Hey, the Animator here!
You're one of the first people to actually notice that indeed was a malfunction and not a reload! Thank you for the kind words, I've done my best to try and have the weapon handling feel as authentic as possible.
your good at your job cant wait for the game to release
this will be the next cod.
@@dhadasbfgabfu do you have any idea how exhausting it would get to have to play this amount if exhilarating and tense game at a prolonged session? This is something you'd be play every now and then while trying to relax with "cod" but on the other I haven't played cod in a while, I'm not sure if cod can be considered relaxing anymore.
Also keep it mind motion sickness. Many have it. Many won't be able to play it as a result either. Some people even get sick just from Minecraft alone
Cool bro. You did a great job
@@VinnyUnion When the original Doom came out, everyone thought it was too realistic and would affect peoples mental state, if you compare that to CoD it's not even close. Now compare CoD to this, I think people will be able to handle almost any kind of game, as long as it remains a game and not real.
Tbh, I think the checking the mag at the start was just because it's a demo, so it's displaying the animation for it.
I'd say it is not just because it is a demo. It's a fairly common element in many FPS games to create a sense or urgency or readiness at the start of levels or multiplayer rounds. Totally unrealistic from a tactical perspective, of course! As a cop or as a soldier, you check that your weapon is loaded with a full magazine and has a round chambered at the start of a shift or when gearing up for a mission.
It's exactly because it's a demo. It's because the person DEMOING the game is decent at their job and knew that doing something you can do in the game at the outset of the recording would be compelling for the viewer, whether it's realistic or not. Having the capacity to do that during gameplay and someone in turn choosing to do it has no bearing on the realism of the game whatsoever because, just like this person did it then, the next player might choose not to.
@@Poemiserable - Incorrect. See my comment above.
@@LHyoutube He's not incorrect you just seem to be overthinking it. I rarely see any game that has them check their mags as you load into the mission so not sure where you got that analysis from.
@@EliteClicker - It's an extremely common thing in FPS games. Not necessarily the mag checking itself, but the reloading of the weapon part? Extremely common. And in this game, those two things are paired together.
I think the main reason for the mag check and rack at the start is to just showcase the weapon animations and mechanics. Just to show that that stuff is intended to be in the game like Tarkov.
The devs blurred the faces because it enhances the uncanny valley and the easiest way to tell real life from animation is faces, because humans are so accustomed to them. So blurring faces instead of trying to animate them is better for immersion 🤓
Blurring faces disassociates the player from the consequences of their in-game violence. In younger developing minds, this is a concern. The US does not seem to really give a fuck about understanding and improving their gun violence problem in this demographic.
@@mrques2x115 It's been proven that that's a lie. But hey, continue blaming the video games instead of the actual problems. You know, like bad parenting and a failing education system and declining morals. But it's definitely the video games. Not the music and movies that glorify violence and crime. Definitely the video games. Also need to throw a "gun problem bad" in there for good measure.
@@BullsMahunny It is a multi-faceted problem that obviously includes education, parenting and identity politics that place the desires of the individual ahead of their needs. You seem confused and looking for a fight.
@@mrques2x115 🤓
@@mrques2x115 Some of the most violent countries are the ones where very few people have access to videogames. There's also very little intersection between gaming and violent crime when you look at prisoner profiles, even in the US.
You're really not making sense
exactly going with the "bodycam" angle makes it look hyper realistic, unreal engine 5 will bring us some crazy stuff gaming wise, mix a bit of AI on top and god damn
5-7 years from now, if not sooner, is the timeframe i can intuit that virtual training will be installed for at the least, FBI, SpecOps Police/SWAT, and some Infantry.
From what I've seen from the gameplay, it seems like we are playing a character who perhaps is a cop or former police who is now pursuing a personal mission. When he contacts dispatch, I think that's when he is still a police officer, but if they are gonna have us going through places like this solo and using rather unconventional methods (ie. asking a suspect where a person is instead of arresting him right then and there) I feel like thats kind of stuff that fits in a more "off the books" kind of story.
