Yuen Wang that was really only the view point of George Lucas who doesn’t have any creative input on Star Wars anymore it be like using bob kane input for modern day Batman
@@yuenwang4894 I like the interpretation that bringing balance, means constraining Dark Side users, namely the Sith. We have to remember the Force is life itself, literally every living thing is connected to the Force and becomes one with it upon death. The Force needs life to exist. However those who exclusively use the Dark Side aka the Sith, actively try to use it dominate and destroy everyone and everything around them. Look at all the Sith throughout both Canon and Legends. We've had Sith spread war and destruction throughout the galaxy, several becoming something less then human with some having the power to completely wipe entire worlds of life with a wave of their hands. Such Dark Side users actively disrupt the natural order of things, with many basically wishing to become gods that rule over the universe. So it would make sense that the Force would create a Chosen One to "balance" things out by eliminating Dark Side users, namely the Sith. The reason why I say the Sith are the Forces primary target is because their philosophy actively propagates power crazed maniacs who can single handily disrupt the natural order. Just look at what Palpatine was able to do on his own, his machinations brought about the death of *billions* . The Sith are a natural enemy of life because they seek to dominate it and if failing that, destroy it. Meanwhile you have Dark Side groups like the Nightsisters who were okay with confining themselves to their home world and were willing to form attachments and perform selfless actions. Just look at Mother Talzin, she was nearly Palpatines equal when it came to mastery of the Dark Side and yet she showed a clear love for her son Maul and even sacrificed herself to save him. A true Sith, one following their teachings to the letter, would never do such a thing. So that is why "bringing balance" entails destroying the Sith because even one Sith is enough to disrupt the balance of life. At least that's how I see it anyway.
@@rhymenoceros3303 But the Jedi disrupt the balance as well. While the Sith become so focused on themselves that the value of others means nothing, the Jedi are selfless to the point that life holds no meaning for them. The jedi say things like love and attachment make you weak when those are the things that make us human. The Jedi and Sith are two sides of them same coin.

Great video Eck. Please make more content on the wierd supernatural aspects in the unknown regions there's so much out there that is frightening and not much coverge on it.
Shadows of Mindor is such an odd book. It was published in December 2008 (somewhat late in the pre-Disney era) and it wasn’t part of any series, which wasn’t very common in the Lucas era. It was a somewhat random return to the near post ROTJ era, at a time when the timeline was getting pushed further and further out. Plus not many people talk about it (because it quite frankly wasn’t great) and a lot of what is introduced/discussed ended up being largely irrelevant if not boring.
I have always wonder why most factions of the unkown region's use the "darkside" of the force. And i guess it is becuase most of the factions move towards the known regions of the galaxy because of resources and etc. Which leaves dark factions like the rand in the unknown regions becuase they were not interested in resources (and that type of stuff) hey where more interested in harnessing the power of time, space, immortality and thoes types of things. Who knows.
@@Monarch_Prime The Eastern side of the known galaxy is " yang " balance with Hutt's Space being the " dot/ yin " of greed, anger, murder, and slavery of suffering.( Darkside) So the Western side of the unknown region of the galaxy is the " Darkside/ yin " balance. I'd love a video on the Unknown Regions. One of my favorite things about Star Wars is the mystery of what's outside the galaxy and what kind of weird things could be out there in deep space.
The known regions should just mass mobilize and explore the unknown regions, it’s frightening to not know what’s literally around the corner, separated by something that isn’t impossible to pass. A major enemy could be lurking, just like the Yuuzhan Vong.
Top Hat Mercenary Confederation: “We gonna Explode Unknown Regions, and nobody’s Gonna Stop us. We have a Night Hunter with us, and he will guide us into the Unknown Regions.”
In Starwars when people die they become a part of the force right? So when new people are born is the basically force recycling it’s self or is it possible that the more people who were to die would empower the force in a sense r is it more vice versa?
Perhaps peaceful deaths? Like yodas, not horrific terrifying deaths like when starkiller base deatroyed like 5 planets which send ripples through the force?
I'd really like to see a video about Vitiate/Valkorian. That entire era is full of questions from me. I read some of the Wookiepedia page on it, but I think that you may be able to explain it better. Keep up the awesome work.

