I plant my purple cosmos with my Queen Lime Blush zinnias. Pretty color combo and the strength of the zinnia plants help to hold up the cosmos stems. I hope you will do a taste test with all your new tomatoes at harvest time! So exciting! I also love your cool jazz seed planting music😊.
Yeah man, I started seeds WAY too late, our estimated last frost is the 27th of March :( however we've got sprouts starting to pop up now!! 8b is our growing zone!
I can NOT get seeds to germinate. I even bought the highest rated germination set that’s like little containers that are self watering and have grow lights and humidity lids and I have them on heating mats and after almost 2 weeks I have only a couple lettuce seeds that have popped up. I used seed starting mix since I always have a problem with damping off and I just don’t know what else to do. I really didn’t want to have to buy the seedling plants already started cause I feel like that defeats the purpose but I think I’m going to have to if I want to get what I want in the ground before it’s too late. I’m trying to grow broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, lettuce and luffa’s.
Only the cold hardy plants - sorry i didn't make it clear! Yes, I will slowly get them accustomed to colder temps, leaving them out overnight first when it is 40-50 degrees, then eventually down to the 30s.

I think Bee balm needs to be cold stratified. That may do the trick
oooh yes that would explain why they’ve never worked for me! thanks for the tip 🙂
Such an exciting time of year but yes easy to get overwhelmed. Sounds like you have a good plan.

Got 14 pullets to go with my old girl's and rooster. Good luck with it all.
Thank you, you too!!

Estan muy bien cuidadas
If you are growing tomatillos, you need 2 varieties for cross pollination.
I believe two different varieties of tomatillos are not required for pollination, just two plants!
So you leave your seedlings outside during this time of year? When do you move them outside and do you leave them outside when is 30 degrees?

Can u germinated inside and once u know if the seed is viable plant it directly outside?
It would be way too early for that since these are plants that are sensitive to cold and we are still getting freezing temps.
Oh i though maybe if i would try with peas it might work. I’ll start them indoors then
peas are fine since they are cold hardy! you just don’t want to put warm weather plants out until there is no more frost
