Cheers mate, my right rod was down the margin. Bailiff said the pike work the features out in the lake most of the time as that’s where the silvers are, Hugh had his fish from open water so seemed the way to go!
Great video as always. You did the right thing by hitting the pike run early, better to drop the odd fish than deep hook them and potentially harm the fish. one small tip on setting the hooks, reel down to the pike until you cant wind anymore. No strike is needed as its a firm ease into the pike, let the test curve of the rod do the work in a smooth controlled manor.. Great to see the buzz from fishing for non carp..👍👍👍

Not far from me lads I work at hinkley c power station and I fish the bridgwater canal dock lots of pike in there you should try it one time free to fish 🎣👊💯

It’s an Amazon job, yes it has a red light. Just search for a small rechargeable head torch and it should come up. It’s bright considering the size of it!
one thing ,i have fished for pike for over 60 years , just stay away from man made liquids ,the pike knows what is right and what is not natural .

The Sedgemoor drain is also great piking venue. Plenty big carp also but can be clicky with the neanderthal locals if you pinch there prebaited spot
I fished it for carp with my dad back in the late 90s, they were thin on the ground back then so it must be rock hard now!
Good effort both I've been over prebaiting earlier out in the morning the temp is rising so I hope the ice is gone off the dock and I can get some pike on the bank 🎣👊💯
Have you had the 28 pike from docks I fish it for carp had 11 last year including a 28.5 26.6 and a 25 mirror plus a few doubles

im from the west mids and we have loads of waters that once had some great pike in them but the last 10 years has seen such a down hill slope , and we all know where there going but not aloud to say,

Nice brew making but can I recommend a longer set of forceps and a heavier lead plus you're using that drop off all wrong. Bloody carpers!
We feel our brew skills are what people come to watch 📺 I’ve got three sets of forceps and long nosed wire cutters, all bases covered! Heavier lead might have been a good option 👍 how was the drop off wrong?

Most waters ban live baits.
@@TheFishingBloggers because they are the best for piking they ban anything that is good of course
@@myopin1on618 most fisheries ban live baits as they don’t want anglers bringing live fish from elsewhere and spreading disease which could wipe out their livelihoods!

@@myopin1on618 many anglers used to catch and store fish in tanks at home and take them to fisheries to save time, it used to be common place before the effects of moving fish between fisheries became apparent, so most just banned live baits full stop. Some waters allow you to catch silvers and use them, but not many.

@@TheFishingBloggers it’s always been fenced.. and they have been doing the fence for 20+ years! Have vids on my phone of the family of otters and even the mess left behind! Such a shame really as there is some nice fish to go at in there! The peg you was in is 1 of the hot pegs just so you know…
