a theory that I haven't heard yet is that Price is mentally losing it, after the gas exposure, we never got anything more than him passing out, when Soap "died" it was in Price perspective, when the outro cutscene happened, it was in Price perspective, Soap could've easily been someone else, possibly Roach or someone else, and Price could be seeing Soap instead
That could make sense but with that said that could mean he didn't shoot Shepherd either. He shot Laswell or some shit like that

Hot Take: The story should be self-contained in the campaign, and not spread between Spec-Ops mode/Raid mode/Warzone cutscenes/Trailers. Especially when it's unclear as to which trailers/cutscenes are canonical to the timeline.

you could also say the campaign happens at the end of the story, so seasons 1-6 happen and THEN the campaign happens and soap dies, kinda how they did with zombies, doing its storyline before the campaign

the bullet hit, went through his skull, and he got it fixed via surgery, and the reason tf141 threw that whole honouring ceremony is that they knew that they were being watched by a drone.
I'm not about to go and act like mw3 wasn't a shitshow, but my (probably totally wrong) theory is the body double, but done by Laswell and Soap without the rest of 141 knowing. IRL, the CIA has some pretty crazy stuff for disguises, so its not too much of a stretch to say they could have found someone who could impersonate Soap. Laswell probably wouldn't have to do too much to convince him, and her goal could easily have been to push Price over the brink, to get him to stop holding back and get Shepherd out of the way. Soap was nearly killed by Shepherd and Graves, it was Shepherd and Price who convinced him to not kill Makarov when he had the chance, and in Las Almas his conversation with Ghost was about A: who to trust and B: that he wanted to be like Ghost, but probably wouldn't live that long.
What were the chances that soap would’ve died but price didn’t in the tunnel there’s no way Laswell could’ve predicted it hell why tf am I even using logic

Theory: that isn’t actually Soap. If you watch the season 4 black cell video it shows the new black cell operator and its finishing move. For the finishing move the operator can take the on the form of enemies that he has killed, a bit like mystique from x-men. So I think that is actually the black cell operator
It seems to be an Operation Deadbolt themed season which means all of this happened before the MWIII campaign.

The gas in the trailer is green, and the aether gas in zombies is purple. The nerve agent in the og mw3 was green and detonated in paris as an attack and is a map coming this season. I think this is a homage to that rather than a zombies thing

@@ct-1177 I mean it is possible to survive getting shot in the head. Gabby Gifford, a former US Representative from Arizona got shot in the head at a rally of hers and survived. Now she's a bit different in that she had to have major traumatic surgery and years & years of rehab + physical therapy to gain a sense of normalcy. Even then she's not back to what she was prior to the shooting.

Ok let me cook if Soap actually survived:
Soap was shot but the bullet was lodged in his head so he was still alive but very weak, Soap goes through an experimental procedure ran by the Atlas Corporation (this time led by someone not Jonathan Irons) but to not emotionally disrupt 141 especially since they’ve gone quiet since Shepard’s death Laswell lies and says he died and they end up burning the body of one of the SAS members in the tunnel, Soap is pretty much in a coma for the first 2-3 seasons of Warzone, awakens for the 4th season, and in the 5th and 6th season is recovering from the shot and training in an Atlas facility (where they can also test the exosuits) and in MW4 Soap will return to save 141 shocking the members of 141 along with Makarov and possibly setting up a reboot AW game series

With Alex abd graves it makes sense cause with Alex you only see the building blow up, you don't actually see him die. And with graves you never actually see him in the tank so there was always a possibility of him remote controlling it. But with soap it makes no sense cause in the entire mission he's there and there's a whole cutscene of him dying plus the whole ashes cutscene. Unless Activision can come up with an actual reason he's alive, at this point you can't really believe any death you see on screen now cause apparently all of their main plot characters can just keep coming back to life
The way they "revived" Alex is actually true that he was alive at the start because in MW2 he had a proestetic leg or in the MW2019 as an operator with that proestetic leg. In an episode of MW2 raid Alex said that Hadir (Farah's Brother) helped him
