I like your guys reviews, some of the best I have seen on UA-cam - helped us make a decision to buy an MDX a couple months back. I think you guys missed something very important on the Acura, it makes your list as it should but it is the least expensive SUV on the list. Less than 1/2 the price of some of the others. Acura's SH-AWD is one of the best AWD systems on the market which is important in this segment. The fact that they are keeping the V6 is a huge plus as turbo's have issues down the road. Gas mileage isn't that great, but as good or better than most AWD vehicles of this size. The track pad isn't a thing, you still have buttons for heat and the things you use most, you only use the track pad to use the Nav or change radio stations, it is very easy to get used to, and a plus, if you put your finger in a corner, you are highlighting that button, so quick and easy to get used to. I like the piano black.. But most important, the interior is very comfortable. We looked at other SUV's but the ones on your list are above many peoples budgets...
AGREE! We bought the '24 Acura MDX Spec. Enough power and sporty as heck. GREAT Sound system too! Value is hard to beat. We call ours the "Carbon Cuda!!!!"
I LOVE my 2021 X5 xdrive 40i, it is the best! I can't ever imagine a better vehicle...I'm sure somewhere down the line I'll end up with another one! Great video, always love hearing your thoughts. Happy New Year!
Regarding the X5, just in from Car and Driver: “The X5 and X6, despite recent updates, were both down by double-digit percentages compared with 2022, while the X3 and X4 were down too, but by smaller margins.” The bigger they are the harder they fall.
I have a GLE350, and I love it! I use it as my winter driver to commute to work in NYC and to run errands on my days off. That 2.0 Turbo 4 has just the right amount of power for my needs. In the driver's seat, you have everything at hand and where it is supposed to be. The rear seats are roomy, and the cargo space is plenty.
I thought the 350 was pretty peppy myself, but that’s a lot of money for that smaller motor. I was thinking about the 450 with the in-line six but you’re saying that the four-cylinder is OK in traffic and such
First time on the channel, I like the way all the Pros and Cons are discussed and lists out prices for both Canada and the US so we don't have to jump on to every brands website to find out. Great video
I can't believe you did not include a Genesis GV80, I upgraded from a Mercedes ML 350 two years ago. Back then my final choices were the Genesis, the 450GLE, and the BMW X5. The Genesis was the best of the group...better options, better ride, better comfort, better safety features and it was at least $25,000 less than the other two vehicles. I've driven the GV80 almost 20K and it is by far the best vehicle that I have ever owned in my 35 years of driving. And the added benefit I get close to 35 mpg, with 30 mpg on the highway....
Genuinely surprised that the Genesis GV80 and Infiniti QX60 did not make it over the MDX. While your initial review of the MDX stated it may be a perfect mid SUV, you seem to like the Genesis and Infiniti over it and even said you'd prefer the Infiniti. Maybe the addition of the Type-S to the MDX lineup changed your mind, but I am pleased it made your list. I test drove it and loved it, even over the X5 40i (without M Package).
@@twfinc6855 I was strictly going by their reaction in their review of the QX60. But I am surprised to hear of your feedback as I’ve never heard other complaints of it being rough and noisy.
You get what you pay for... new is always worth it. The reason for depreciation is that those first 20K to 30K miles are the best, least expensive, and most reliable miles a vehicle will ever have. It may seem like a good deal, and in some cases it might be, but mainly, you are paying the actual value at initial purchase and at 3 to 4 to 5 years in. These values are set by the market place, which is VERY ACCURATE as to value. Buying older cars is an initial savings, but you pay for it in repairs down the road.
@@annenominous7220I have a certified Avalon that has had one repair in 10 yrs. The math says that someone else paid that depreciation while I invest the 30k I saved and still get a good car.
I'd prefer ranking, not alphabetically…just saying:). My next car…I'm torn between the RDX (needs to change the track pad though), the Lexus NX, or the Lexus RX (if I can afford it lol).