I think this is all a demo. Its just there to show how the story will be told but "Oscar" will probably be a bigger role in the story after all.
could be interesting if they took a max payne sort of story
"Not sure why he's checking his magazine. I mean it should have bullets in it" 😂
Fun to see a military perspective on this. I'm intrigued to how much better the immersiveness and overall experience would have been if the maker would have run the ideas by military experts like yourself
The realism is done by photogrammetry, which is a fun way for games and functional applications. The level design is basically a lot of photo's from a room where you map each photo.
The camera effects and animations help more with the realism than the actual graphics imo
I love the graphical fidelity of this video, what gives it away are the reflections. When have you ever seen reflections that perfect in the field before?
Also. Re: tactical reload. One thing I love, is that in the heat of the moment he fumbles the reload. I know a schlub like me wouldn't be able to reload something perfectly like they do in other video games with that much adrenaline pumping through my system.
Very good video.
It looks like the policeman went caput in the end.
It is nice idea to have body cameras on policemen, so that their actions can be recorded and used in court as evidence.
Having a camera on a patrol car is nice, but it is static
The audio isnt though. Many times a pursuit ends in a foot chase and even when i ran out of view, several times i went hands on with a suspect and my verbal directions are recorded, which is helpful when doing a use of force report. Adds credibility to my testimony.
@@Hammerback972 As far as I know audio only recordings are not acceptable in US courts for the past few decades, because the technology for making fake recordings is so advanced that it is impossible to tell if a recording is real or not.
On the other hand, video recordings, especially with a time indicator counting to 0.001 seconds, cannot be faked without the traces of editing being seen by specialized labs, at least so far.
Man i have not come across this channel after watching your reaction to the call of duty clean house mission 3 years ago. You've grown so damn big man! Almost at 500k jeez... The camera quality, microphon, background... Happy for u man, keep this shit up. Great reaction btw! Liked how you also noticed the little malfunction on the pistol.
Great video mate, for games there is a good one called Squad. But I dont know how easy it is to find decent videos for.
that mag check in the beginning is probably just them showcasing cool animations .. same with the reloading
Not to mention he has comms and reports shots fired, so should wait for back up and maybe not clear a whole building of baddies?😅 Looks cool tho
I noticed that suring editing haha. Odd situation for a demo
I get the feeling the demo takes place in the middle of a longer situation probably with a ticking clock for something bad which is why he’s moving too fast and going after the bad guys without waiting for backup.
@3:36 " oh hell no" 😂😂
I used to be a level designer with the early Unreal Engine, this new one is simply stunning… bravo Unreal!
I need to ask a question. In all FPS games I think about one thing. Even when playing at AI. I do try to avoid a lot my flashlight to shine beside walls or to throw shadows. Because if I defend, I keep always an eye on that to see if someone is close. It that a think in reality too?
Yeah it's called light discipline and its why people use pressure switches on their lights, so they can simply squeeze the switch when they need to aim at something
Need to watch the Tarkov Raid series. My favorite is episode 2 but all of them are well done
Yooooo im Frothing for this game to drop looks mad as!
Looks like a cool game. I have no idea if the game is realistic? For somone like me who never served in the military, it realistic enough.
more realistic than any game out there or at least most id say
It's terrifying that such a realistic environment can now be created with computers. Fuse this with VR and you got yourself a whole new drug the populus can be hooked on for pretty much... ever.
Great video mate ! I would love to see you watch and review the Arma 3 gameplay from Karmakut, I really want to know what you think of it.
Anyways, great content ! Love it !
03:10 what can you say about him running after the runner and not even checking his left if someone else is there.
Would be cool if this was a horror game.
True! Realistic FPS Slender haha
@@CombatArmsChannel Yeah:D
theres paranormal tales, similar in the realism sense, you should check it out
There will be mods or different "missions" for this game that I'm sure will have either horror or sci-fi themes
Well... it's already a horror game, imagine being in that situation, where you can die at any second.
