- This short Qigong sequence is a combination of a few practices Tao Yin Qigong and Qigong body tapping technique. The movements are designed to aid blood circulation in the upper back and release muscle tension from the neck and shoulders so we feel good and relaxed. The back of my head throbs afterwards. Could it just be blood circulation?
I developed chronic back and neck pain from years of poor habits. Qigong with you everyday has been a gentle, effective way to restore myself to health. I love the 5-10 minute videos as I can easily string several of these practices throughout my day, integrating gigong fully into my every day life.
I have always been fairly inflexible with poor posture. I have tried other exercises and techniques to no avail. This simple video relaxed those tight places well and I will be returning to it. It is also wonderful self-care in a time when the human touch we all need is severely limited or nonexistent. Thank you!
This is great short workout for the neck & upper back it really helps. I usually like a longer workout but when you're short on time this one really does work. Thanks!!!!

There can be many reasons, and if it's causing you big discomfort I would recommend asking your doctor. Another thing, is to pay attention when it happens, is it after breathing or after stretching the muscles of the neck. Best wishes,

I have neck and shoulder pain, so I am keen to learn what Qigong could do to help. But no way could I get my hands high enough to tap the back of my neck as directed here. A pity.
Shall try this in 12 hours, shoulder ligament tear at worst to repair.
How to healing neck pain
I struggle with concentrating on long breath at the same time doing the movements.
it's just practice. Keep your breath natural, without changing it to much to begin with. Focus on just hearing your breath