I think you should go with the RDX not only will you not be breaking the bank with the RDX but the smooth 10 speed is just simply amazing it’s comfortable and actually not boring to drive it’s quite fun especially if you get the A-Spec, and I’ve heard from many people even myself with experience with Acuras that the touchpad should not be a deal breaker it’s very easy to get used to.
Love the Rx 350! The hybrid version is great as well. Very luxurious, yes lacks power if that's high on your priority list, but I'm ok cruising around in a very quiet, high end, reliable vehicle. The Mark Levinson surround sound is clear and crisp and perfectly leveled. Still handles great and the technology has been much improved. The giant 14' screen is a big win! If budget wasn't an issue I'd love to try the Porsche Cayenne S!
Yes there is a market for these. But...the prices are just getting absurd. I am really skeptical that with all the emphasis on electrification and cutting edge technology - on so many new vehicles - quality is going to plummet.
Having just watched "The Ghost Writer" movie last night, by chance, I noticed how perfect the BMW X5 "looked" in that 2010 movie compared to this thing you reviewed today. While I am sure the car and tech are much improved, still, like Porsche sports car: if you Have "the look", why change it? Love your reviews.
I love my 2017 Rx it still looks great to this day and modern at that. So reliable I’ve never had any issues. I have the hybrid which delivers great fuel economy and while it might not be on the faster side it definitely gets the job done. Underrated for sure.
Very good honest review. I would classify these more as full-size SUVs. I don’t think they really fall in the mid size category. Maybe you have another video that compares the next smaller size down. Midsize SUVs don’t have a third row seats. At least I never thought of them that way
Volvo SC60 plug in hybrid with the Ultra trim beautifully crafted by Volvo I'm typically a Lexus man but this time I might be seriously considering this 2025 gen Volvo, I fully loaded one on the Volvo configurator comes out at 69000 UK Pounds that was absolutely loaded with all the best options ZF 8 speed auto, great mpg and 455hp on tap!
It would be nice if you started telling us what car you’re sitting in during these coffee, questions and cars segments. I love a nice panoramic sunroof! 😊
I thought the Genesis would rank a little higher than honourable mention, honestly. Mercedes should be ashamed of their CR score on the GLE though. When you're paying the premiums you are for these vehicles, they should greatly outperform the non-premium models.
Meh, I don't pay attention to CR. Their ratings have never coincided with my personal car choices. Sure, I might rely on them for a dishwasher, but not a car. I think the GLE is a truly top performing car, marred by reliability concerns. But those reliability concerns are mostly software/electronic, nothing that will leave you stranded from what I know.
I really appreciate the information you all share in your videos. Thank you! Do you have a 3-row luxury SUV top picks video? I couldn't find one and I'm really looking for luxury but bigger than these mid-size SUVs.
I always have like the Porsche models very sporty look and the sound but have not drive one, I hope one day soon. Thanks to You GUYS for a very informative video of all the vehicles you mention, always learning something new.
Excellent comparison’s, have owned Acura and Mercedes SUV’s and like both. Interested in moving to Porsche S but trouble pulling the trigger on the higher price. In the end I will buy safety, reliability, affordability and luxury, that leaves MB or Porsche.. great show that provides an unbiased information that I can understand and use for future planing. Thanks again.
Porches are very reliable, more than some Lexus. Only issue is expensive repairs when they do come. JD power ranks them at 87 #1 on the lists., as for Mercedes it’s a hit or miss I know the 2018-2021 Mercedes gle are horrible and the later models are starting to improve.
We love our ‘21 Audi Q7! If not for the technology quirks, it would be the perfect SUV! Test drove most of these but the Q7 was just the best all around performer for these two senior citizens!
@@Wisdom7Inothing is different on our ‘21 than the new models. Exactly the same except the new models can’t get all the options we have our ‘21 Prestige.
I test drove every car in this segment, and I ended up purchasing an MDX Type S Advance. It's not perfect, but it checks all the boxes that I wanted at a decent price point compared to its rivals. Granted, I got mine for about 10% off MSRP.
