    All the questions I had about this lure you covered perfectly . This is my go to channel for tips and tricks and info . Much appreciated, I am a big bass chaser that just got in the salt game. You are definitely shortening my learning curve and haven't been skunked yet . Yesterday had my best day 28 speckled trout and kept 5 to eat from 18.5"-22"
    Ps..... try bio bait

    I'm sure you just misspoke, but you mentioned that the MirrOlure MirrOdine XXL is a 32MR, but it's actually a 37MR. In the past, MirrOlure did make a 32MR lure that was called the Rock N' Rattler. It looked similar to the MirrOdines but the line attachment was far back on top of the head of the bait and it was a much faster sinking lure. Both terrific lures. Good demonstration. The other lure that you're showing with the spots is a TT MirrOlure. They are very similar in action to the 52MR but the 52 has no spots. Both are exellent.

    Fantastic helpful video. As far as hook modifications. Some have told me the modify the hooks by cutting one hook off each treble hook or even removing the front or center hook. However I’ve been told it messes up the swim action of the lure. True or false? Your input would be much appreciated. Again very helpful video ty so much . Tight lines. 😊

    I really liked this video. New subscriber for sure. I’m just discouraged by the fact that I did a nearly identical video years and years ago when I was in high school (im 25!now). I was young, sure, but went into like eettily similar detail. Not saying you ever saw it bc I took it down after getting straight up told I didn’t know what the fuck I was saying and that I was a “know- it-all” that didn’t try because I recorded it indoors with low production value. People like to hear this stuff, as you’ve proven with the views and positive reactions. All I’m saying is, keep up the good work, and all the best. I’ll be tuning in. In fact, I quit pursuing UA-cam fishing stuff altogether bc of mocking and being dismissed I’m allowed to express an opinion about lures. Fuck all those dudes in the Tkaa that just incessantly insulted me on everything I posted EVER. instead of helping out a new video creator, they just savaged snd enjoyed the shit out of it. I was on my first or second attempt and never got a chance., I like the long form upload like this . The detail is nice a

    Awesome video man I'm in SWFL and live on a canal. So periodically I go out and toss a lure. I mainly use the catch2000 but I've caught everything from big JACK, juvenile a Tarpon and decent size Snook. Your right about letting it sit for bout 5 seconds and twitch. And twitching down to only helps set that hook even better thx man. From Punta Gorda

    Ive used these in the past and no success. I'm gonna try again tho cause of your videos.
    You have any preference on which model to use on the sound vs ocean. And what colors do you use for what color water pattern.

    • @josephjones9783
      @josephjones9783 4 роки тому

      tier drop idk if you care anymore, but color all depends on light conditions and confidence. In lower light conditions throw a darker color that creates a stronger silhouette in the water and in sunshine throw a lighter color. As you start to have success you start to pick favorite colors and that’s where confidence comes in.

    I have had some success catching fish on the MirrOlures. The main thing that I have against them is that you simply can't cover a lot of ground with them, especially with such a slow retrieve. Lately it seems like the trout have been really scarce in the Norfolk and VA beach waters. I had a spot at the mouth of a tidal creek where I was reliably getting near-keeper size, but the bite is now totally off. Any tips in finding the trout during the winter season beyond looking for structure (in a general sense)? Maybe there are certain types of structure they prefer at this time of the year?

    • @1fish2fish10
      @1fish2fish10  5 років тому

      Trout move as the weather changes. Sometimes it's shallow to a mud flat and sometimes it's deeper to deep structure. You have to bounce around to find them. They do get more scarce but big ones are here for sure.

  • @cliffnagle7182
    @cliffnagle7182 5 років тому +1

    Good info. I need to get better with hard plastics like the MirroLure. It’s not a “confidence bait” for me right now. I always revert to soft plastics. Maybe I’ll just leave the soft plastics home and put all of your tips to practice.

    • @1fish2fish10
      @1fish2fish10  5 років тому

      It's always nice to have them in there if the scenario presents itself. Whatever makes you confident! But as it gets colder and depending on where you fish - then absolutely try them out! If you do try it- stick with it and catch some fish on it to get confident in it!

    Hey Jeff? Don't apologize for buying your wife flowers. It's a good man who takes good care of his woman. Nothing to be apologizing for there at all, the world needs more good men.
    Now that is out of the way ... Do you guys ever fish the North Landing River and Currituck Sound areas? I'd really like some information on those places and what fish might be had there as I live very close and getting no younger, closer is better for more fishing opportunities.

    • @1fish2fish10
      @1fish2fish10  5 років тому

      Hey! Thanks for that comment!! For the areas you mentioned it's funny because yesterday I was driving over the North Landing River and my brother in law asked me if I ever fished there. I fished it 1 or 2 times last year and caught some largemouth bass. Not really a productive area in my mind. It's kinda brackish water and doesn't really produce a lot of my target species!

    • @acts9531
      @acts9531 5 років тому

      @@1fish2fish10-- Ah, OK, then I probably know more about those particular waters than you do. I catch stripers, white perch and puppy drum there, but never a lot and never consistently. I don't know if the fish I catch are coming up from Pamlico or down through the locks. If you want saltwater species like stripers you have to get out where the river is really wide, like past Munden Point. Corey's Ditch will have striper in it soon if they're not there already. I'm not really a bass fisherman, where I'm from originally they're held in the same disdain as carp. They're fun to catch but I've got a buddy that has a cabin with a dandy bass pond up in Nelson County if I want serious bass fishing ...
      Mostly I fish on the Elizabeth River, launching my boat at the Chesapeake City Park ramp behind the locks on the Albemarle Canal/Elizabeth River. Fishing for saltwater species is pretty good on the Elizabeth. I get red drum, specks, and stripers and though I sometimes come home without a fish I almost never come off the river without having had some sort of action.
      It's just that I live a couple miles from the Blackwater Trading Post, which has a ramp, and the new Virginia Beach city park ramp at Pungo Ferry. Which is a really nice ramp but then it's brand new. For a day of boating, to test out my outboard if I've done some work on it or get in a little "practice fishing" without a lot of expectations I launch there and head down where the water gets bigger.

    • @obxkoastie8170
      @obxkoastie8170 5 років тому

      Jeff You are right. As far as I know the TT (rattle and non-rattle) all have spots on the sides where the 52M and MR do not. There have probably been more trout caught on the 52MR 808 than any other single lure out there. I caught two citation trout in Nags Head on that lure. The smaller fish will bite on the Gulp and Zman...the bigger fish want the 52MR. And if you really want to catch trout when nothing else works, see if you can find a 52M or MR with a red head and a yellow (not chartreuse!) tail. Deadly if you can find them because Mirrolure doesn't make them anymore. If you do find them, buy all that they have! Fish 'em up!
