Thanks for the vid. Trying to build up courage for removing the front bumper and replacing a ballast on the driver side. Had the ballast replaced a while ago. A month later the low beam went out again and I noticed water getting into the headlight. Assuming that's the issue again.
On the 08+ 9-3 like this the ballast is under the headlight. Waterproof sealed unit. Unless water is shorting out the terminals from insight the light...

Can you explain to me the purpose of baking the headlamp?
Loosens the glue holding the lense on.
Do you maybe have a clue why my '07 9-3 Aero Sportswagon (YS3F II) doesn't seem to have the swiveling headlights? Does that feature need to be turned on somewhere or is it only avaible for newer models?
I believe that was 2008 model year and up only, but I may be misremembering.

damn...that sux….thanx 4 strut bearing vid....used it to change my coil overs.... my passenger headlight blew 4 days ago … so thx again ! ….. have identical car in titan grey....talked to matt (esaab) , u where correct about the 93x suspension....wound up doing stock ..all four sides.. any other way to contact you ? good luck with this project... ill be watching

Ive got the same year Saab, except I have the 4 door sedan. Even the same color. The stock headlights are absolutely horrible on those cars. The first upgrade I did when I bought that car was replace the headlights and converted to LED.
Ive seen some of the comments arguing that you downgraded, lol... they must not know the dumpster lights that come stock in those cars.
If you don't care about scratches on a car that people will not see again man give me the car!

Do you understand what a projector retrofit is? Did you watch all the parts?
There is ZERO reason to retrofit the projectors in these headlights, you essentially ruined very expensive headlights for no gain at all. You could have easily just swapped bulbs and made a better upgrade,
Not true at all. Watch a later part of the series. The lense and reflector bowls are trash on the stock lights. The performance and light output is much better now and still working fine as of March 2021.
