I don't think it's recommended to have a kiln at home provided you have a separate well ventilated space to operate one in. As these equipments reach high temperatures, and kept on for almost 16 hours at a stretch it's safe to not do it at home. I understand you being skeptical about it.
paintedEarthbyneha unfortunately pottery studios near my home ( I live in GA) are snooty about firing clay that was not purchased in their studios. I use a charcoal barbecue that fires the low fire blackjack clay I use. I like it except for how quickly it dries while you’re working with it. Of course, my skill level is no where even near yours 😊

To your Q's: -I use a liner brush sixe 20/0 for finer details. - Yes ofcourse we get silicon tip brushes in India. amzn.to/2JqlC5J - I haven't found one on Amazon India, but will update when I do. - Been working with terracotta jewelry for almost 12+ years I haven't bought a kiln so far as its a really expensive piece of equipment and requires a well-ventilated space to run it. I would recommend getting the service outsourced. One of the best brands in the world that makes kilns is Skutt. In India their price starts from a 1 lakh and above. You can try the HTC kiln gas top kiln from clay station as an budget alternative. BTW, please check the description box of the videos. I have provided a few links and hopefully that helps.

Thank you so much I use a soft hair /pony hair round tip brush. Sizes, typically a size 4 or 6 to cover wider surfaces. And for finer details I use a 20/0 liner brush.

Thank you so much! The drying time is based on the size and thickness of the pieces. This pendant and earring took a day and a half to dry completely, till it was no longer cool to touch. But I don't want to risk any moisture content in the piece so I just leave it for another day. So about three days. Some thick pieces I just leave it for drying for almost a week before firing.

I have never done it at home. So I may not be the right person to guide you there. I always got it done in an electric kiln at the studio. I did the same back in the India where I would go to my sir's studio and get fired there in an electric kiln. Here in the US I do that same. I take my bone dry pieces to a ceramic studio and get it bisque fired in an electric kiln.

The beads are dried. Anyways the entire set gets fired after fitting the stick beads inside, so automatically everything gets fired well. There is nothing wrong in firing you stick beads/ghungroo beads prior. But it's just double work and waste of money. You can get it done once all together. Not sure if I explained it well, but hope you understood :)
Do u use water for diluting the paint or paint it undiluted .. when i tried painting the base coat was done perfectly,but the actual colour stay byseeing the brush lines and also paint is not evenly distibuted
I dilute the paint in most cases unless a certain a technique requires me to use undiluted paint. The paint from the tube is usually thicker than the paint from a bottle. So dilute accordingly.
Madam need your advise. That after paint is there any specific way to dry the paint under sun light because I am not getting good finishing I am getting so many patches

Thank you so much! The brand of varnish used here is the decoart satin varnish. The brushes you can try using a thin liner brush which helps in getting finer outlines. I have also used a round brush here. Two of them used is from the brand Masters touch. I personally like that brand for both paints and paint brushes.
I product I use is called Decoart dura clear satin varnish. In India you can try brands like liquitex or brustro. While buying a varnish, you might want to follow this check list- Non-yellowing, clear, odorless, suitable for acrylics, easy to clean the brushes with water, fast drying.
Neha mam. Asual great and attractive colour combinations. Mam but one doudt is it compulsory to varish them. And why did u add two wooden beads in the end. And also is there any method where I can straighten the nylon cord in the end where we split them up like a bush.
Thank you so much! I only recently started varnishing. If done individually the beads don't stick and paint doesn't peal off. I have added two wooden beads just to be on the safer side. Sometimes when the set of a little heavy it's best to include that to manage the weight. The nature of the cord is such that it tends to fray. I usually leave it as it is. But there are ways to add separate kuchu to it.
@@nehagopinathpillai that's lovely mam. Plz upload a video like how to add the kuchi I tried varnishing. But I didn't like the look it's a kinda of like plastic. So I stopped that.
@@deepikaanimator4286 maybe you should try a matt or satin varnish instead of a glossy one. I don't like glossy ones. My varnish can be thinned down with water. So I just apply a thin layer.
@@deepikaanimator4286 depends on the person who uses it. I never use to varnish my pieces earlier. Didn't get any complaints. Only recently did I start varnishing, so honestly I think it's a personal choice. Some people/customers expect theirs to be varnished while some don't.

I use a black nylon cord or this style of assembling. The approx thickness is 3-4 mm. You can get these easily in fancy stores or craft stores across India. You can also look up Amazon India for the product.

In India you can try brands like liquitex or brustro. While buying a varnish, you might want to follow this check list- Non-yellowing, clear, odorless, suitable for acrylics, easy to clean the brushes with water, fast drying.

I just go by an approx consistency. I don't apply the paint too thick or too thin. Do watch some of our painting videos. Hope that helps.

Neha mam. Asual great and attractive colour combinations. Mam but one doudt is it compulsory to varish them. And why did u add two wooden beads in the end. And also is there any method where I can straighten the nylon cord in the end where we split them up like a bush.

I only recently started varnishing. If done individually the beads don't stick and paint doesn't peal off.
I have added two wooden beads just to be on the safer side. Sometimes when the set of a little heavy it's best to include that to manage the weight.
The nature of the cord is such that it tends to fray. I usually leave it as it is. But there are ways to add separate kuchu to it.

I tried varnishing. But I didn't like the look it's a kinda of like plastic. So I stopped that.
@@deepikaanimator4286 maybe you should try a matt or satin varnish instead of a glossy one. I don't like glossy ones. My varnish can be thinned down with water. So I just apply a thin layer.

@@deepikaanimator4286 depends on the person who uses it. I never use to varnish my pieces earlier. Didn't get any complaints. Only recently did I start varnishing, so honestly I think it's a personal choice. Some people/customers expect theirs to be varnished while some don't.
Is it necessary to bake the jewelry immediately or we can keep it for 1 to 2 months and then bake?
You can wait but take care of it. Bone dry pieces are very fragile.

Back in India I would use only Fevicryl hobby ideas acrylic paints. Here in the US, I use 3 different brand: Master's touch, Anita's and Folk Art

I use a black nylon cord or this style of assembling.
The approx thickness is 3-4 mm. You can get these easily in fancy stores or craft stores across India. You can also look up Amazon India for the product.