I like the RX and the MDX. I also think the Infiniti QX60 should be a good recommendation. The X5 was considered one of the worse SUVs by most UA-cam reviewers in reliability and driving dynamics.
@@mrgurulittle7000 I have not seen any negative reviews, and the professional reviewers all give high praise. Consumer Reports ranks the BMW X3 and X5 as their No. 1 choices in luxury SUVs. UA-cam Car Confections highly praises X5 and calls it the quietest SUV ever rated with a smooth incredible ride. Motormouth UA-cam puts it in their top five.
Excellent video! You guys are spot on with the top list: I love the Porsche turbo gt and really appreciate your mention about Range Rover reliability. Thanks 🙏
Any of those cars, I buy one or 2 years old at most (certified). The MDX will be the best resale when your ready for the next MDX 3-4 years later. The last MDX we had cost us $7k to drive nearly 5 years and 65k miles. Not to mention, the service side at Acura was very very good to us. A couple of those other manufactures need to go back to school on customer service.
I bought Infiniti QX60 yesterday after watching your mdx vs QX60 video. I'm sad it wasn't on this list. I feel like I've been mislead by you guys feeling sorry for the underdog😢
The Q7, exterior, is getting long in tooth but they completely redid the interior and it keeps pace with all the modern Audis from an interior perspective. It’s actually more modern than the recent Q5.
Hey Zach and Andrea, got one small suggestion for you, when you talk specs, please, PLEASE add those onto a screen as you do with price and fuel consumption data 😊 love your channel and the content!
Hmm, I mean the info about an engine on the screen. I rewatched it again and still couldn't find it, I'm talking about horse power, torque, displacement and whatnot. You talk about it - yes, but it'd be nice if at the same time this data is visualized
I bought a MDX Advance on New Year’s Eve. Was interested in a new RX 350, but dealers in the DFW area are gouging customers. The MDX was discounted $4500. I thought I was going to hate the True Touch Interface, but got comfortable with it quickly. Of course, I wish they could transplant the new RX’s infotainment screen into it. Everything else about the vehicle is great. Then again, I may be a bit biased. This MDX is my 5th Acura. Owned a 91 Integra, 2002 and 2006 TLs, and a 2010 MDX.
the 350 is gutless.. I got the 500h.. much better and just the right size that it doesnt feel big.. X5 and GLE felt too big and the GV80 also.. I didnt like the interior in the mdx type S i drove.. my neighbor loves his though
I test drove the base RX 350 and then the NX 350, both with the 2.4 turbo. Let me tell you, the RX wins by a mile! The NX tester was much noisier, had a couple little rattles and just didn't feel near as refined. The price difference not being that great, I'd go with a base model RX any day! Beautiful ride. Yes, I would prefer to have the V6 as the turbo 4 is a little noisy when you put your foot down.
I have had my RX500h for a year now with 20k on it and not one creak or rattle.. First car I ever owned that didnt have any rattles after a year.. So far Im very impressed, its fast and nimble on the highway or around town.. Perfect size for me, and im 6'5" tall also.. I found the RX350 a bit gutless.. After coming from a Mercedes E class I couldnt go for the 350, had to be the 500 or nothing
Hi Jack and Andrea! Happy new year 🥂! I have a 2022 VW Taos 4 motion. I had ordered it from my dealer back in early 2022 (3 months production wait time). Been driving it for almost 2 yrs and really like it. I’ve seen the new 2024 Cadillac XT4 Luxury trim model and find it great looking but also very interesting for what it offers for its price. It’s so comfortable on so many levels. What are your thoughts on it compared to my Taos? Good future trade idea or, stay with the Taos? My Taos is a lease, therefore; eventually I will have to decide to either trade or buy it back.
Great choices! The fun thing about the bmw X5 is the 2024 is so much better than the 2023. The interior changes make it a top pick for sure. I ordered a 2024 as soon as I could last April and it came in 4 short weeks. Love it so much. Super nice with the m sport package added and 22 inch black wheels. The new interior sold me over the Mercedes GLE. It has been perfection since day one.
