Yeah, this had to be on purpose.. How did they end up with such a terrible army, but Valkia is nearly level 40? Their treasury is absolutely insane at 69k. Those marauders upgrade several times.. It seems like they know that too. Valkia doesn't give an xp buff.. it would have been better to keep their strong army with Valkia sending her into random territory. *edit* Oh I see how now. They must have just gotten her a few turns ago.
That wizard, fighting back to back with Valkia, is definitely main hero of this show. Sitting in a blob and being slowly ground down while casting one burning head after another and racking up hundreds of kills... not bad for a fifth level generic wizard hero.

Bite off more than he could chew jumping into the middle of Vampire Counts territory with a quickly assembled Khorne army. But having Valkia already makes this battle possible with how good of a duelist she is. Khorne will be pleased with the skulls collected this day.
To be fair vampires are usually pretty weak if you kill their cavalry and flying units. Unless you're going against vlad and Isabella then you better have the right army to deal for multiple turns 😂
FYI if anyone finds themselves in the same situation: Even though teleporting using the chaos portals uses up all your movement, you can still teleport at least once more during the same turn using the same army (i cant recall if Ive made more than two jumps in one turn). This is possible because when you jump, the army is adjacent to the new portal, and activating it again requires no movement. I use this trick all the time when recruiting units: I jump around to multiple settlements depending on what is available and where. It really speeds up the process.
Wait a minute, it's more like FIVE armies completely deleted! Did CA actually patch the ridiculously broken Raise Dead after battle, where like half the army and all the heroes and lords came back every time?
My guess how he found himself in such a situation was he teleported in with Valkia to start mitigating the crisis on a territory he thought was not very well defended due to the armies moving on and then over the end turn he had the armies appear from the fog of war.
i feel like valkia could prob be one of if not the best lord in the game (in battle) if her animations were better. I play her a fair bit and she tends to just not hit units if either they are running from her, they are running directly at her or sometimes just when flying units land. Also her landing animation is so slow that everytime you try to drop on an enemy unit it is already miles away when she is finally on ground.
To be fair, so many units (particularly cav) seem to have trouble chasing down units. I feel like you never really have to worry if one of your single entities were to break and they get chased by a cav unit lol Quite a big change from stuff like medieval 2 where you'd mow down routing units like a lightsaber through butter lmao
WoC tend to be forced to use low tier units for new armies. He likely confederated Valkia recently and she needed a new army so he threw every available recruitable unit of the province into the army and gave them marks of Khorne for thematic reasons. All of the units in the army have low experience levels which suggests a new army.
@@colbunkmust yeah, but Valkia is very near Be'lakor at the start and here is how it actually works for me. 1) I decide to confederate Valkia 2) I recruit a placeholder Lord and start getting warband units, heroes, and gifted Daemons. 3) I fight with Be'lakor along with the placeholder Lord for Unit XP and sometimes he helps me do menial tasks. 4) By the time I have a useable Valkia in my Pool, most of the placeholder Lord units have been upgraded to mid high tier. 5) Valkia enjoys a decent army.

Alternatively one could move Valkia to other locations to pick up better units or recruit units like blood thirsters from the gifts of Chaos, but then we'd never get these ridiculous scenarios. Also, i'd just add, while Valkia isn't that far from Belakor, in my experience Belakor's threats normally come from the opposite direction so there's not incentive to move towards Valkia until Brettonia, Empire and Norsca have been dealt with. Sure, you could rush towards her, but I've never felt that it's that much of a priority for an undivided faction.

The empire and Bretonnia usually have to fight very strong opponents for the first 70 turns and won't be able to send expeditionary forces to Albion for a long time. It is very safe to establish some temp agreement with Norsca and beeline to Sigvald and Valkia to begin with. It is the unofficial Be'lakor's Trinity and you need to get them fast before they kill each other. Plus you get to vassalise Malekith for the sweet dark elf units. And I agree very much that a brand new army needs strong protection early on and must follow the main army as auxiliary forces. An inexperienced Marauder and Bloodletter stack, cannot win against mid game order armies without significant casualties. It was very foolish to send them alone in the middle of the empire.

One of the so called “Cathay Subfactions”, with that huge Chinese dragon tattoo, hinting at the mercenary style. For Khorne they only had a concept art, and nothing for Greenskins. Honestly it does look that they urgently changed the plans in the last moment. Look how they literally kissing the fanbase ass, by reading out loud every single most liked comment under leaks/future dlc video. About Slanesh, Norsca, Vampire Counts etc. Literally every single big topic. So I guess your leaks were indeed correct and it was a last minute adjustment. I honestly don’t expect this DLC to come out anytime soon, as if they would have stuff to show, they would. Don’t get surprised if you get Khorne tigermen, or Ogre monkeys, to resettle the content already made. Honestly, still excited for it. But I expect it to be another “Thrones of Delay” release date wise

