Hey there.... I used 2K high gloss Clear coat.... You have to polish to just about Clear and then spray them 3 coats.... an your good for several years. and maybe you should have painted the inside the white bracket black....

Impressive work. As another mentioned, I’m less confident working with the electronics - so many points of failure. Plus, knowing enough to augment, bypass, cut, and modify requires a pretty sound knowledge foundation … and patience.
Whilst I commented on Part 2 that your method of ripping off the lens wasn’t so pretty, the whole mod and wiring instructions were definitely Master Class. The result is super cool.
I’m thinking that I’ll let my son try this out and I’ll stick to the mechanics.

This is honestly so incredibly cool! I had no idea you could make the led strip blink. I really want to do this, but I don’t feel comfortable at all with electronics. I can do most mechanical stuff, but I feel useless when it comes to this kind of stuff :(

Don't you think those LED strips are waay too bright, possibly even blinding in some cases?

Remember cameras adjust for brightness on the fly. I plan on turning off the brightness adjustment and shooting some footage of how bright they actually are. They do throw light around and they are bright, but not blindly so. They're about the same as modern luxury car DRLs.
