Such a good idea to grow the beans that are bought for food! Much more affordable that way, you can get so many plants

I love the Christmas Lima! We are a huge bean family and it is such a pleasure to use the different varieties as eyes candy stored in jars on pantry shelves. I’ve never heard of that huge white bean so of course I’ll have to try that. Thank you for sharing the beans and it will be fun watching your reviews of them!

I’m always up for a seed review! I even brought my Baker Creek Whole Seed Catalog on our Christmas cruise.

What a fantastic idea for the beans! We are growing more tomatoes this year as well. My youngest kiddo loves green cherry tomatoes so we are trying several varieties of those this year. Little nervous of not knowing when they are ripe but we will give it a go.

Love your choices!! Baker Creek is so hard to resist… even with the shipping charges to Canada 😅 For Ananas noir, it means black pineapple in French. Ananas is sorta pronounced like Banana, but with a silent B, and all the A’s pronounced like the first. Kinda like the minions pronounce it 🍌 hehe

New subscriber! Your weather sounds like ours last year! The kellogs tomato is a good slicer but not a canner... We went orange this year on tomatoes. Check out our seed haul video.

Such an inspiring video Michelle! If I was ever to switch from growing cut flowers to more veggies, I would use your videos as a tutorial 😊👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I'm growing the queen lime peach this year. Also I'm trying the sugar rush peach and the datil pepper. i plant to use them in spice mixes primarily, that and cayenne. I typically experiment with tomatoes every year, and have grown little in the way of production tomatoes. LOL!

I’ve been wanting to try Rancho Gordo’s Beans too! I might splurge on some consume and will reserve some for planting as well- they have some interesting varieties!

Just a heads up on the Hungarian heart tomato, they are known to be a wispy plant (aka weak sickly looking) that is a trade of several ox heart type tomatoes. They do produce huge tasty fruits but I would caution not to rely on them to much as your main producer especially in hot humid climates. I did a trial on indeterminate sauce tomatoes and all the oxheart types did poorly in the heat while other types kept trucking ( Amish paste-Comstock sauce and slice) just a word of caution

I got the datil as a free seed last year... it is HOT. But I kind of max out at jalapeños, so maybe I'm just a baby when it comes to spicy 🥵