Hubby and I are looking at the 2024 BMW X5 too…..the price tho 😅 But we want to build more equity in our Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid before we bite the bullet and make a trade.
Great list! I looked at most of these ended up going with the Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. Dealership was able to discount MSRP alot. They also offered 5k more for my trade-in than any other dealership. Only slightly worried about reliability. Fingers crossed
I actually like the Acura touchpad. Easy to use and not having a touch screen keeps it clean MDX is the most bang for buck in the luxury midsize segment. Exterior looks are a major plus as well.
I would love to have a discussion with you about Acura’s touch pads. But I don’t want or need another message app . First time I’ve heard of the Telegram app.
Wait! I thought you preferred the Infiniti QX60 over the Acura! I have owned he QX60 for a year. It’s perfect …I’ve put 18,000 miles on it. Mostly driving the ski resorts. Haven’t had any issues. Love the entertainment system…touch screen. That a Accura touch pad would drive me nuts
Great choices of top 5's and honorable mentions. Not a big fan of piano black fantastic plastics - not a fan of that haptic feedback touch panels. I'll stick w/my 2017 Audi Q7 w/buttons,control wheel & trackpad. Plus it's tuning options that unlocks the additional power that it's 3.0T is capable (especially supercharged CREC motor) - gives you enough 'oomphf' passing power when you need it that beats it's turbocharged engine upgrade from 2018 to present. All turbocharged engines produce so much unwanted heat causing more breakdown and wear, that you must do your oil changes early to keep a healthy engine and extend their longevity.
Hello,I always enjoy watching your reviews and Iike how you go in details and pricing. I am planning for Mercedes GLC 300 2024 but stuck between the regular and coupe. Can you please make a review between 2 cars.?thank you and much appreciated.
What about the mid-size Toyota Hybrid SUV's? Similar quality to the Lexus, and many of the features of the SUV's you mentioned, and typically significantly better record of reliability, with the bonus of better holding their resale value. Another bonus is their fuel economy approaches and often exceeds that of compact SUV's and Cars... Need another bonus - Prices significantly less than several of your SUV's... They typically out-sell most of the models you mentioned, which confirms which ones the consumers actually prefer...
I wonder why the new Mazda CX90 didn't make your list? We opted for the 2024 Acura MDX ASpec. GREAT car! Enjoying it a lot. Fun to drive and an awesome sound system. Sporty as heck too!
Because it's not a "luxury" vehicle. I have a cx-9 Carbon. Most everyone who has gotten in initially says "This is too nice to be a Mazda". I sat in the CX-90 during a service visit. The interior was even better, except for the new stupid BMW ish shifter
I drove them both and picked the MDX. The QX60 is better for someone looking for a more trucky SUV, and MDX is more car-like. I liked the interior and infotainment system in the QX60 better. But the final decision came down to Acura's superior reliability. Even though I hate the infotainment system. Just sucks.
We have had an X5 M50i and a Q7 before. Wife recently test drove the QX60 Autograph and I would pick it ahead of half of this list. The build quality and look is ahead of of most of them.
QX60 is very cheap and outdated inside, yes, it still looks more or less aggressive from the front, but everything else is just late 2010s.And lastly,it is not built good, believe me,I was working in Nissan/Infinity dealership.
@@BmwAlfa123 I drove all of them... The infiniti was disappointing.. it hits bumps hard and you hear a lot of road noise.. I bought the RX500h it was a LOT nicer.. overall refinement was far superior, but also more $$
@@twfinc6855 absolutely not. With the RX you can tell that its a rebadged Toyota. Too many similarities unlike the Infiniti and Pathfinder. Lastly, RX is not even in the same class. Its a class below the QX60.
Hi guys, watch your channel and enjoy it tremendously, wealth of knowledge and common sense. A have a question for you as experts and long time PC owners. I currently drive MY 22 Macan GTS loaded and love this SUV. Need a bit bigger car/ I am 6.3/220/ and torn between 24 Cayenne S vs 24 SQ8, similar engine, size and manufacturing. Priority ride quality, prestige, driver seat comfort. Love both exteriors, absolutely hate PC gear shifter and stupid rails. Please advice, regards Alex P.S. I live in Fl, therefore AWD system quality not critical.
