If they were to be given a voice to their overarching goal I'd have to say it's simply to make the best out of the zone that they can and explore it as fully as possible for incredible wealth and fame devoid of petty politics or grand aspirations.
I agree with what you are saying about Loners. I guess from a logical stand point its hard to collectively group them together because every loner has a different goal. Yes, they come together out of neccessicity sometimes and have locations where they gather but they aren't built to be a faction exactly. Loner should be a title I think. The problem with the Monolith trying to eliminate all negative emotions from the world using "The Zone" is that there isn't any such thing as negative emotions, only emotions used incorrectly. Happy is an emotion and can generally be considered good, but what if you are happy that something awful happened? Is it still positive then? Anger is considered a negative emotion but what if you are angry at something evil? If you did play stalker anomaly, a fanmade stalker game, you can see the renegades in the great swamps
Well, i truly like them taking the best aspects of ecologists and the military aspect of how they should actually be But in my opinion... for example: in anomaly, they literally butchered clear sky for me, that might be in part for the fact that no one has any idea of how go around the lore of their end as they where, so they are basically clueless and have no goal whatsoever anymore as before, so it makes me kinda sad... Back to the mercs i guess...
@@dmytrogalan1005 Makes sense though, their leadership and visionaries died. The ones left try to keep the spirit of their ideals going but lack the competency or vision to do it fully. It's a melancholic group to be part of in Anomaly. I like it.
Mercs should be A tier, I like the weapons they can get and armor plus it’s cool disguising yourself as other factions to get intel and progress through the storu
I think the Ecologists should go up because they are both necessary in story progression and play large rolls in it But more importantly their research of the zone and the like leads to the highest odds of surviving the zone itself instead of the humans within it. That and they aren't picking fights left and right unlike the other factions, so it would be easiest for them to team up with other factions for manpower
Honestly, be it partially mind-controlled or fully mind-controlled or even not mind-controlled at all. I don't mind being a monolith, they had a sound "goal" if it can be called that and being able to get along with Zombies is kinda cool
the thig thats funy is the Military unchained in Warfare mode absolutely destroys everyone but Eco pretty much and so does Monolith so they both kind of class in the middle once they take most of the land
Some of the worst writing imo was the mercenaries, they got written as comic book villains that do no good, stalker 2 takes care of that a bit by morphing ex-ones into dawn, which is cool
I like your point of view but personally imo I love merc, to me it makes tons of sense. War definitely has a side that is related to business so it only makes sense that guns for hire would flock over to zone regardless of back story or origin with the promise of financial gain
@@arcane3419 that parts fine, just the total lack of self preservation outside of the job and supposedly mercs being useless with anomalies and such as a weakness is not being trained in the zones phenomenon, which no one is spare UKM really, the mercenary part totally makes sense though, one of my favorite factions the writing just hurts them

