    We had a busy week filming 3 reveals last week! This one definitely surprised us the most! We do want to clarify, we stated in the video the base 2.0T engine makes 295 HP, the actual number is 250 HP and 275 lb-ft of torque. Lincoln initially told us the higher number but their press release says the lower number. Makes more sense to us since the Hybrid now makes an additional 60 Hp versus the non-hybrid.

      LOL. Who do you think inspired Ford on this redesign? The interior of this new Nautilus is straight out of the *production model Cadillac Celestiq* whose design language will trickle down into the rest of the Cadillac lineup.
      This is Ford’s attempt at beating the newly redesigned Cadillac XT5/XT6 to market with Cadillac’s own interior design language. I’m sure Cadillac is flattered by this, and you can thank GM for this redesign.

    • @The-fs5wn
      @The-fs5wn Рік тому +1

      @@mybro727 the design work was all finished on this long before the Celestiq came out or was even teased. You have zero clue what you are talking about. 2024 is just the release date. Besides, that “production car” (which they will only make 300 of and is so modular and customizable it might as well be called a low tier coach build) costs 300k dollars, and it looks ugly. It may have a tech advantage over Rolls and Bentley, but I am willing to bet it won’t be nearly as luxurious or comfortable, given that it doesn’t even have air suspension to start.

    • @stephencooper3583

      @@The-fs5wn ... I believe Caddy was first with the long screen. Not to production maybe, but they unveiled the Celestiq concept in 2022. Personally I don't love the look of the Celestiq. I think they should've went with the look of the Escala concept. But what do I know? It's not like I could afford it anyway. 😆
      For the original post, you can pretty much assume the XT5/6 will take design cues from the upcoming Vistiq and Optiq electrics. They have previews on their webpage. Those also have the wrapround screens, same as the new Escalade IQ electric. I'd expect similar design - if not identical.
      Anyway, I want to see both brands do well. Glad to see that both are stepping up.

    Proportionally, Lincoln nailed it. It doesn't look as station-wagon-y as the Aviator, and certainly a drastic step up from the previous generation Nautilus. I love how Lincoln mixed luxury and sport very well, even on the top dog Black Label. As to the interior, consider me stunned. Yes, the screens are nice and immediately make the Escalade's screens seem tame, but the overall interior environment is seriously upscale. I have to give Lincoln kudos on the red w/gray instead of red w/black. It makes the interior seem bigger and less dark.
    I wish Lincoln would've kept the 2.7T V6 over going full turbo 4. And I hope that a model is available with more than 310hp as that seems a step back and this vehicle will likely have gained weight with adding the hybrid system. Overall, I think Lincoln has a far higher level of product execution in design than Lexus. This has so much presence.

I would also say this, Lincoln sales are tanking fast, they need a large 4 door sedan (maybe bring back the Continental which is still offered in China). I feel that many Automakers have forced the American public into Crossovers/SUV's. I LOVE this redesign! Not a big fan of the giant screen dash though. I also think it's a miss to not offer the 2.7L V6 anymore, unless the hybrid proves to be more swift than it's numbers suggest and can tow as much as the last gen 2.7.

    I’m usually not a fan of huge screens all over the place, but I’m really digging this interior design. They took ‘screen’ and actually made it different and interesting. The only item I’m not crazy about is the huge center console cover. I think it would’ve looked nicer if the cupholders and phone charger were just integrated into the consul without a large cover. The cover will just stay open the whole time exposing all the black plastic inside.

    After looking at more and more videos of it, I really like the exterior. I think it's Lincoln's best. The roof is not quite as sloped as the Aviator, avoiding the corny wagon look side profile of the Aviator. The interior however is still something I think most buyers will either love or hate......instantly. Have you ever reviewed a car that doesn't have a solid sounding thunk when you close the door?

      They won't, this is standard on current cars. Nautilus and Aviator both have terrible hoods that move at speeds because of the wind only, and terrible latches. They stick on plenty plastic things onto the sides of their cars, and often these aren't properly fitted either,

    For some people making guesses about the motor. It has been developed by VW's components division (that has been making electric motors for ten years). It will be made by the same division. 550 in the motor's name is the maximum torque of 550 Nm. The actual torque will vary somewhat depending on the specific vehicle. VW released information about this motor to the media in early April. The press release does not provide a specific percentage of the improved energy efficiency.

    I'm a Toyota person; mostly because of they are early introducers of new technology. But having said that, I'm looking forward to testing the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. Their interior and exterior design and execution are elegant. It looks great. I only wish that the Lincoln -- all Lincolns -- had the digital rear view mirror which allows the driver to have different looks of what is behind you; wide screen, normal, close up, etc. Then if they went further, it would also be great if their side mirrors were also digital and would automatically give you a wide screen view when the turn signal was activated; thus eliminating the blind spot.

    • @leochen887
      @leochen887 Рік тому

      There's more. From the digital rear view mirror they could also add imminent collision warning if a car suddenly cuts in front, or an alert pops up that traffic has started to move again, along with an audio ping (in case you have been paying attention to your phone while waiting for cars to start moving again). This is all part of giving the driver a constant Situational Awareness status. On 95 North in northern Virginia with 5 lanes open in each direction and it's bumper to bumper at 75 mph, you have to have your A Game on to avoid an accident! Personally, I drive in the most right hand lane so that I don't have to worry about who is coming up on my right.
