Hi mam your video's are excellent.. I recently came across your channel and now I am a big fan of you and immediately subscribed your channel... You explain the process very elegantly ... Thank you soo much... I have a query mam..can we use air dry clay for this jewellery..??
Hi Neha...all your videos are very nice and clearly explained....really inspiring....i have a query on the chord and beads used...please say what is the diameter of the chord used and what is the diameter of the wooden bead hole... thanks
Thank you! I picked up these cords in bulk a long time back. So I don't remember the size of it. In the video I did mention that the cord and bead you choose has to go hand in hand as the bead needs move up and down the cord firmly. The hole of the wooden bead I have is approximately 0.3 cms in diameter. Going by that the nylon cord should be half of that. But I do suggest you try both (bead and cord) before buying.
Wow! Appreciate your video.. keep doing! Could you pl let me know what clay you have used in this video and where can we get it? I use a normal terracotta clay. But I feel it's bit messy and not ending up with a smooth finish.
Thank you so much! I use low fire earthen ware clay. If you reside in India, you can approach clay Joy or Clay Station in Bangalore.both are pottery studios and when I use to live in Bangalore, I picked my clay from Clay Joy. It's smooth and easy to work with.
As a terracotta jewellery maker I have used only natural clay. There isn't a straight forward answer to your question. If you have questions on air dry clay I won't be able to help you there. :)
You should probably check that from the source. I am not sure what clay you are referring to here. You can check with you supplier/ or the store you bought it from on the specs of the product & the firing temperature.
Ma'am I m bhawna from Ujjain (mp).i learned a lot from your videos. I just want k to know that can we bake the jewelry by saw dust and coal. Is it OK. Please let me know. Thanks
Hello Bhawna, Glad you find my videos useful. I have always fired my pieces in an electric kiln at a pottery studio. Its the safest and the results are as expected with least to zero amount of smoke or damage. I would not recommend firing clay at home. If you have access to a pottery studio or even local potters who make larger pots/ vases you can check with them if they can fire the pieces for you. They might oblige and do it for you at a nominal cost.
I didn't buy it online. I usually buy it in bulk from a store in Bangalore, India. The cord I use is a nylon black cord approximate thickness is 3-4mm. I just looked for nylon cord black on Amazon India site. This seems okay. Sharing the link below. But I do realize that it's costly online. You get these cords for much lesser in fancy stores. www.amazon.in/Bright-Decor-Thread-Macrame-Project/dp/B0842W4S2G/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=nylon+cord+thread+black&qid=1592334657&sr=8-6

Hello! glad you tried this set. If you think your product is worth selling try getting a feedback on it first from people. Selling has its challenges but you can try social media. Regarding pricing the product , try to calculate based on the number of hours of work you have put in plus the material cost. But if you are a first time seller, get feedback from people on your work. You mentioned that "lack of finishing" - I am not sure what that means. Please make sure you sell only good quality products.
