I have a 2SS but the ZL1 is my dream car. When i retire I’m gonna give my SS to my son and get the ZL1....................and go back and forth to the grocery store. 👍🏾

UA-cam ad revenue is not even remotely enough to fund an entire film crew + camera equipment + writers + editors + shutting down roads + renting tracks + destroying tires, all for just 1 video. I’ve driven both cars and honestly, I’d chose the Hellcat over the Camaro, even though the Camaro handles betters and is a more of a sports car than the challenger, but people forget about comfort! Driving a challenger is way more comfortable than a Camaro, I can see out of it better and has a more spacious interior.
I'll take a GT500 over these two, faster than both and handles better than Camaro ZL1 1LE. Outward visibility isn't an issue either with GT500. More comfortable than Camaro too.

I’m fortunate enough to have basically both of these (I have a Charger Hellcat and a manual ZL1). Can’t go wrong with either car. They’re pretty different but at the same time a bit similar. Hellcat is more fun to drive in the city, Camaro on the twisties. Such a great time to be a car guy now. So many great cars are out there. Choose whatever you like!

I'd walk past a fleet of Hellcats to get my hands on a Camaro ZL1...the same goes for a Camaro SS 1LE...ditto a Camaro SS. This generation of Camaros (4 cylinders, V6 and V8) are all truly serious sports cars.
Demon does have a ridic burn out when they turn off the traction. I think old american drag cars (moded) have the most insane burnouts ive seen. Most smoke ive seen comes from drift races lol

Hellcats run mid to low 11s all day, but in the video they said it only ran 11.9, so no, just because it's a high performance car doesn't mean you can hop in and put down good times. You have to know how to handle the power.
I own a ZL1 and my brother owns a 17' hellcat.. and I got to say that hellcat is truly something else. I always was a camaro guy but regardless were all car guys and the hellcat is a true beast.. also that guy who ran the hellcat in the quarter really cant drive, we never ran from a dig but the hellcat does take the W in a roll

I tried my best to get that Gt350 but that freaking ZL1 is on a different level and it kept calling my name. I would plan to buy the ford and hype myself up and then I see a pic on the chevy and that muscular body and hips like beautiful woman and I just couldn’t get that mustang. And then the handling and performance is just on a different level. I really wanted that ford and the flat plan crank but it just wasn’t enough

Car was 2 weeks old..He added headers,tuned carbs and slicks of the day that had less traction than the tires of new cars! ~Hell,my 68 Charger R/T 440 runs low 10's@131 mph!! Street trim,looks stock in/out even engine bay looks stock (as can be)..440(535 ci now) 727 auto and get this 3.23 gearing!!!! Stock it ran 12.80's with jetted carb,re curved distributor and wider tires than stock 185 -70 series 14 inch!
While I agree the Camaro is the better car on all the categories they mention, I'm afraid i can't agree with the 1/4 mile test. A 11.9 ET for the Hellcat is a very anemic time to say the least. These cars easily get into the tens and with very little tweaking they see the 9's. Look at all the match ups on YT. It is very rare to see the ZL1 beat a Hellcat that is running to spec.

It's not greed. The quality of production of MotorTrend is way high end just to rely on Google ad money. They need to make a profit and not just break even. I haven't seen "free" shows here in UA-cam that shoots the same production quality. There are good ones, but not to TopGear extent.

~Back in 1970 my Dads new 1970 Cuda 440 6bbl with 3.54 gears ran 11.80's in the 1/4! Car was 2 weeks old..He added headers,tuned carbs and slicks of the day that had less traction than the tires of new cars!
~Hell,my 68 Charger R/T 440 runs low 10's@131 mph!! Street trim,looks stock in/out even engine bay looks stock (as can be)..440(535 ci now) 727 auto and get this 3.23 gearing!!!! Stock it ran 12.80's with jetted carb,re curved distributor and wider tires than stock 185 -70 series 14 inch!
While I agree the Camaro is the better car on all the categories they mention, I'm afraid i can't agree with the 1/4 mile test. A 11.9 ET for the Hellcat is a very anemic time to say the least. These cars easily get into the tens and with very little tweaking they see the 9's. Look at all the match ups on YT. It is very rare to see the ZL1 beat a Hellcat that is running to spec.
Camaro zl1 for sure. That thing put a nurburging time of 7:29. Something lol. Thats not bad nor great but slightly impressive for the car that it is. Mopar has the beautiful dodge viper :). Challenger n chargers are ok

I’ve never been behind the wheel of either vehicle but I know the Mopar will smoke that Chevy in a straight line in a nonpartisan comparison.
The zl1 1le has beaten the redeye but the gt500 has beaten both of them look it up on yt

It's not greed. The quality of production of MotorTrend is way high end just to rely on Google ad money. They need to make a profit and not just break even. I haven't seen "free" shows here in UA-cam that shoots the same production quality. There are good ones, but not to TopGear extent.
@@fjaajf Have you watched Gears and Gasoline? The production quality is just as high, alot of the shots actually look better, and they have 6 million less subscribers. At 6.5 million subscribers, there would be no shortage of YT revenue. There is no way they are making more money with this model.

There is no bias. The ZL1 is just better and better and better in everything. But the Hellcat is as fun as it gets.

Not to mention the Demon 808. Jonny’s option is bias, he talk about all the chevys his dad and grandfather had. Not to mention the chevys he himself owned. Sure the lighter Camaro performs better on a track but people don’t buy these car to go around tracks. Everyone is bias it’s human nature. I mean look at my profile name.