Freedom's work to protect the barrier is good, but because they do literally nothing to create free access they are same as duty I think. Now as a merc, I am here to make money... And I'm still poor so that's accurate c tier :***(
For me S : Monolith, Mercs, UNISG A : Duty, Freedom B : Loner, Clear Sky, Bandits C : Military, Ecologist D : Renegades Edit : I was putting UNISG at D tier, but turns out they fucking use NATO weapons and equipment
S: Monolith, Clear Sky A: Ecologists, Freedom, Mercs B: Loners, Duty C: Military, Bandits D: Renegades military should def not be in d-tier if only because Degtyarev
I disagree with most of this list. Clear sky obviously fails in the first game and is a tiny faction that really has very little influence over the zone, getting very close to the monolith but being helplessly outgunned in every way and not preparing for something as basic as an emission which they seem to study. To me they obviously fail, but that is the point of them being a tragic faction. So they'd be like a B or an A. I like clear sky as a faction but the entire point of them is that they are scrappy and weak and in over their head. Monolith is S-Tier as they still have ultimate control over the zone, despite almost no influence in the outer zone area, and control the main areas which is something even the military can't do. I agree the military is pretty low, but not a D tier as they actually do a good job fighting and work with other groups in the zone, and in the later games such as Pripyat ultimately work with Strelok to figure out the secrets of the zone. So to me they're more like a C or a B as they suck at their jobs but through sheer brute force and by reassessing their tactics ultimately win. Similarly the ecologists are an S-tier because, with Strelok and other factions end up changing the zone and getting to the root cause of the faction, being successful in both studying the zone and using all the factions except monolith (even mercenaries and to some extent bandits) to accomplish their goals. They can go so far as to call in military air strikes or send in waves of duty soldiers to fight for them when they need to. and hire mercenaries and other groups to work for them, using strelok and all the heavy hitters to accomplish their goals in the zone. In the end, they're hte only one's with any hope of countering the C-Consciousness, without them basically nothing from understanding artefacts, to buying them, to studying things or figuring out emissions, zombies etc. would be possible. Freedom is an A, as they do a good job fighting, but don't really accomplish much outside of this, growing in power as a faction but not really achieving anything major outside from some territory. Also they do capture a few military outposts. Loners are weird as they seemingly have no real organization, but they make up a bulk of the members of the zone and Beard, Sidorivich, Barkeep and so on make operations in the zone possible. Their information and resources make the ability for anyone outside of the military to operate in the zone possible. So while they may not necessarily achieve everything themselves, they do facilitate other groups better than you might think, putting them at a B or an A. Bandits to me are at C level as, they don't really fight all that well or capture much territory, but due to sheer persistence and numbers succeed. The Renegades are at a D for me as, unlike bandits they are nearly completely wiped out early in Clear sky and so basically fail instantly despite having basically the same goals. As far as Duty goes, I heavily disagree, as with less resources than the military, they manage to accomplish the same goals better, penetrating far deeper in to the zone and making it to final parts of the zone, notably with Strelok and others. They facilitate just about every major operation in the game, defending ecologists, providing refuge for free stalkers like Strelok or others who make a real difference, and Duty might not actually achieve most of their goals themselves, but they do facilitate everyone else achieving them, sort of being an anti-ecologist in that they don't use other factions but promote them, defending both loners and ecologists, as well as Clear sky, taking on the mantle of protecting all of them. The day-to-day grind of killing bandits, mercenaries, rogue stalker groups like Freedom and so on is all accomplished by Duty, as well as killing mutants, charting out the zone, defending barrier outposts, and recruiting people. Duty unlike the military recruits normal people and stalkers in to their ranks and uplifts them by giving them weapons, a safe haven, supplies and so on, being both a provider and guardian, and also settles disputes between groups, allowing others to come to the zone at all. They have the same goals of the military or ecologists generally, but do a much better job at the military at it. Still, they individually don't have much influence over the zone's problems itself, and are more of a reaction to the zone than a solution for it, but when it comes to containment do a good job, so they get an A for me. None of the actions of groups like strelok would be possible without them defending the bar and other regions of the zone, so they are the clear facilitators here, their quirks outside. Mercenaries are the only true wild card, as while they are extremely well equipped and armed, they don't seem to have any real goal and are really a bunch of different groups. They seem like they'd be the clear winners as they have the most resources given that it's a bunch of outside financers backing them in the zone, but with no real direction or understanding of the zone or even clear organization, they fall apart quickly. They have a lot of weapons and gucci stuff, but no direction leads to them just aimlessly wandering around. Many of them even just end up joining bandits. So they end up being a C in that fight well, but don't take over the zone. Duty and loners are a faction that succeed by sheer grit, where as mercenaries succeed through sheer money. In a way, it's a good explanation as to why some rich foreign military doesn't just come in and wipe everything out and take over; they just don't know how, and the closely guarded secrets of the zones are only known by it's inhabitants. Some outside foreign person is simply beat by locals who have the inside knowledge of what's going on, just like in real life with Chernobyl. The fact the zone is so secretive is why the mercenaries lose; all firepower, no direction or knowledge. But individually they're A or S-Tier as they make tons of money getting to explore the zone and fight people.
Hey man can you spend a minute cropping the video next time? without the taskbar and browser bar it would look like a more prepared piece of content. Cool thoughts on some of the factions and their effectiveness in achieving their goals, thanks for sharing.
I’ll be honest. I think Duty are held back my lack of understanding of the higher threats of the zone. They seem to do a good job of containing the more mundane threats. I mean, say you are a random stalker, you have no understanding of the C-CON. noshphere. Or even how the Zone works. But you do know that these murders and rapists are running a mock, with crime bosses slowly gaining power, that these mutants with powers that, if they got out into the world, would cause havoc in Eastern Europe and maybe even the world, and artifacts, that while some are just purely useful for dealing with radiation sickness or cancer, others could be weaponized in the wrong hands. Plus their colors seem to indicate a strong Ukrainian nationalist stance explaining their dislike for the Mercs, especially for the foreign or NATO backed groups. All in all, against these more immediate mundane threats, Duty is doing gods work to help protect the world. But they aren’t scientists, they aren’t clear sky or Strelok. They don’t have the knowledge or real means to effect change on the underlying problems of the Zone, so saying they aren’t achieving their goals just because they haven’t deleted the zone from existence feels kinda unfavorable.
While it is true that Duty may lack the scientific knowledge and expertise of groups like Clear Sky or individuals like Strelok, dismissing their effectiveness based on this premise alone would be unfair. Duty's primary focus is on maintaining order and security in the Zone, which they have been relatively successful at achieving. Their emphasis on eliminating immediate threats like criminals, mutants, and dangerous artifacts has helped in keeping the Zone somewhat under control and preventing widespread chaos. Furthermore, expecting Duty to possess the same level of scientific understanding as other factions is unreasonable, as each group in the Zone plays a different role based on their strengths and priorities. Duty's commitment to protecting innocent lives and maintaining stability should not be undervalued simply because they are not experts in scientific research or anomaly studies. In essence, while their lack of in-depth knowledge may limit their ability to address certain aspects of the Zone, it does not diminish the crucial role they play in safeguarding the inhabitants and preventing widespread catastrophe.
All the faction rankings can be argued, with the military being the only exception. Cant keep stalkers out of the zone, cant keep the russians out of ukraine.. they really do suck 😂
Video made by not likely a mutant, 100% an anarchist, maybe even a bandit. You will not stop Dutys truimphant march towards saving the planet. Move Duty to S or dislike, also no entrance to Rostok for you 😡
Why you put monolith in S tier ? C-con failed miserably, their goal was to make world better but it became extremely worse ,and monolith as a faction is almost entirely exterminated by the end of the game .
Bro really ranked bandits ( arguably the weakest faction in the game ) higher than duty and loners and mercs, and put clearsky, a faction that stopped existing in S tier, what a joke of a list.
Useless video for I think you taking weird perspective with the loners or monolith farings and you changing perspective on different factions, but thanks for opinion I guess

