Have you ever used the MirrOlure MirrOdine Suspending Twitchbait lure?
Why should you make this lure a part of your everyday fishing arsenal?
The MirrOlure MirrOdine is an extremely useful subsurface lure that mimics the profile and behavior of most baitfish in the water while also providing a different presentation as opposed to topwater lures and soft plastic lures!

Love these lures, but the ball bearings rust. I wish I knew how to prevent that. Good video.
Great explanation of this lure. I love seeing the action of the lure in the pool so I get a better understanding of how to fish it. 🎣
Glad you enjoyed it!
One of the best reviews I've seen since joining Salt Strong. Thanks for the info.
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful!
That was an awesome video, very informative!
Saltwater Videos always instructive..Thanks 🙏
I just got a few different colors of these and can't wait to use them.
If you live near largo Florida they have there storage/headquarters there I was taken on a tour there and you can have a custom mirrodine made.
Clearwater!
Excellent video.
Tip from the Tug Addict I reverse my front in-line hook, and it does not decrease my hook up ratio, but it does decrease the amount of grass on the lure.
Thanks for sharing!
love the mini's black and gold is the trout slayer right now i recommend changeing out the treble's for the vmc inline's it's better for the fish and remember twitch twitch pause
My go to in cold weather here in North FL
The areas I trout fish in eastern NC, is mostly bridge fishing and using a mirrolure is pretty dang hard. When I do use em, it's usually the mr52s.
I’ve caught quite a few nice sea trout on the 17 with spots on the side!
Excellent video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Greetings from Brazil!
Thank you so much for the video with valuable information!
Unfortunately is almost impossible to find this Mirrolure model in my country.
We are sorry to hear that, thanks for watching! We hope to add on international shipping in early 2023!
I’ve caught my largest lady fish which had to be well over 24in on that same Mirrodine . I also caught my smallest snook on the chartreuse colored mirrodine . The snook almost fit in my hand lol .
Caught prob some 2 ft lady fish this weekend with them fantastic lures.
Ever try the Rapala X-rap?
Was. told to remove the front hook and replace the rear with a number 2 treble hook
Last year around this time I was catching more flounder on soft dine xl than my friends standing right next to me using gulp and one of them was using tandem rigs
Thanks for sharing!
Great search bait that catches reds and trout on the regular.

Thanks for the video. I fish these baits often and they are winners but have given up on the 1/0 single replacement hooks because the front hook constantly fowls on the lure's head or the leader. Do you experience this issue? If so have you tried using a smaller size single on the front and what was the outcome? Curious if using a smaller front hook would cause the lure to sink tail first and adversely affect the action or hookups. Thoughts?

You know, I’ve used these for years but they only work when sight fishing or if the bite is hot. Not a great search and find lure like a plug, spoon, or jig.
My favorite are the full bright green ones, or the black and white one from the beginning.
I’ve caught every type of fish on this lure
Never seen someone swap out trebles with single hooks. Great action on bait. Need to check those out grab a few. Do the make silent version?
it's a saltwater thing, single hooks are stronger, hold better, and aren't as dangerous to handle as a bunch of huge trebles flopping around in the mouth of a probably already toothy fish.
@@BeetleBuns can confirm, got hooked in the palm by a treble on a twitch bait. Fkin pain man, switched to singe hooks and never looked back
I don’t think a silent one is manufactured as such, the R in MR17/27/37 stands for rattling, but the rattles are tiny plastic beads. So the rattle is faint. Also, those light plastic beads get stuck in corners and crevices inside the body cavity and the lures can “go silent”. I can sometimes shake or tap the back of the lure and free them up, but have some MR27 where the beads are stuck and can’t or won’t be dislodged, effectively rendering them silent. But I will still fish them as silent, since the twitch and wobble still sends out vibrations along with the flash of the twitch retrieve.
Whats the difference between the suspending vs the sinking mirrodine if they both sink?

I realize this is an old video but hope you still get the comments. My rattles in the Mirrodine seldom work more than one trip. Are they necessary? I don't seem to notice much if any difference in catch rate but I wonder why the company would use them if they are going to quit so soon.

My hooks rusted out on these 17mr . What sz replacements do I need before I head to the tackle shop. I want to put the same exact size
Should be #4 Treble Hooks. But just take the old ones with you and the shop should be able to get you the right ones.
Could you use it at the beach or what lures would you use at the beach

My green/ white catches everything but the treble hooks have to be cut out of my net, can’t use one.
Thanks for watching!
Mirrolure makes some of the toughest lures on the market. They'll survive the sharpest teeth and keep on catchin' fish! 👍
Thanks for the tip!
What treble hook size replacement is recommended.
Depends on the lure. We have some other videos at www.saltstrong.com/fishing-tips/....just go there and use the search
What do you spray your lures with?
You can spray them with Dr. Juice that can be found here: fishstrong.com/products/dr-juice-saltwater-slam-scents?_pos=1&_sid=02fc47b3d&_ss=r&variant=39318724247726
Why do they call it a suspending twitchbait? It seems to be more of a sink action.
When I was a young man my dad made lures from round cloth pens he would have a red head and a white body no plastic lures were around then no Fancy jig heads no weedless and caught lots of speckle trout to much fishing tackle know days
So cool! Thanks for sharing!
Can these be used for bass ?
@Greg Dalton, yes, I know folks who do
17MR and 18MR for deeper water.......don't see them going away anytime soon up here in Va!
27MR weighs more and throws further and bigger bait is best.
Thanks for sharing!
Mirrolure is the largest of low quality lure makers
Hey, curious about alternatives. TIA!
@@chrisnigul Yo-Zuri is one, they're expensive but worth it.
Why do you call them low quality? I catch a lot of fish with mirror lures. I wouldn't call them "Low quality" Mirror Lures take a beating and last!
