With the nerf to Fleshy Abundance, the Nurgle Exalted Hero is now almost as good as a healer as the Nurgle Sorcerer is in terms of raw healing, and his healing costs NO WINDS OF MAGIC! The math: Overcasted Fleshy Abundance (OFA) costs 25 WOM when fully upgraded through skills (I think), so if we assume one has 125 WOM total in a hypothetical battle with only single entities, it can be cast 5 times in total. OFA heals for 1.6% over 19 ticks, which amounts to 30.4% healed for each of the 4 affected units, totalling 121.5% healing with one cast. This can be done 5 times in this hypothetical battle, totalling 608% healing, 6 units' worth of health. Locus of Fecundity (LoF) heals for 0.8% over 12 ticks for 9.6%, which can be done 3 times over the course of the battle for a total of 28,8% healing per unit. Since LoF has no limit on affected targets it means that in this battle the healing done is multiplied by 20, for a total of 576% healing. If you have a reinforcing army of single entities, this amount is even higher. And remember, this costs NO WINDS OF MAGIC! Edit: Forgot to factor in the lore of Nurgle passive which amounts to 100% extra healing when cast 5 times, so it's actually 708.
It’d probably work well to take both of them for a doomstack like this. Even without casting FA, just using the lore passive like in this battle plus the exalted hero should heal close to cap.
Wtf they nerf nurgles heal like that. It healing everyone was what made it unique from lore of life heal. It costing more winds was the consequences but them nerfing the number it heals defects the point. Considering most play campaigns nerfing makes little sense.
I'm a huge fan of the Chaos Sorcerer of Nurgle being on a warshrine. It's very easy to get maxed missile resist on a Chaos Sorcerer and the warshrine gives AOE regen around it. The AI also love to target it with ranged attacks, but it has max resist and 14k HP, so it just absorbs fire for your damage dealers. It's like having Festus in every army with twice his normal hp and the ability to keep both auras up.
the issue with that wizard at the end is very likely because of attack animations. Kholek (and a lot of other units) stop to perform their swing (attack), and by the time the swing hits the opponent the opponent has moved a bit which causes it to miss. Makes it almost impossible for units that dont have a moving charge attack animation to properly persue single entities running away from them. Pretty much only dragons are really good at hitting units running away from them because they have that leap attack animation
I'm currently finishing up a campaign and it has a WE endgame crisis. And yep I sure FEEL it! I tried to surround a single sister of the thorn unit with 20 units of dragon knights. Couldn't manage it - they're so damn slippery!
