Jimmy Nardello is our favorite pepper as well. We discovered it about 5 years ago, and we have use them instead of bell peppers the last few years. It’s a sweet pepper.
hi dana 🤗 new subscriber and container gardener in southern california zone 10b/11a. i have some of the same botanical interests varieties but grew mostly dollar tree/99-cents store, migardener and ferry-morse seeds. 2024 wasn't the best garden year for me but i grow year-round, so im always sowing seeds. looking forward to seeing sowing, growth and harvest videos. tfs
i love to direct sow too , but most of them either dont germinate or get lost eaten , so in the last year i have sown indoors or in propregaters out side i also use heat mats for some , the super 7 is great for starting seedling you can so so much at once its amazing Garland Super7 Electric Heated Windowsill Propagator G51 i have this one , but you can get a self watering one now also which i would prefer , i use lights in the winter too , but all this i have gathered over the years for certain crops that just need a lil help , good look with the season
Last year I was just perplexed that the basil seeds I direct sowed had zero germination. In actuality the SLUGS were decimation the seedlings as soon as they broke above the ground! :/ So maybe you have a slug problem too in that particular spot where you sowed the herbs.
What are you excited to grow in your garden in 2025? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you! I will look into those. Thanks for the recommendations.
Last year was a nightmare for gardening were I’m at. I’ve never seen so many slugs 😂
Oh no! I’m so sorry! My parents used to bait slugs with dishes of beer.
Have you tried the Joseph Lofthouse collection of seeds from Adaptative Seeds they were bred at high altitudes at Paradise in Utah
I haven’t heard of those before. I will check them out. thank you!

Ugh slugs are the worst! Where we live is super dry so I’m not sure it’s slugs. I'll definitely keep an eye out for those though.
