After listening to this for the 1st time back in 2012, I was amazed at the drumming when it begins at 2:29...
Now, in 2019, over 7 years later, I listened again and a magical thing has happened!
Pay attention to the drumming part in-between Jack Black's lyric pauses:

brooks is so damned good he can play anything he's challenged to. He's the drummer that ultimately replaced the great Jimmy Sullivan, and not only he lives up to the name, he's also earned a spot between the greats with his latter A7X albums

I love this version so much! The mutes on the guitar and bass, plus the heavy and fast drums, Plus Jack and Kyle's vocal harmonies, it makes "the metal" more metal than before!

+jijst5 Brooks is a great drummer. he can play way more styles of music than most strictly metal drummers can. plus, the guy was in a Trash metal band (not to mention bad religion) he can play blazing fast. not everything needs blast beats to be good metal drumming.

I'm talking about drummers like Mike Mangini (Dream Theather), Marco Minnemann (Aristocrats, Necrophagist), Matt Garstka (Animals as Leaders), Tomas Haake (Meshuggah).... Chris Adler (Lamb of God) and Inferno (Behemoth) are more 'traditional' fast metal drummers, but extremely skilled anyway.

There's some irony in Brooks playing this song because he was in Bad Religion for 15 years and 7 albums haha. Bad Religion are the godfathers are punk from 1988 to today. They've been around since 1979.

@nicodintudor according to the wiki he uses these drums: 5.5x14 candy apple red maple snare or 6.5x14 DW alluminum snare. He also uses a 5.5x14 Craviatto Diamond series nickel-over-brass snare. The one in the video looks, erm, metal, so maybe it's nickel-over-brass. But I couldn't click 'reply' under your comment so maybe you'll never see this

It's called a harmonic discord it is two guitarists playing harmonized parts that are slightly on slightly off so it adds a more intense sound. Kinda like playing a seventh chord

You're probably mistaking the bass for the guitar. The bass and drums are mixed exceptionally loud in this one. There's nothing wrong with the guitar tone.
