Fun fact about Alith Anar while you're beating him senseless, he's voiced by Dylan Sprouse, aka Zach from the Suite Life of Zach and Cody, that's not a meme he genuinely voices him.
I'll not be able to unhear this now, I never even realised but going back and listening to his voice lines, oh man. Even a behind the scenes video with him doing some of his lines.
Apparently he really loves Alith Anar too, to the point of having been the one to approach CA about voicing them.
To add to the fun fact, it's not his only video game voice role. He voiced the secret boss in Kingdom Hearts 3.

I feel like pre fellowship Gimli and Taurox would get along very well. Both hate elves, both like using axes, and both have been known to propel their own bodies at high velocities to use as a weapon.

Reginald, and Taurox, are omitted from the Great Book of Grudges thanks to their extermination of the Elves in great detail with an hour long video.
The existence of casual racism against elves implies there is also ranked, competitive racism against them too. And Reginald will win.
The funnier part about the Tyrion bit is that hes canonically one of the the most hard edge straight elfs. Dude is into ONE lady in the Everqueen and literally no one else and every other elf thinks hes a weirdo about it,
He's also a total murder machine who picks up Evil Elven Excalibur and goes apeshit with it in the end times.
Which is rad.

I’m 5 minutes in and honestly I think this is one of your better videos, Reggie. You’ve got your brand of humor intact but this feels more like a walkthrough so I (a pea brained numbskull who hasn’t played any of this genre of game) can actually understand what’s going on. I get why this isn’t the typical format you use, I just wanted to say I appreciate the explanations! Keep up the good work!

Ive never played or seen gameplay from TW3. This video just started auto-playing while I was in the middle of a workout, so I didnt get up to change it just let it play and by the 4:17 minute mark you had me hooked and a new subscriber just from your dry humour. I remember when I first got total war 2, and the very first legendary character I played was Tuarox. My rationale? Learn the new map by razing absolutely everything. This gave me flashbacks of all the siege battles. I had to fight most of those dreary siege battles. Tuarox is much stronger than siege battles would suggest. Other than that, good memories of wacking every other enemy with Tuarox and just sending them flying. There were many trials and tribulations.
Fun fact: 'Taur' is from the Latin word for 'bull', meaning you can conceivably understand his name as 'Bull-bull'. Games Workshop really has a lot of creativity sometimes.
Wait, all the dark elves are dead, you destroyed Ulthuan its only turn 15! you beat the game on turn 50! That is my experience with Taurox.

I'm pretty sure in DND lore elves are the least favorite ones in the eyes of the gods
correct me if I am wrong (it has been forever since I read it), but I remember hearing a story that explains that the reason elves live so long is because they were the least favorite compared to humans, so they were given shorter lives, which was meant to be a blessing but the humans were tricked into thinking it was a curse
sadly, i don't think this is true because they were created passively when some gods fought [(they came from their blood) nearly like greek mythology, just less perverted]
and then they used a portal or something to enter 'our' world.
the elves live like 800 years and humans not even 100, how is this a blessing to the humans?

Its impressive how long he has played this game but still somehow doesn't know/use groups, guard mode, withdraw cheese or any other useful in game tools/tricks to keep his units alive and win battles.

What does guard mode does
@@bananadirt7670 makes it so infantry units don't chase routing units or makes ranged units not chase units they have been ordered to shoot who have left their range of fire unless they have been explicitly ordered to do so.
Its really useful for keeping ranged units from suiciding into infantry blobs as they chase routed units they were told to shoot or keeping infantry from unintentionally fleeing to the four corners of the map.
It has its own problems and you do not want it on all units (specifically calvary/flankers), but the benefits are very useful to those who understand how to use such a feature.

I like the concept of the beastmen. Just playing as a mobile hoard and decimating anything that looks at you wrong is fun. Reminds me of the Darkspawn from Dragon Age.
