For some reason, this refuses to work for me. When I'm done flashing, the share partition shows up at only 512mb. No tool lets me resize it to reallocate. Even then, when reformatting the tiny 512mb partition to exfat and putting it back in the device, when putting it back into the pc, it wont let me access the share partition.
You're not supposed to change it yourself, it automatically sets it up. Batocera reallocates the rest of the space for you to use on the first boot of the device.
@@TeamPandory I already let it do it itself and it allocate the whole space to the partition. It literally just doesn't allocate the space. It only allocated 512mb and the rest just sits there.

Actually, I think the stock OS is better. I use GBA Sega Rally as my test game. Koriki cannot play it at speed, no matter what emulator is used, even with overclocking the system. Garlic has trouble with it too. But Anbernic's stock OS runs it fine, without tweaks. In playing Dead or Alive on PS1, there is sound tearing from Koriki and Garlic, but not from the stock OS. I don't deny that Koriki and Garlic can play games that the stock OS can't, but IMO, it's pretty pathetic when a system can't properly run a GBA game. Try it for yourself. Both Garlic and Koriki need some serious updating!

There are no commercial games coming with Batocera OS releases as this would set the whole project at risk of being legally banned. But there are a few free games included, compiled fnatively for the hardware. The RG35XX self if you mean this, comes with an SD card and a lot of games. But it's recommended to swap both OS and games for getting the most out of the RG35XX.
Whats your thoughts on battery life with batocera? I want to try it to see if i can play mariokart ds / matio kart on n64, but ive heard the battery life isnt great. Is that just with demanding games, or have you even noticed much of an issue with battery from batocera?
Wouldn't even bother with ds, but yes, I think it's a mix between playing more demanding games that drains the battery more. That, and the anbernic devices usually don't do that great Vs the competition. The miyoo and retroid can probably cream this for endurance, even when using stock firmware.
@@TeamPandory if you look into it theres a few videos showing mario kart ds playing very smoothly actually. my biggest hopes for this system is either MKds or Mk64 playability along with smash bros. anyway thanks for response, would you be able to give an estimate of what battery life is like? like 1-2 hrs depending on games played or what?
@@MrNiceTy yeah maybe... Still I'd rather play these more demanding systems on hardware that can actually handle most of the library. As for battery life, I couldn't really say. It depends wildly on what system you're emulating, but on ps1 I think you'd get around 4-5 hours. N64...Maybe just under 2
@@MrNiceTy we actually tested a load of handhelds for battery life on ps1 half a year back, but a video never came out of it. Retroid pocket 3+ and miyoo mini really did lead the pack with well over 8 hours battery life

Batocera has a few more emulators available like n64, Dreamcast etc. Onionos is only available on the Miyoo, but if you mean garlicos, then I think people may prefer that due to the easy user experience. All user preference tbh.