79,000 for Cayenne in US, while I’m here in Ireland at least 110,000 euro for ultra base e hybrid model lol ironically being in the continent that the car comes from makes no odds
Want to try asking this for the next QC&C but what do you guys think of the 330e? I want a sedan, can't stand SUV's, and the PHEV for my well within range to and from work commute. Is the G20 platform as reliable as it seems? I've done some homework and I don't see any glaring issues with the current 2.0L akin to Audi's EA888 gen 3 water pump issue (have an A3, love it, tuned it, but it's getting a bit aged).
Our neighbour has one and absolutely loves it, he's had it for about a year now. He put a Level 2 charger in his garage so he can charge it often. He says, he rarely buys gas.
So much of the purchasing decision for any of these vehicles depends on the lease rate, financing rate and residual or how much the vehicle depreciates over 3-5 years. In addition, how does maintenance cost affect your ownership experience. I love the Mercedes vehicles, and have owned 5 of them from new. However, it seemed like I could never leave the dealership for service under $1000 in Canada. For these reasons, I believe the Acura and Lexus are miles ahead of their German competitors.
Guys, those quality scores are for initial quality (first 90 days I believe) and first 3 years. Basically meaningless for anyone other than leasees. A 6 year score would be A LOT more meaningful, telling a more complete picture of a vehicle's real quality.
The thing about quality scores is they change model to model year to year. We have a neighbour interested in a used Macan and I pulled al the numbers for him year to year and recommended which model years to look at based on reliability. If you are buying used you should really look at each year to investigate any issues. For those who are leasing, these scores don't mean a lot, they just want the vehicle. If they have any issues, it will be under warranty and they plan to give it back after 3 or 4 years and either get a new one from the same brand or move on to another. These scores we provide are just a guide.
12:54 I know I’m probably in the minority but I really don’t like that MB interior with A/C vents front and center. I think luxury cars should do a better job at hiding those vents.
The XC60 Recharge is well done, it has a refined drive, quiet cabin, an upscale interior and it has some good range. However, reliability isn't the best.
2023 J D Power US vehicle survey: Volvo is below average, yes (16% worse than the industry average), but let’s be fair, better than VW (apologies Zack), Audi (apologies Zack), Mercedes, and Tesla. And Porsche has only 3% better reliability, a wash. I have 24,000 miles of Recharge experience, no drivetrain issues. Software issues yes . . . but not that unusual for ANY new car. A 1998 V70 bought new, 3 pedals, still rates a spot in the garage.
Its just driving me insane by looking at the prices nowadays. I remember MDX was within 50 - 59 000 $ CAD just less than 5 years ago and it is over 100 000$ CAD now, and it`s when average person income in Canada ranges between 3000 to 5000 $/ month. I haven`t noticed my salary going up 2 times more in those 5 years, unlike car`s prices.
Well I think the Q7 is till it for me; especially before Audi finally refreshes it because just like other brands Audi is now a big fan of black shiny plastics...
Ive owned 3 infinitis in the past, the new Qx60 I like the look but it was rough over bumps and has a lot of road noise. I was disappointed when I drove it last year... And your suprised to see the RX and MDX? The RX is nicer than the MDX.. Not quite as big but nicer overall inside and much more refined. The RX is way better than the QX60. Also the bose sound system sucks.
I drove the MDX, Infiniti Qx60, X5, GLE, and Genesis Gv80 and Gv70....... I bought the RX500h.. Its a big step over the last gen, I love the quick power delivery, I love the size as its not too big and zips around town awesomely, plus the torque over 400 ft lbs, its perfect for me, passes a couple of cars in seconds.. its quick... if I wanted a larger SUV I probably would have bought the Gv80, the Gv70 was quick, but not up to par interior wise... QX60 was noisy on the road, hit bumps hard.. not refined.. the GLE too big, X5 was very nice but too big Also the GLE and X5 $$$$$$$ get very expensive up over 100k very quickly ... but also has more options etc.. For me the RX500h hit all the marks.. Its not perfect but darn near... and that sound system... WOW... Very quiet and more refined and quiet than the MDX. MDX interior did not look that nice in my opinion.. Overall I think the best value was the GV80.