Hi Eck So on your last video I left a comment asking if there was a ever a pure blood Sith becoming a Jedi and after a little more research I found that during the Jedi knight story in SWTOR (the game I was talking about for inspiration) actually has a selection of missions based around a pure blood named Praven who did become a Jedi after being beaten by the player’s Jedi character. But whilst I have the answer, I have not played the Jedi knight story yet, and would still be hoping if you could maybe cover him in a video and maybe other surprising Jedi/Sith such as the Chis sith and Jedi shown in the game as well. Always love your content, keep it up❤️
Would anyone be able to tell me where the game/movie/video around 2:02 comes from? The two force users in black and white kinda look like Starkiller from The Force Unleashed but it's been a while since I played that and don't remember if it's from there tho I suspect it's from something else.
#AskEck What's the range of an Interdiction field? Is it measured in km, light seconds, or AU? What's stopping someone from running away at sunlight speeds until jumping to hyperspace becomes possible?
A " light second " is more or less the average distance between the Earth and the Moon. 1.28sec at c. and 384,402km. In most of the early EU: Legends books it takes a ship between 3 to 5 minutes to get out of a planets gravity well. In the RPG books the average travel time between a planet & it's moon is 30 minutes. More or less it is about the writer building tension in the encounter you are reading.
@@krispalermo8133 well, the Battle of Yavin took place across 2-3 light seconds, given the size of Yavin Prime and sensible orbital radii for such a system, and the Rebel fighters only needed a few minutes to cross that distance, so it's not too out there.
@@silentdrew7636 Years ago I went to two different game shops to RPG. First one in my early 20's and my second one I around 30. We try using the base stats of ship travel speed from WEG with the game play of WotC 3.5e ... while talking in all actions as if it was a ST:TNG & DS9. End effect it Really slow down game, cause a bunch of math paper work. After note taking or actions and dice rolls. We then read off all dialog as Star Trek characters on tv would do. 1.) All action movies are " time compressed " for tension and some scenes are speed up such as running across a battle field yet they then slow the film down where the bullets hit in slow motion. 2.) Yavin is more like Jupiter with its' moons than it is compare to Earth and its moon. So then is a whole different math progression you have to work through. 3.) George Lucas was making an Action Fantasy movie, " thank god he did...! " And to make sure it didn't come off as " nerdy," he left out all math science talk. 4.) Even in the first few seasons of ST:TNG, the writers made math mistakes. Such as " Wounded " where Chief O'brien former captain is attacking Cardassians ships. The run down in one encounter, a Federation attack and destroyed a Cardassian warship with phaser fire at basic the range of 1lt.sec. Sorry at short range a phaser looks like a " laser " single beam of light. but over long range. All a phaser is a burst of sub atomic particles fire off like a high speed bullet within a carrier straw field. Cause the funny thing is, Space is not " Empty " and even your long range weapons need a " navigation defector beam " to clear the bullets flight path, or it " sub atomic particle burst " will be deflected on space dust/ rocks. TNG phaser come off more like chain feed machine guns. Point being, phasers travel just below the c. barrier and a single or multiple phaser bursts will still take a full second to travel one light second. By that time the other ship has already moves dozens or hundreds of km north or south out of the leading aiming zone by drift alone. Base speed just to get into space is 12km/ second. Even if you can tap weapon fire button in 1/ 12 th sec. The ship still moved a 1,000 meters off coarse. 5.) Over the years my old friends and I fill dozens of note books and looking up aiming times and the chances of a hit for air craft that has been built over the pass 60 years. The Battle of Yavin, is a mess of things that can go wrong. The first Death Star was listed as being 120km across. Circumference of 240km. R2-D2, could fly a full circle around it within 20 seconds or less. Kinetic impact from a 6lb/ 3kg sledge hammer will be unbelievable. Sorry for the ramble.... As one or a few people have stated, what was an ideal in the 1940's became science fictions in the 1960's. And 60 years later in 2020's we got, " We did find gravimetic waves particles ! Ok now how do we create them ourselves ?"
The Star Wars galaxy literally is a yin yang. The light side where history and civilization happened, and who knows what happened stays happened shut up it's happened on the other.
My theory was the galaxy is split in two opposing forces. The light east side representing a more stable place where most of civilization was able to thrive, and a chaotic dark west side where only a few civilians found a way to survive.
Where is the background video in this video from? The asset list only seems to cover the music, and I'm curious what that whole story is about and if there's more to watch.
I'm now imagining that instead of the sequel we got, we got something inspired by this. Perhaps EPIV would start with the known galaxy at relative peace, with a confident, growing Jedi Order led by Luke... we could even have them fighting the First Order, which would seem to be a big threat at the beginning, and Finn could still defect, but then a discovery is made of the cult in the unknown regions, and it's eventually revealed they had a hand in the rise of the Empire, as well as the rise of the First Order. Luke, Han, Leia (Chancellor Leia?), Lando, Chewie, or any combination of them, could be humbled in a battle against the cult where they barely escape, and maybe one of them has to sacrifice themselves for the others. With some horror type elements, it would be easy to have cameos of Vader, Palpatine, and others - perhaps only as hallucinations or conjurings...
I fear when humans reach deep space and I fear more what we eventually find. There will be places out there in our own universe that will totally puzzle us. What people need to realise it just how big our universe is.
Please do the 5 strangiest things! Sounds so Hunter x Hunter about the dark continent! Great video btw, i also love the rpg source books, they are so interesting! But i wonder if it's canon by disney.
I learn about this group from said RPG book. They look like a fun "race" to play. Also, sounded like the author wanted to make their threat seem bigger than the movies, like if the Disney movies tried making Snook the mastermind of Palpatine all this time, and Palpatine was just a puppet of his.

