If "never sell anything people can get for free" was actually a sensible thing to say, then nobody would ever buy video editing software, audio editing software, office suites etc (pretty much any kind of PC software that isn't a video game or highly niche). You and MKBHD somehow forgot that open source software is a thing, and the vast vast VAST majority of people buy things they can get for free all the time.

I was well happy with my pro got both 5 an pro and on a 4k oled the pro with enhanced games look soooooo much better also none enhanced games didn't get the frame drops that the 5 got even in performance mode on some games that get busy. Personally I think your all wrong

In theory it is, but I don't think the screen material is durable enough for long term ownership, probably. Not that I have had any experience with any folding phones. I believe tests have shown fingernails are enough to begin to scratch them, which is not much, and for some of us that have naturally long nails it's an absolute no, hard glass screens only. Making the screen an even bigger vulnerability while still being of the same kind of material was always going to end poorly.
@@EricLing64 from my experience, the utg will end up cracking if you live in a climate where you get snow half the year. The temperature change when you use it outside, and then go inside. It's just not good for it. My zfold 2 utg cracked all along the seem. It's subtle enough, you feel it if you pass your finger on top, and luckly, it hasn't affected the actual display. But yeah. Plastic screen will end up breaking even if you take care of it. Great.

Microsoft Recall should have been number 1 by a pretty wide margin, with Apple intelligence in 2nd place. The over-hyped AI features should show how most AI is a complete scam, but I'm sure we'll have to endure even more fake AI features in the coming year. Microsoft really shat the bed with Recall, and I suspect Apple understands that 95% of these "AI features" are BS, which probably explains why they half-assed their push into AI. But Recall? A ton of people at Microsoft thought that was a good idea and showed so little respect for their customers by pushing it out. Maybe the biggest tech fail of 2024 is the massive overhyping of AI.

The PS5 Pro launch was also pretty funny - The PS5 alone simply hasn't been worth it if you already have a PS4/Pro. The Huawei phone was designed specifically for rich people who get chauffeured around in a fancy, clean car and always reside in super sanitized and clean spaces 24/7. That phone wouldn't stand a chance against any real world use (aka blue collar workers or just the average consumer).

Huawei trifold deserves some applause, at least they tried something new compared to the other fails mentioned in this video. People remember the numerous Nokia designs fondly, even if some of them were clearly very odd and unconventional. For that to happen again, companies have to try new and weird things again.

hey windows has deleted the control panel before in windows 8..it was so bad they litterally had to produce a whole new version that restored the control panel in windows 8.1 so I suspect the control will be back soon enough.

hey windows has deleted the control panel before in windows 8..it was so bad they litterally had to produce a whole new version that restored the control panel in windows 8.1 so I suspect the control will be back soon enough.