Some people appreciate the 70 to 80% lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to the average new ICE powered car (ref: fuel economy.gov). My 455 HP! Volvo emits 99 grams per mile vs 319 for the av new ICE. Then there’s the 100+ mpg . . . Don’t forget about preconditioning the cabin with electric, while plugged in, before you go outside. I love that.
I recently test drove the 275hp variants of both the Lexus NX & RX. I could not believe how atrocious the Lexus' were in regard to driving dynamics. Somehow they managed to make an 8-Speed Auto Trans feel very much like it's a CVT, & that's definitely not a good thing. Also the system that was on the steering column of the RX that spies on the driver was extremely annoying. That thing erroneously yelled at me like 4 times in a 10-min test drive & the salesperson couldn't figure out how to get it turned off. The Lexus seats & overall feel inside the cabin was very nice, but at the end of the day the way a car drives is critically important. The 275hp Lexus engine/transmission combo feel way slower than say, my wife's older 200hp Audi Q3. That should not be. I literally went to the Lexus dealership fairly convinced I was going to buy an NX. Ended up being a hard-pass.
I like the GLE for best pampering. The exterior look pretty dated though. The Cayenne that you’re sitting in looks like it has a huge seat hinge in the middle of the 2nd row. Is that vehicle really comfortable for 5? I’ve never ridden or even sat in one. I did sit in the MDX at the dealer and I was wholly unimpressed. Maybe I would’ve liked it more if I’d driven it. Since I didn’t care for the interior space and amount of room afforded in either of the first two rows I didn’t take it out for a spin. The rear of the X5 was less comfortable to me than the X3. The Lexus interiors are too milquetoast for me. I would only take a JLR vehicle as a rental where I knew I would be able to give it back. We look forward to these convos. Please keep them coming 🤙
This just in from car and driver: The X5 and X6, despite recent updates, were both down by double-digit percentages compared with 2022, while the X3 and X4 were down too, but by smaller margins.
For me among the choices, it would be a Lexus RX350h and my second choice would be the Acura MDX. 😁
No accounting for taste

Great review. I previously had a Cayenne S E-hybrid - that was a great driver. The new ones are SO expensive!
I cringe at the prices. I'll wait and buy used
You get what you pay for... new is always worth it.
I always buy used. Any major repair is still less than 3 car payments of $900 a month.
@@annenominous7220I have a certified Avalon that has had one repair in 10 yrs. The math says that someone else paid that depreciation while I invest the 30k I saved and still get a good car.
The smartest budgetary move is to buy 2-3 years old after a lease. Buying new causes a $5k loss as soon as you drive off the lot.
I'd prefer ranking, not alphabetically…just saying:). My next car…I'm torn between the RDX (needs to change the track pad though), the Lexus NX, or the Lexus RX (if I can afford it lol).
Both reliable and boring, not really a tough choice between them. 😂
I have a 2017 RX and I got it for reliability reasons
I like this review
Yeah what can go wrong in a tarted up Toyota Highlander! 😂
Very good honest review. I would classify these more as full-size SUVs. I don’t think they really fall in the mid size category. Maybe you have another video that compares the next smaller size down. Midsize SUVs don’t have a third row seats. At least I never thought of them that way
Why did the Infiniti QX60 not make the list? I thought you guys liked it.
It's forbidden to like or recommend Nissan/Infiniti🤐
Volvo SC60 plug in hybrid with the Ultra trim beautifully crafted by Volvo I'm typically a Lexus man but this time I might be seriously considering this 2025 gen Volvo, I fully loaded one on the Volvo configurator comes out at 69000 UK Pounds that was absolutely loaded with all the best options ZF 8 speed auto, great mpg and 455hp on tap!