They think they don't have to try, and we'll always be here. That's why it is good to hold their feet to the fire a bit. Corpos and Investors need to know that they only get their profit if we get our good product.
Maybe Khorne and Greenskins were in the works for the following DLC and they moved them forward to this DLC after the video; that might be doable. However, there’s no chance that they just panic buttoned after the leaks and started working on Khorne and the Greenskins then. It’s simply not possible for them to make a DLC that fast.
Hero Stacks aside, the Skullcannon is the earliest unit you can do good Doom Stacks with for Khorne, and personally i really LIKE the Skullcannon. Shoot the single entity units and monsters, melee the infantry to reload ammo, such a versatile unit, i love it. It´s fast like a chariot... well, it pretty much IS a chariot... Granted the Bloodthirster or the Soul Grinder are more powerful, but not as fast and more expensive to both buy and upkeep. Whether the Blood Shrine could work as a Doom Stack, i don´t know, haven´t tried as of now. But DAMN does it look cool.
vlassic wh3 where ai just ignores your units and they dont connect their attacks. you charge cavalry into arches and archers just walk away while your cav just stands there
happened to me with norsca vs orcs, brought the regiment of renown norscan wolves to enemy's flank, while marching forward with main force. They shuffled 2 Sav orc big boar boys around and i charged at the rear of the cav, they continued walking to their new positions, ignoring the wolves who ate 2 boar boy units before getting routed, worth it.
Yeah it really feels like the AI has one set of unit AI that actually does what it is supposed to do, while you the player has as brain dead unit AI as the general AI is half the time.
I realize i've never had to send a save to Legend because I always find a way to min/max every situation like he does. I hope i'll have something to send one day
Something makes me believe they made hidden buffs to the empire, and possibly the von carsteins. The AI seems to be much smarter now. Empire is #1 in my Azazel playthrough and I'm #2.. I've never lost a settlement, I've never even lost a unit. I've done a full short victory, even taking over The Ice Court and Kostaltyn.

Any particular reason Legend doesn't use the number keys to select his control groups? It would reduce the amount of times units accidentally get pulled out of them.
I think he tends to play without control groups so he's probably not in the habit of using the hotkeys. :p I've noticed that he also doesn't use the comma/period keys to cycle between units/armies on both the world map and in battles. Again, it's what you're used to I guess.
Yeah, and it wouldn't be a catastrophe to lose that army, legendary lord and quite trash stack, just let her get wounded and build better. Also I think, it usually pays to take risks, at least with piss poor stacks you can replace in few turns. 70k money with 7k income, you could churn out 3-4 more stacks with that and start sacking.

One of my biggest problems with WH TW in general is the lack of utility and enough power of the duelists like Valkya or Sigvald or Snikitch or even Tyrion I mean all of them are fantastic fighters but that's all And their fighting prowess is useless unless you find the right place right time when the enemy lord or hero is isolated and there is no enemy unit around to prevent you from catching the lord or heroes And if you send your duelists to kill an enemy lord or hero when they are protected by other troops they will get stuck and since these types of fighters are not known to have great splash damages they tend to stick in and have a very hard time carving a way out of the blobs And when they are in a blob of enemies no matter how powerful of a fighter your duelist is he will struggle to stay alive Because one of them will easily pin him down while the other dog-piling him to death The problem is they have neither great stoppers nor great pushers Once they're in they are in and there is no way out So I think CA should create a unique attribute that is called Duelist and all of these duelist type of characters should have this This attribute should give the character a large amount of ward save against any attack that is not coming from the lords or heroes while a lord or a hero is in a certain radius from the character In this way, if you send your character to kill a certain enemy character then even if the enemy surrounds you with all types of units to prevent you from destroying their characters by getting close to the target your character will get a massive ward save against all of the damages that the regular units deal to him/her and this will give the duelist a chance to survive the blob and focus on killing the target
Let me just say that it's not nice to laugh at someone's mistakes, especially if they send you their saves to learn something, and You can get money from UA-cam for it ;) On the other hand, the solution to the situation is top-notch.

If you take your cavalry out of guard mode they will run them down, no guarantee that they will actually swing at them though 😂

Any particular reason Legend doesn't use the number keys to select his control groups? It would reduce the amount of times units accidentally get pulled out of them.
I think he tends to play without control groups so he's probably not in the habit of using the hotkeys. :p
I've noticed that he also doesn't use the comma/period keys to cycle between units/armies on both the world map and in battles. Again, it's what you're used to I guess.

Yeah, and it wouldn't be a catastrophe to lose that army, legendary lord and quite trash stack, just let her get wounded and build better. Also I think, it usually pays to take risks, at least with piss poor stacks you can replace in few turns. 70k money with 7k income, you could churn out 3-4 more stacks with that and start sacking.
This is the strength difference between Valkia and Skarbrand. Skarbrand would not have struggled here. But flying valkia is just shit

One of my biggest problems with WH TW in general is the lack of utility and enough power of the duelists like Valkya or Sigvald or Snikitch or even Tyrion
I mean all of them are fantastic fighters but that's all
And their fighting prowess is useless unless you find the right place right time when the enemy lord or hero is isolated and there is no enemy unit around to prevent you from catching the lord or heroes
And if you send your duelists to kill an enemy lord or hero when they are protected by other troops they will get stuck and since these types of fighters are not known to have great splash damages they tend to stick in and have a very hard time carving a way out of the blobs
And when they are in a blob of enemies no matter how powerful of a fighter your duelist is he will struggle to stay alive
Because one of them will easily pin him down while the other dog-piling him to death
The problem is they have neither great stoppers nor great pushers
Once they're in they are in and there is no way out
So I think CA should create a unique attribute that is called Duelist and all of these duelist type of characters should have this
This attribute should give the character a large amount of ward save against any attack that is not coming from the lords or heroes while a lord or a hero is in a certain radius from the character
In this way, if you send your character to kill a certain enemy character then even if the enemy surrounds you with all types of units to prevent you from destroying their characters by getting close to the target your character will get a massive ward save against all of the damages that the regular units deal to him/her and this will give the duelist a chance to survive the blob and focus on killing the target
the one who sent it in is the type of guy to sneakily steal and eat your entire lunch and say that it was an accident

4. Says on stream he doesn't get a lot of Disaster battles sent in, only three per day or something, and most of them are boring.
