I just brought one of these brilliant cases, as well as being ARGB fans they are also PWM fans! so the mb can automatically control the speed, so it will be quieter when idling. Also those long fan screws provided are to secure fans on the bottom of the case, apparently they just thread straight into the holes.
Thanks for the fan screw info! To be fair, I did miss talking about bottom fans screws accurately - they can be used for mounting a fan to a radiator, but because there are twelve it makes more sense for them to be used to fit three fans on the bottom. I didn't use the long screws because I didn't do that. It would actually be very awkward to screw them in place from underneath so to see them in the box was a nice touch... even if 99% of the photos you see of this case aren't using bottom fans. 😂 The three pin legacy fans can also be motherboard controlled, but the speed tends to jump up and down in steps. PWM allows the fans speeds to change smoothly. This effectively makes PWN fans sound quieter because the speed changes are less obvious. And it's pretty brilliant to find them in a case at this price point. 😊
@@sterntechdaddy Thanks for the info. I knew from the manual that it takes 3 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm but didn't know how they were fitted until I found a video with someone who had done it. In your situation with no manual, I would assume the same as you. I liked your video btw. Loved your response to the fans . It is great value. I am also getting their AIO Cooler as well. Great products from Montech.
It's a fair point. My GoPro has a macro lens on it which dims things a bit. I do lighten he footage in the edit, but I'll get another light sorted out.
I'll make a full fan vid the next time I'm building a PC, but for this case you can see that each fan has two cables. These are for the ARGB and the main fan power. There's not much to say really.... the ARGB can all be daisy chained up and the free connector plugged into a header on the motherboard. The fan power connectors can be plugged into any free fan header on the motherboard - but not the one labelled CPU_FAN. That will probably already be used by your CPU cooler fans. If you've unplugged everything then it might be possible to see where things were connected due to 'metal memory'. The cables will probably sit in the position they were removed from if you manipulate them a bit.
@@sterntechdaddy absoulutley !! only problem i had which i thought id overcome with this case is that i have corsair rgb memory which is tall , so could not fit my NZXT Krakken Z63 aio up top , that is unless i changed my ram to low profile , but i had an air cooler so problem averted in the meantime , i was gutted but you cant have it all in a 44 quid case i suppose , all in all a beautiful case !!!!
The specifications state 120mm x 3 or 140mm x 2 for the top. This usually means fans that are mounted to a radiator - so there’s extra space to allow the ends with the pipes on to still fit. I’ve not checked, but judging by the position of the mounting holes and ridges you can probably fit 120mm x 4 in the top if they are just fans and there’s no radiator.
The short answer is no. 🙂 In the video you can see the bottom PSU shroud is a mesh with holes in but these holes aren’t configured for mounting fans. The actual bottom of the case has no holes too… air is drawn in from the bottom panel on the glass side. So you can’t mount fans anywhere on the bottom.
love this so much mate. honestly one one of the best reviews for this case ive seen
Thanks!
And Happy New Year!

Thanks for the video...dont mean to be critical but you could really benefit from better/more intense lighting especially when unboxing black cases

Great video mate. I’ve accidentally unplugged all the fans is there a chance you can make a seperate video of how to wire and setup all the fans

Can you show us who the install the fans correctly
I’m going to make a new video out fans, but for this case the fans are already fitted - they just need connecting.
How many fans can you mount in the top? 120mm
The specifications state 120mm x 3 or 140mm x 2 for the top.

I mounted a 3 x 120mm fan array and radiator at the top of mine. This case is brilliant value.
Can fans be placed on the bottom?

@@sterntechdaddy They can be installed below the graphics card
Got my case 20.99$USD on Amazon
Wow!
Absolute bargain!
😃
US dollars?? Cap, the lowest price ever was $50 new
I believe it.
You're in the USA... they aren't made there. So it'll be $50 where you are, but probably $21in Asia. 😊
