I just did 12 000 kms in Australia (got home tonight), across 4 states, through snow, deep sand, corrugated gravel roads, rock, sealed roads, wet roads and bull dust. I can tell you the MAXXIS AT8111 RAZR AT handles it perfectly. Not one bit of slip or lost traction. I’ve owned BFG, Bridgestone, Cooper, Kumho and these Maxxis’ are without a doubt the best trye I have ever used. The tyres took very little weights to balance them and felt secure on all roads. I won’t change to another tyre manufacturer ever again.

17 Tacoma I’m running 33x11.5 falken wildpeak at3 about 10k miles so far on them so far and I really like them.. when buying tires I’m looking at thread wear warranty looks and of course the weight tire can carry i feel like those are pretty important things.. I did go with 10 ply tire tho just because I do tow sometimes.. I felt like more is better then not enough.

I'm hoping that tire companies start making dedicated snow tires and 3 peak rated tires in taller sizes. In Quebec, for example, it's law that you run winter rated tires in the winter. AT will not cut it. And in many Canadian provinces, you can not run studded tires unless you are live in the most northern parts, or are up in the Territories. Trying to find the tallest dedicated snow tire, M+S tire, or 3 peak tire is a frustrating exercise because most shops don't seem to know nearly as much about taller options as they do for "stock" options, and almost always seem to suggest exclusively from their preferred lines rather than their full selections. On-line searches are very tricky too, because even if you can get some options by filling out a minimum of filters (most want several inputs on sizing to even start showing options), almost none offer Snow/M+S/3PSFR as selectable options. What I mean by a minimum of filters is it is quite common to buy a dedicated set of snow tires on steel rims, so if you are mostly concerned about your OA diameter and will by whatever steel rim size you need to get it, you can't get listings on many sites and have to start fishing by cycling through tire heights by first selecting a rim size. I suspect that's more to do with the tire companies that list those attibutes as "features" in the description, rather than as a specification, so setting up a web page would require a dealer employee to actually look at almost every tire, as some only offer the rating in certain sizes, and not others of the same brand and model of tire. Yes, if you have a big tire rig, you can put smaller tires on for the winter, but that can play hell with more than just the speedometer reading, particularly on newer vehicles with all the electronic management on board, plus changes in fuel economy if you have re-geared for tall tires, but have to run several sizes shorter in the winter. To be fair, TrailBuilt Off Road's tire selector is certainly one of the better ones, and is more forgiving than most for empty search fields, but it still comes down to a fishing expedition when it comes to winter ratings. Pretty sure they even mentioned the challenges in trying to set up the winter ratings as a searchable option in another video actually...so again, I can't really fault them or other dealers, but it does make it difficult to find out what your options are, at least while trying to search on your own.

Check out the Cooper AT3 4S. It's got the snowflake, and might come in tall enough a size for ya. And the Interco Trxxus MT is a more mild MT, but has great syping, good road mnners for such a tire, and was a BEAST in the snow. Theyre worth a good look.

Just interesting , Last week I looked at my tires on my 1999 Ranger and realized that I can't remember buying tires for the truck. I purchased the truck new and It has over 200,000 miles on them. They are starting it get some cracks in them and the tread is getting a bit flat. I have never had to even add air to them that I remember. I think I'm going to look close at firestone tires as they seem to last a long time.

I've always had cars before moving to Washington state and never had All Terrain tires before. i deliver pizzas part time, most of my 'off-road" driving is done while working and I need to be capable of driving in bad weather. i went with the Yokohama's because they were the most conservative, highway tread style with 4 straight channels but still had open tread blocks and the "3 peak mountain snowflake."

I really love my Amp terrain Attack AT A's. I think they're more of a hybrid tire/Rugged terrain tire. I've got 30k+ miles on mine and have I'd say at least 20k miles left out of them. They do great in the rain, dry, mud, and snow. They are 3pms rated as well, and they're affordable. I'll most likely get another set when I'm in need of replacement. The only other affordable tire I've really been eyeballing is the Kenda Klever RT. I'd like a comparison between those and the Amp's.

Best tires to me is few tires. Even though I haven’t try one of them. And one I do. And one I will go for when my tires are almost finished wearing them out.
The ones I have for my 2015 lifted Scion xB with a 215/70/16:
    1: toyo open country at3
2: excellent tires from other lifted xB owner have good experience is Yokohama geolander at2
And 3: my next set and increase an insane tire size is 245/75/16 hankook - dynapro at2 extreme.
Compare between toyo open country at3 vs. hankook dynapro at2 extreme, is that dynapro at2 extreme has a bit more aggressive shoulder bites, got a nice white letters that I always want one.
And sure the toyo open country at3 tread blocks are more aggressive than dynapro at2 extreme, but still got a nice aggressive a bit more than the dynapro at2.
For P-metric on 245/75/16 with white lettering, it has an amazing 70k miles on it. For the same if not $10-$30 bucks around more. That’s a better deal than what I have.
It’s a massive insane tires size, but it can be done. And it has and I was sold for that. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
That’s my next set and goal for my 2015 lifted Scion xB with a 2.5” lift. But I will lift the front by 2” more. So 4.5” lift for the front, and 2.5” rear to level it as well. 😎😎😎