I started watching Ecks breakdown vids and he mentioned so many related characters and places from various sources and so, I've since binge watched Clone Wars and Rebels and I'm growing a whole new interest in the E.U. that I'm moving on to books and comics next with a big bucket list to get through, so thanks Eck and keep it up!!!!

Do some more about the unknown regions! And also because everyone does just brush over of it so I would like to see more!
i want to know the lore behind these twins you keep showing footage of. They look so cool!
They come from an online game called Star Wars: the Old Republic the Eternal Empire. Some people have put footage of their gameplay online.
They're from the Old Republic MMO. Regardless of how anyone feels about the game itself, the cinematics are absolutely god tier. Personally, I really like the content related to the twins. They're expansions related to the Eternal Empire of the planet Zakuul.
Who knows.
The unknown regions are dangerous places. Strong in the force.
The dark side rules most of it XD
@@Monarch_Prime
The Eastern side of the known galaxy is " yang " balance with Hutt's Space being the
" dot/ yin " of greed, anger, murder, and slavery of suffering.( Darkside)
So the Western side of the unknown region of the galaxy is the " Darkside/ yin " balance.
Over my pass 30 years of drawing D&D maps, I found myself subconscious drawing in
spiritual arch-types themes into the picture.
Besides the whole George Lucas " Balance to the Force " is more than a bit childish view.
The Old EU was good before Lucas did " Phantom Menace " Anakin is the Chosen One crap.
The " OT " was the classic hero journey about father & son.
The question to how or why the Emperor Palpatine was defeated, please read Dark Horse comic series that is posted on YT. " Crimson Empire."
@@krispalermo8133 interesting...
I'd love a video on the Unknown Regions. One of my favorite things about Star Wars is the mystery of what's outside the galaxy and what kind of weird things could be out there in deep space.
Check out legends
Sounds like a few Chaos Cults have managed to infiltrate Star Wars
Keep up the good work eckhart always making great content 💪
Unknown region lore videos are my favorite
Star Wars is so big and I feel like they could have SUCH good horror/fantasy/sci-fi movies
This was really awesome! I never read Shadow's of Mindoir but had always wanted to, now I have to! This group sounds awesome!!!
That thumbnail got me WANTING to visit the unknown regions
The known regions should just mass mobilize and explore the unknown regions, it’s frightening to not know what’s literally around the corner, separated by something that isn’t impossible to pass. A major enemy could be lurking, just like the Yuuzhan Vong.
I would love for you to cover 5 of the strangest things in the Unknown Region.
Top Hat Mercenary Confederation: “We gonna Explode Unknown Regions, and nobody’s Gonna Stop us. We have a Night Hunter with us, and he will guide us into the Unknown Regions.”
Ekharts vids would be perfect as a podcast, I’d highly suggest he does make some podcasts
I'd totally love a top 5 video for strangest things in the Unknown Regions.
Him: Don't visit the unknown regions
Redditors: We don't have such weaknesses
Would love to see the Sorcerers Of Rahnd further explored.
The more I know about Star Wars, the more I want to live in the Star Wars universe and explore it
In Starwars when people die they become a part of the force right? So when new people are born is the basically force recycling it’s self or is it possible that the more people who were to die would empower the force in a sense r is it more vice versa?
Time to preserve all life to make the Jedi less powerful.
Since large numbers of deaths have left wounds in the Force it probably does not empower the Force as a whole.
Would definitely love to see some more strange topics from the unknown regions!
If I remember correctly, that passage about Sorcerers of Rhand in Shadows of Mindor was all from Blackhole's point of view ;)
I’d definitely love to see a 5 strangest things in the unknown regions video
I haven't drove too much the unknown regions in Legends I have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to Legend continuity but from very little that I gathered it seems very interesting and I'm looking forward to learn more about it
Hi Eck
So on your last video I left a comment asking if there was a ever a pure blood Sith becoming a Jedi and after a little more research I found that during the Jedi knight story in SWTOR (the game I was talking about for inspiration) actually has a selection of missions based around a pure blood named Praven who did become a Jedi after being beaten by the player’s Jedi character.
But whilst I have the answer, I have not played the Jedi knight story yet, and would still be hoping if you could maybe cover him in a video and maybe other surprising Jedi/Sith such as the Chis sith and Jedi shown in the game as well.
Always love your content, keep it up❤️