@@andreaspencer9813 Thank you! I figured it was your own vehicle because it always makes it onto the videos! 😊
I thought the Genesis would rank a little higher than honourable mention, honestly. Mercedes should be ashamed of their CR score on the GLE though. When you're paying the premiums you are for these vehicles, they should greatly outperform the non-premium models.
True. But do not underestimate the true effect of greed. 😊
Thank someone finally saying it Gle is literally the word in his class so so unreliable
You guys are awesome. Great job reviewing these Top 5 Mid-Sized Luxury SUVs. I vote for the BMW X-5 M60. The Porsche's are frankly just to expensive.
Since i plan to keep my vehicle over 5 years, I went MDX.
Good choice
I owned a 2006 Porsche Twin Turbo. Excellent vehicle, until it needed repairs. Very expensive, would love to have another one day.
X5 rated #1 by Consumer Reports and also highly on reliability along with the X3. This is a great independent source.
@@Wisdom7IX5 just isn’t as good as it is. There are more negative reviews than positive ones.
@@Wisdom7IMechanic reviews don’t rate the X5 high, though.
Wow good luck my friend you just bought yourself a money pit even a x5 nowadays is way better than a Qx trust me
That Audi Q7 looks like a car from 2010. I would not have had that on my honorable mentions.
The Q7, exterior, is getting long in tooth but they completely redid the interior and it keeps pace with all the modern Audis from an interior perspective. It’s actually more modern than the recent Q5.
It’s the best looking suv. All the new designs are just ugly (Santa fe, pilot, x7)
Hey Zach and Andrea, got one small suggestion for you, when you talk specs, please, PLEASE add those onto a screen as you do with price and fuel consumption data 😊 love your channel and the content!
We do. Watch again.
We do include fuel economy and pricing as you mentioned but not the powertrain specs.
Hmm, I mean the info about an engine on the screen. I rewatched it again and still couldn't find it, I'm talking about horse power, torque, displacement and whatnot. You talk about it - yes, but it'd be nice if at the same time this data is visualized
I loveeeee the new rx it’s gorgeous ! And well it’s a Lexus ❤
my rx500h is fantastic..
@Motormouth_. About world Peace?
the 350 is gutless..
NX been cheaper model.
I (and Im sure Mazda) am surprised that the CX90 doesn't even get an honorable mention, especially since you did include the outdated Acura and Q7.
Happy New Year Andrea and Zack. Great to see you again
Happy New Year, here's to 2024!
You’re such a cute couple with great chemistry. Thanks for your content, it has helped me in such a crowded auto market.
Great video! Both Porsche and Mercedes are beautiful exterior. But Porsche is my favourite. Cheers! ☕️☕️
Yes, very beautiful, they both offer a great exterior design.
@@andreaspencer9813 👍🏻👍🏻☕️☕️
Great choices! The fun thing about the bmw X5 is the 2024 is so much better than the 2023. The interior changes make it a top pick for sure. I ordered a 2024 as soon as I could last April and it came in 4 short weeks. Love it so much. Super nice with the m sport package added and 22 inch black wheels. The new interior sold me over the Mercedes GLE. It has been perfection since day one.
Hubby and I are looking at the 2024 BMW X5 too…..the price tho 😅
But we want to build more equity in our Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid before we bite the bullet and make a trade.

Great list! I looked at most of these ended up going with the Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. Dealership was able to discount MSRP alot. They also offered 5k more for my trade-in than any other dealership. Only slightly worried about reliability. Fingers crossed

I actually like the Acura touchpad. Easy to use and not having a touch screen keeps it clean
MDX is the most bang for buck in the luxury midsize segment. Exterior looks are a major plus as well.
I would love to have a discussion with you about Acura’s touch pads. But I don’t want or need another message app . First time I’ve heard of the Telegram app.
I bought a '24 MDX Spec two weeks ago and the touchpad is absolutely fine. Super easy to operate after ac couple of weeks@@fredjemal3689
Acuras and Hondas have such busy interiors.
