Welcome to EVERY Multiplayer game ever made, before nu--gen consoles and matchmaking casualized everything to hell.
It was the norm that the first 100h, you WILL suck ass and get dominated.
After the first 100h, however, most people will start dominating instead.

@@GugureSux yeah I know how it goes bro. Maybe a bit controversial but I like the matchmaking in new games, at least then I have a chance to get better with people who are around my skill level. Obviously that won't happen with MGO2 because of its age and small playerbase. The only way to have a fair fight for me is to drag my friends in but unfortunately I'm the only one who likes the game.

@@Moss_Official Hot take on an MGO video, regardless of MGO1 2 or 3: the playerbase is toxic and full of cheaters, always has been, you're sort of better off tbh.. Back in the day it used to be lag switchers. Now emulating the game has made cheating easier than ever, regardless of what the admins of the Revive MGO community might claim otherwise. If it's not that you're gonna get hit with someone teabagging you and going "git gud scrub" in YOOL 2023, somehow.
If you're looking for a game with a low cost of entry, ease of play, and installed base, give The Last Of Us 1's multiplayer mode a try. It's got a lot of what made MGO fun, in a lot of respects, and it's still very active on any given night of the week, on official servers still none the less. There's still a cheater once in a while, and occasionally you'll get stomped for sure, but I've found it's much easier on newer folx than an oldhead title like MGO2.

@@futuristique5927 Oh dude I love TLoU MP. It's one of the reasons I wanted to try and get back into MGO2 after so long. I don't mind losing and getting my ass whipped on MGO, I bring up that it's hard for new players to get into the game because I really want my friends to play but unfortunately they arent as resilient as me to constant losing.