@@anthonytuccillo6274 Miyoo Mini Plus. John Luke plays Transplant on the Amiga. He insists on being player two.
Is it possible to add a saturn core just to see how it runs?
Probably, but it's going to be worse than terrible re: frame rate... Down to single digits I think.
@@TeamPandory I'd still love to see it/try it, I just wanna see if Sega rally is even remotely playable lol even if 5 fps
Can you test this on rg35xx sp
is it's garlicOS default system on rg35x when we buyed it?
No. It's ... Whatever it is os. Um. Anbernic miyoo mini .. kinda.
Hey, thx for the Video. I have a Problem with Nintendo ds, IT shows always that there is no bios, i have the v34 bios Pack loaded in the Files. Do you have a fix for that ? Thx to you.
does this work on the 2024 version
You need to use the other file on the GitHub, but I think the process is the same.
@@TeamPandory OK thx
So you need to pay for Partition wizard? i installed the os but the thing costs 59 bucks a year
No. Use the free version
@@TeamPandory sorry for the back and fourth but to change it into fat, it wants you to get pro
@@enzokim946 are you converting it, or just formatting ? A solid formatting the partition shouldn't need to pay for anything.
Oh it works now, thanks. But how do you switch os
@@enzokim946 once shutdown, change microsd. Turn on
So I wanna get this for my brother but I want it to play NDS games. Is batocera the only option? I don't like how complicated it is to put games on it
There are a couple more custom firmwares on the RG35XX, but we haven't tested them yet. ... Can't even remember the names 😂 Google "RG35XX cfw" something will appear and give you the options. Tbh batocera isnt that difficult to add games to. Give it a try 😉
Whats better garlic os or batocera?
They're both pretty different. Batocera is definitely more refined, but garlicos is for one that needs to jump in and out of games quickly.
Does Batocera have RetroAchievement integration?
Batocera does, but you will need an active internet connection which the RG35XX doesn't have.
@@TeamPandory thanks for the fast reply. Imma need WiFi lol.
does this work on a powkiddy rgb20s?
Will they make it work for Miyoo Mini Plus?
Won’t let me… says I got no space in the “/dev/disk/“ what is that? How do I make space? Someone please help me quick….
When did that happen? Sounds like you need a bigger... Microsd ?
I have a 4gb with no data on it
For some reason it says I’m short
By 255 mb
Also I’m using mac
@TeamPandory SO can i Play pokemon black 2, diamond, Platinum etc. On batocera??
What bomberman is in the video?
Either Bomberman 94 on the pcengine, or mega Bomberman for the megadrive.
Anyone got Syncthing working? How about the public web interface? Mine will not accept a connection but pings well enough.
so i got everything to work minus the ports. am2r does not show up (it did at one point but is no longer there)
Hi there ihave a unit on my own. But it isnt turning on but everytime I pluggedit in my pc via usb c windows will detect a device but nothing shows up% just wondering is there any way to fix it? Or isit junk by now?😂
Sounds like it needs charging. Plug it into a 2a 5v smartphone charger and leave it for a bit
@@TeamPandory eventho the screen heats up abit after 15mins of charging? The green indicator as well doesn't seem to show up
@@ameeusic yes. It heats up as the battery is in there. Did it ever work? Might be best asking anbernic or the reseller about this
@@TeamPandory it did work tbh but then i tried playing tekken and it got stucked n i reset it but after that it kinda doesn't power up anymore? Im so weirded out even did the garlicOS thingy but yet to succeed on powering it 😅🥲
@@ameeusic how long did you charge it for? Could be a battery issue, contact anbernic
Bro change the link in the description to Batocera since it directs to H/Plus version
Are there already games inside?
N64...Maybe just under 2
@@TeamPandory fair enough. eventually I'll prob get the rg353v. and dang okay. thats alot more battery life than i expected.
@@MrNiceTy we actually tested a load of handhelds for battery life on ps1 half a year back, but a video never came out of it. Retroid pocket 3+ and miyoo mini really did lead the pack with well over 8 hours battery life
Is 16Gb memory card enough to install Batocera OS in Anbernic?
It should be enough, but you won't have a lot of space for games
Does the Amiga work? On batocera rg35xx
Slowly, but we've yet to try the later builds of the custom firmware
@@TeamPandory thanks. I am looking for information on whether Amiga works on any cfw rg35xx. This is strange, because generally all cheap handhelds, Amiga work badly or not at all. And more demanding games like PSP, PSX work. Was the Amiga more demanding?
@@richieploomba6029 surprisingly, it's at around the same level as something like the psp when you're wanting to run it well on all games, including Jim power.
I've seen videos of the RG35XX running amiga at a good speed on maybe koriki- but need to check it
would this run on miyoo mini ?
No, afraid not. But onionos is already perfect :-)
Can it play no mercy
N64 WWF game? Maybe? Tbh I'd trust a handheld with a better chip like the 3566 to run N64 Vs this
Is batocera, or onion os better?
Batocera has a few more emulators available like n64, Dreamcast etc. Onionos is only available on the Miyoo, but if you mean garlicos, then I think people may prefer that due to the easy user experience.
All user preference tbh.
@@TeamPandory how is the performance on batocera in terms if games for retro consoles such as nes, snes, and gba?
And yes, I had mistaken garlic os for onion os, sorry about that

i HAVE BEeN tRying to run MUGEN games on my RG35XX, has anyone else tried this?
I'm pretty sure mugen will need a lot more power, and would benefit if it's on a x86 platform. For the RG35XX I'd rank it under "unlikely to work", but by all means give it a go!
WTF is BATOCERA, and wtf is Etcher?
Batocera is a front end to retroarch, etcher is an img burner like win32imager... Wait... You've been around long enough to know that 🤣
@@TeamPandory - Wasn't familiar with either though, I may be behind the times...also is a front end necessary for retroarch? Doesn't it have its own built-in GUI and wouldn't a front end just slow it down? Also I find it strange that the RG35XX has so much trouble running Amiga games when I've never had any issues running them on my hacked OG Evercade...
Yes
@@JohnnyProctor9 I guess it's not really necessary if you like retroarch as it is. But I mean it's essentially emulation station like used on retropie.
@@JohnnyProctor9 I think the core is just compiled incorrectly. The miyoo mini plays Amiga much better and has a worse spec.
The unit cannot charge when turned off it will boot into batocera to charge with music loop. This is a deal breaker.
I did everithing you said but if i press the boot up butten. Nothing happens😢