Would have loved to see how the Genesis GV80 stacked up to these other luxury SUV’s.
Maintenance on a Acura car is always at lease $600.00 plus each time you take it in.
MDX is the best choice hands down.
Hi, I always enjoy watching your videos they are informative and fun to watch. I like the black interior of your car can you share which car it is.
Hello,I always enjoy watching your reviews and Iike how you go in details and pricing. I am planning for Mercedes GLC 300 2024 but stuck between the regular and coupe. Can you please make a review between 2 cars.?thank you and much appreciated.
Would like you to mention what fuel type when giving fuel economy. Granted most require premium.
Mazda CX-90 is 3 row, all the ones reviewed in this video are 2 row.
@@johnbowden3537The MDX, Q7, and XC90 are all three row. The X5 and GLE have a three row option.
You guys unanimously picked the QX60 over the MDX in one of your reviews. Why didn't it even make the list? 🤔
I just posted a similar comment. I believe it was the addition of the Type-S to the lineup that swayed them to the MDX.
I drove them both and picked the MDX. The QX60 is better for someone looking for a more trucky SUV, and MDX is more car-like. I liked the interior and infotainment system in the QX60 better. But the final decision came down to Acura's superior reliability. Even though I hate the infotainment system. Just sucks.
Infiniti no longer makes decent cars
Always fun to see the lists. Could you explain mild hybrid or 48 volt hybrid compared to regular hybrids.

P.S. I live in Fl, therefore AWD system quality not critical.
What happened to the QX60? 😅
I’m patiently waiting for Acura to either phase out the track pad or add a lager touch screen. Crossing my fingers for a design change in 2025.
Haha not a bad list. But my favorite part is watching her do her Jeff Gordon impression through the neighborhoods lol.
The GLE has a roomy back seat, very comfortable for those with long legs.
79,000 for Cayenne in US, while I’m here in Ireland at least 110,000 euro for ultra base e hybrid model lol ironically being in the continent that the car comes from makes no odds
How does any hybrid and plug in last in Canadas -30 degree weather in Alberta for a month ? Can’t see it being for this climate?
I am surprised you did not have the Lincoln Nautilus. I am wondering what your thoughts are on that.
It's probably not on the list due to poor reliability.
I'm a former Lincoln owner and would never buy another.
True but don’t visit the dealership for out of warranty repairs 😀
Guys, those quality scores are for initial quality (first 90 days I believe) and first 3 years. Basically meaningless for anyone other than leasees. A 6 year score would be A LOT more meaningful, telling a more complete picture of a vehicle's real quality.
Ownership in the luxury category is primarily composed of leases, with some vehicles by a wide margin. It will never not be an important metric.
You might be surprised how many people DONT keep cars 6 or more years anymore.
@@JDubbs07How often do you see a 3 year lease?
@@wyw201 a 3 year lease is the standard agreement.

Great review and list.
Too bad about the puke-worthy pricing. 10 years ago a 6 cylinder X5 started at $67k in Canada. Ouch!
Well I think the Q7 is till it for me; especially before Audi finally refreshes it because just like other brands Audi is now a big fan of black shiny plastics...
Do you guys ever tried Infinity QX60? I am surprised to see MDX and Lexus RX..

Happy guys, I think the Q7 is better than the Acura and GLE.

Please tell me if GLE is such an unreliable vehicle or it may be OK in the end.
Happy new year!
I would only take a JLR vehicle as a rental where I knew
I would be able to give it back. We look forward to these convos. Please keep them coming 🤙
Lincoln & Ford have fantastic SUVs all high technology and performance
How do you people afford to live in Canada the prices of everything seems crazy
It’s between the Lexus and the X5 but I have to go with the X5 just because it’s cooler!
Agree, if you don’t need a 3rd row check out the X3!
We miss driving BMW lol driving a Korean car just isn’t as fun lol 😂
This just in from car and driver: The X5 and X6, despite recent updates, were both down by double-digit percentages compared with 2022, while the X3 and X4 were down too, but by smaller margins.
Down in what? Sales?
