New subscriber here! It's such a breath of fresh air to see a young interracial couple who homesteads! My husband and I are also in an interracial marriage, and we're homesteading in our mid twenties. It can be challenging to find like-minded people whom we can relate to, especially when facing racism in our hobby (is homesteading a hobby? Way of life?). You guys seem so genuine and gentle, and I love hearing your stories!
i loved this Q @ A,,your personalities really shone through, and i saw a fuller side to both of you,,you compliment each other perfect,,i loved your story of your first raised beds on random land lol(instead of hauling water..i would of bartered some produce with the neighbour, for water lol),thank you for sharing your journey with us.ooo by the way i do love watching you cook, its different to my cooking,so it is inspiring me to try new meals xx
Thank you for answering so many questions! I saw a few of mine in there too which was exciting for me. I loved learning more about your knitting and I’m excited to see some of the spinning and dyeing! You also inspired us to get some ameraucanas and track our egg production! Our family loves watching your videos together. I hope you do some form of pantry challenge because we love watching your cooking videos. You make your own rules so I think you can still do it ;) Congratulations on 10k!
I love the front yard gardening story. Brilliant idea. I don’t have a lot of space to garden and use all of the space that gets enough sun to grow. You two are great. Loved this video, thank you💥
I got on the list for our community garden in 2020 (along with everyone else, it seemed), and finally got a plot the following year. It's been great. I've been learning so much and I'm amazed at how productive the space has been, even with all of my mistakes. In addition to our own 8 x 10 plot (plus water and compost), we have access to berry bushes, fruit trees, an herb garden, and some perennials. We also share tools and seeds, so you could garden on a very tiny budget. They are also social and learning spaces. I highly recommend folks without their own land get on the list even if it's several years away.
Thank you for this Q & A. I've been watching you from the beginning and now know more about you both. Your a super cute, smart couple and I enjoy watching your animals, garden content and recipes. I am starting to make more Asian cuisine (and loving it) since watching you. Thanks again for sharing! Have a great Christmas and New Years!
It was lovely to get to know you two a little more!!! My hubby and I don't want kids either. This year for our 10 yr anniversary we got tattoo rings (we are committed). Don't have to worry about dirt or losing it lol. I have been enjoying learning your gardening tips. I grew up on a small farm, and have started getting back into gardening slowly depending on what the budget allows. Keep up the good work and may you both have a healthy and happy new year! Look forward to what you will grow next year!🎉
I love the pantry challenge videos. I don't think you need to be overly strict about how you do the challenge. As you said, the main function is to think about how to use up what you've grown and stored. I would also enjoy videos on dying and spinning natural fibers. (And maybe weaving?)
My favorite videos are.definitely cooking. I think a pantry challenge with your own rules is fine. The more real the better. Knitter here. I’ve resisted spinning. You might be surprised at how many views you’d pick up. Either share here or post a link. Glad to hear you’ve found a hobby that brings you joy. Deb in Florida
I've always loved your channel, but it feels even better to hear your takes on these questions. You seem like a really nice couple and I hope to get somewhere similar to where you are one day. Right now I still live with my mum (I'm 21), but hopefully we will move in with my boyfriend next year. This flat has a balcony,, which is tiny, but has brought me so much joy over the last 3 years,. I've grown many things here, and I hope to have a garden in the future, though with this economy I don't really see that happen anytime soon :( Your sweaters are amazing, knitting is something I've always admitted but I never really had the motivation to start it.
I really enjoy your cooking videos! Everything always looks sooooo tasty and I love that you don't use as much meat as some other homesteaders.❤ I also feel very similar towards having the kids (me and my partner don't really want any, but will probably consider adoption after getting a little older) and it's such a nice feeling to find someone on the same page in the homesteading community:) You really are my favourite youtube channel and I love everything you do! It's just so refreshing and cool
i'm happy to know there are other fiber artists out there! The pattern for the sweater is the Zipper Sweater by PetiteKnit. She has a few different versions, but this is the one I used for mine, and using the same for Aaron's (instead of buying the separate men's version): www.petiteknit.com/en/products/zipper-sweater-8?variant=39623112392759 All her patterns are great and popular!
That was a lovely video. I love your pantry challenge videos. I love your cooking videos. They are so beautiful. Not sure why there would be fewer videos. Have a lovely holiday! ❤️🌲

Haha I knew somebody would! I don't mind being asked and answering, as long as people don't judge the answers 😊😊 We're so excited for new chicks too!
Excited to watch your video on the data of the chickens. I really enjoyed this video! Thank you ❤