Its silly how people think freedomers are worthless when they defend the barrier from monolith, the best geared and one of the strongest fighters in the zone being fanatical. Well, i truly like them taking the best aspects of ecologists and the military aspect of how they should actually be
But in my opinion... for example: in anomaly, they literally butchered clear sky for me, that might be in part for the fact that no one has any idea of how go around the lore of their end as they where, so they are basically clueless and have no goal whatsoever anymore as before, so it makes me kinda sad...
Back to the mercs i guess...
People seethe over clear sky because the game they come from
@@dmytrogalan1005 Makes sense though, their leadership and visionaries died.
The ones left try to keep the spirit of their ideals going but lack the competency or vision to do it fully.
It's a melancholic group to be part of in Anomaly. I like it.

S tier for next video: obviously monolith
Bandits #1!!!!
CHEEKI BREEKI
Isnt freedom an anarchist commune of hippies? Im more of a merc man myself but i have to say, freedom are cool guys
Mercs should be A tier, I like the weapons they can get and armor plus it’s cool disguising yourself as other factions to get intel and progress through the storu
"A basic removal of free will from all people... So that kinda sucks!" 😂
Monolith in S tier just satisfied Mr very much
I think the Ecologists should go up because they are both necessary in story progression and play large rolls in it
But more importantly their research of the zone and the like leads to the highest odds of surviving the zone itself instead of the humans within it.
10:00 as of the latest Stalker 2 trailer we know Scar is still kicking
Some of the worst writing imo was the mercenaries, they got written as comic book villains that do no good, stalker 2 takes care of that a bit by morphing ex-ones into dawn, which is cool
I like your point of view but personally imo I love merc, to me it makes tons of sense. War definitely has a side that is related to business so it only makes sense that guns for hire would flock over to zone regardless of back story or origin with the promise of financial gain
@@arcane3419 that parts fine, just the total lack of self preservation outside of the job and supposedly mercs being useless with anomalies and such as a weakness is not being trained in the zones phenomenon, which no one is spare UKM really, the mercenary part totally makes sense though, one of my favorite factions the writing just hurts them
@@LewisB3217 where did you read that? I read that merecenarys get hired for a variety of zone related tasks from assasinations to hunting due to their high success rate
@@Sprottel_SFM assassination isn’t a zone related task, but yeah, I more so mean understanding anomalies and such, they’re apparently not experienced in it (no one is)

My tier list
S: clear sky, freedom, duty
A: loners, monolith
B: bandits
C: military, eco
D: renegade, mercenaries
Nah bandits are S tier. Cheeki Breeki intensifies
S: Loners, Freedom, Clear Sky
A: Duty, Mercenaries
B: Military, Eco
C: Monolith
D: Bandits and Renegades
casually freedom and duty in the same category
I would put the Bandits at least one tier lower due to the fact that their goal is to make money and they're clearly terrible at that because they're all hungry and starving all the time.
freedom being over duty is gonna summon a fight
"Duty's goals are to keep the zone from expanding and combat the mutants"
By both those metrics, Duty are a colossal failure
freedumb doooty best faction
Clear Sky's goal is kinda the same as Ecologist's. It's all about knowledge and stop the expansion of the Zone. But Ecologist does it for money
Agreed Clear Sky is the only faction that makes the most sense. Don't sell the artifacts to the government, rather give them to the STALKERS.
Up yours, we Monolithians are not brainwashed, only the grunts are. Canon fodder is because you guys won't stay out of the center.

After tachenko's death, duty didn’t progress any further

And I'm still poor so that's accurate c tier :***(
I’m starting to see trend with the placement and thoughts of the mercs
For me
S : Monolith, Mercs, UNISG
A : Duty, Freedom
B : Loner, Clear Sky, Bandits
C : Military, Ecologist
D : Renegades

Truly based opinions in one video
Duty is #1 faction, It's so stupid that it just is.
Ok but which ones look the coolest? (By how their members look like with their faction uniforms(
I love being a Merc idk.. I will forever be a Merc

Clear Sky forever >:3