Yes. Please make a video on the strangest things in the unknown region.
I would love to hear more about the Unknown Region!
Usually when someone tells me don't do something I definitely still do it
Would anyone be able to tell me where the game/movie/video around 2:02 comes from?
1.) All action movies are " time compressed " for tension and some scenes are speed up
such as running across a battle field yet they then slow the film down where the bullets hit in slow motion.
2.) Yavin is more like Jupiter with its' moons than it is compare to Earth and its moon.
So then is a whole different math progression you have to work through.
3.) George Lucas was making an Action Fantasy movie, " thank god he did...! "
And to make sure it didn't come off as " nerdy," he left out all math science talk.
And 60 years later in 2020's we got,
" We did find gravimetic waves particles ! Ok now how do we create them ourselves ?"
Would love more videos on the Dark things waiting in the unknown regions.
The Star Wars galaxy literally is a yin yang. The light side where history and civilization happened, and who knows what happened stays happened shut up it's happened on the other.
Did you had a stroke
Bruh what
You had me first then u lost me at the end when u started to make no sense
My theory was the galaxy is split in two opposing forces. The light east side representing a more stable place where most of civilization was able to thrive, and a chaotic dark west side where only a few civilians found a way to survive.
@@friscofiacso2375 oh ok
The Unknown Regions are quite fascinating to learn about
I dropped my phone in a cup of water while watching your videos. lmfao
This was very informative, thank you! I would love to hear more about the Unknown Regions, I wonder Emperor Palpatine or Vader ever traveled there.

Just found out about this channel.the dog at the end does it for me ngl.
I’d be very down for more videos like this
One Rhand would have made for so much more of a compelling villain than Palpatine again
By far my favorite obscure group from Star Wars
Trying to summon apocalyptic gods?
BROTHERS!!!! WE MUST PURGE THE GALAXY OF THIS HERESY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The unknown regions are the part of Star Wars that has the most Story to be told, at least to me
the sequel trilogy is just one story about the unknown regions there could be other stories to be told as well.
From what movie/Series is the video with the two young padawans or whatever they are?
So, basically they put Accelerationists to shame. Got it.
How awesome would it be to see all the horror SW stuff show up in places like The Mandalorian or even movies.
I totally wanna see more things from the unknown region
This has to be legends
I fear when humans reach deep space and I fear more what we eventually find. There will be places out there in our own universe that will totally puzzle us. What people need to realise it just how big our universe is.

Just stumbled upon this video ... what are the characters in this video? Like the animation about the (I assume brothers) can someone tell?
Awesome video.
