spread his ashes and you can see the bullet went through the other side of his head and I don’t even want to see “Well, I wasn’t in that Urn”

I really want to see how they bring him back lol. I can totally see Laswell lying to TF141 so Soap could handle some stuff while everyone thinks he's dead.
With Alex abd graves it makes sense cause with Alex you only see the building blow up, you don't actually see him die. And with graves you never actually see him in the tank so there was always a possibility of him remote controlling it. But with soap it makes no sense cause in the entire mission he's there and there's a whole cutscene of him dying plus the whole ashes cutscene. Unless Activision can come up with an actual reason he's alive, at this point you can't really believe any death you see on screen now cause apparently all of their main plot characters can just keep coming back to life

I feel like the bullet grazed his head but didn’t go through, or it went through and didn’t touch his brain, also I’ve heard stories of soldiers surviving headshots in real life and make full recoveries
that looks like Alejandro... got a soap's haircut to remember him
I agree with you
It does look a lot like Alejandro from how the hair flows towards the back of his head a little like Alejandro's does.
I agree, but I’m not sure that’s Alejandro. Alejandro has got forehead lines in most of the photos you see of him. Like you said though, I don’t think it’s Soap. Soap had blue eyes, and Soap in the picture has dark brown eyes unless I can’t tell colors.
Wow, bringing back a character that clearly had their ashes tossed into the ocean but turns out he just had his jaw shot out. What an exciting twist.
It might sound fancy but imagine if there is a mw4 and that in the opening cutscene, Soap just wakes up Price who was seemingly having a nightmare about the Mw3 last mission which happened only Price's mind, and when they are actually going on that mission Price just tries to do things differently to prevent Soap from dying
So you went with arguably the worst trope ever of "iT wAs AlL a DrEaM"
@@JJDeAth96 thats also why its written "sound fancy" at the beginning lol
That’s sounds terrible, but it’s probably better than whatever they are actually cooking up for mw4.
Soap: "Guess what guys? Turns out my brain WASN'T in my skull!"
4:32 I had a crazy idea about what if it wasn't Soap's ashes, I mean you only see the scene where they spread Soap's ashes on the cliff but you don't see the scene where they put him in the crematorium. Because who knows if it's someone else's ashes? just my thoughts
Kate Laswell: Somehow Soap McTavish returned
Ah yes. The same retcon an earlier character had:
Soap: “Well, I wasn’t in that tunnel.”
Price: “Well then who the f*ck did I watch die and then spread their ashes?!?!?”
Soap: “Uh… Makarov.”
Price: “How the f*ck does that work?”
Soap: “Idk. Ask the bloody writers.”
😂

I swear COD used to actually have a good story, even during seasonable content (Cold War)
Yeah, how did we go from MW2019 and Cold War season cutscenes to this crap lol
MW3 wasn't meant to be a game. It was meant to be dlc and you can tell. It was a rushed cash grab to make up for the fact they weren't going to get another year out of people playing mw2
@@michaeljones2162very simple. Gaming has caught up to the rest of the business world now. It's not about what you make but how much you can make. So we cash grabs like this.
For real! Other than the campaigns there is no story anymore
Metz: "I wasn't in that forest."
Hassan: "I wasn't in that skyscraper."
Hades: "I wasn't in Greece."
Perseus: "I never had cancer."
Victor Zakhaev: "I was never in Verdansk. / That bullet never hit my brain."
Inkslasher: He's still alive
Comparing him to Graves is ridiculous. Graves could have been remote controlling the tank. Soap couldn't be remote controlling himself
Unless all multiplayer happens somewhere between the first interaction of 141 with Makarov and Soap getting shot, there is no consistency to the timeline.
Basically a money grab by activision with no regard to story
Honestly I'm starting to doubt he was remote controlling it at all. He mightve just put his guys in the tank and watched from a secure location
Not the first time. There is Alex, from MW2019. Who died in the campaign. But is shown alive in a War zone cutscene, while al acknowledging that he detonated but survived.

At 4:38 if that mask is for breathing,he was shot at the temporal region of the head but the centres for respiration are present in the brain stem which means it is somewhere around occipital region of the head

"I was never in that room with makarov" or "that bullet never landed on my face properly"
L.T. You must know “Makarov Knows Yuri”
Ghost: " I saw you get shot? And..Who's ashes did I just- "
Soap: " That was my twin brother, Shampoo.

Only zombies
No it doesn't
(Skip to the last paragraph if you don't want to read the summary of the important details of the zombies storyline)
In Treyarch's Zombies, specifically the Aether storyline, time travel has been an established possiblity, since Richtofen and Maxis built teleporters sometime during WW2 in the original story line.
Ghost: "...But we scattered your ashes."
Soap: "Well... that wasn't my ashes."

I really want to see how they bring him back lol. I can totally see Laswell lying to TF141 so Soap could handle some stuff while everyone thinks he's dead.
The entire og mw2 cast comes back and joins the fray “well we weren’t in that game”
Unless Activision can come up with an actual reason he's alive, at this point you can't really believe any death you see on screen now cause apparently all of their main plot characters can just keep coming back to life
Somehow, Soap returned.