Never thought I’ll see you react to this tbh
Oh if you inspect the footage correctly there are some color mismatches in the start of the game where the right sided green clothed steel fences . There are green and the light green affect you could see plus you could see that the shadows are god but when in real life the shadow inside the building created by the flashlight seems quite obious to MW2 mechanics. And the reflections are great in this game they used the photo filter affect using a high res cam then blender it to add in the wall and ground textures. Its crazy that how much love and affort were put in this game. I just amazed by it but people seem to think its a vedio taken and then edited but its not. Plus when the player kicks the door open you could see the kicking animation, the saturation of the envirounment is great tbh i loved it. Hope the devs work hard on this project itll gonna be a game changer credits to devs and animators. :D love yall :)
put it on 480p or 720p, it looks almost even more realistic
This person knows the way to keep the immersion
The blue will probably be in the game itself. There’s a whole video of this guy explaining it. The blue makes it feel more realistic, like you’re watching actual body cam footage. There’s a lot of issues implementing gore models and small details to a character, so blurring it is an easier route.
Blur*
3:44 correct that's why the current broken strat is to jump around the corner
The best application for hyper-realistic games like this is probably training in order for the officers to acclimatize to some of the tension and gore they could encounter on the field.
and porn
That player straight up murdered those npc's!
In regards to your headshot comment, I'd like to pitch in that this game is geared towards FPS players. Because of that, the heads blowing up or limbs detaching wouldn't phase that category. If you've ever played Cyberpunk 2077, you can see an insane amount of gore from bullet wounds or grenades, and it just makes the game feel a lot better. I am interested in seeing if they will implement some sort of recovery system in the game for the main character. If I get shot twice, does the game end? Or will I have the ability to crawl somewhere and wait for back-up? If I get shot in my leg, will I start limping and bleeding out or will I apply a torniquet? Same goes for if a bullet or if they will even consider ricochet to hit my shooting arm or hand... It sounds like a crazy amount of work and definitely props to the developers and animation artists, this game looks superb so far.
Might try turning off Autofocus. Lens won't hunt for focus when you move your hands...
Hey thankiuu !
Gun recoil looks really realistic too.
I can't remember what the name of it is but there's a horror game coming out sometime this year i think that kinda similar to Unrecorded
Check those corners!
Just imagine playing as a Marine or as a SEAL in Irak withe this kind of graphics !
I really can’t wait for the future video games that will run on Unity or Unreal Engine 5 with such graphics.
Someone accusing your game of being a recording is such an accomplishment
lol I got the video as an ad on this video xD
I had never even heard of a "double feed" until now. I was at the range about 2 weeks ago though and the same fuckin thing happened to me.
Surely you're not American loool
@@GapeGang Because I had never heard of something that has only just happened after years of going to the range roughly once a week?? Yea that makes total sense.
Six Days In Falujah should have used UE5.
Some Damage shots would have been cool, walls and the Van with holes in.
I would love to see you with Charlie (moistcritikal) and go shooting or do some training. Cool guy. Anyways, new sub here. Take care, boy!
Maybe its a rogue cop trying to find a friend and he didnt take the camera off
This looks so creepily realistic, it ain't even a horror game. Or at least I think it's mainly not suppose to be.. LOL
Personally I dont agree with set limits. Just put it out there and let individuals decide if its right for them or not.
I’ve zero military experience. I wanted to join the military as a kid but desert storm provided my parents with enough motivation to put a stop to that. Sadly for them I opted to join the UK fire service, desert storm ended and fires continued but they got used to it. I still have a keen interest in military topics. I have since completed a masters degree in disaster and emergency planning and management and have a wealth of front line, social, and political experience and knowledge. My views on conflict and war have changed over my years but sadly I reluctantly admit that military capabilities remain an essential asset for the foreseeable future. I only wish that military forces were deployed only as a last resort to defend and save lives rather than any broader political reasons. That being said, within my more utopian and sadly unlikely ideal scenario I’m still in awe and interested in how military units operate. Therefore, my dream experience is a visually realistic, audio accurate and tactical and strategically real experience in VR. Your video of this game confirms the audio visual is already possible. I want the whole deal from training which requires a pass before progressing to full on engagements that provide a realistic experience. I mean no holds barred. Effective enemies who are also bound by the same real world restrictions and human errors etc… effectively a civilian training game. While the physical aspects of the real world are near impossible in VR I believe with the right software at least some important aspects might be learned from such an experience. I’d very much enjoy and am interested enough to want such an experience despite likely having my noggin popped on a regular basis. Also, I wonder if for those with the team and leadership experience who have dealt with life threatening situations and rescue efforts this might be enough to make them as close to as is possible to be able to contribute if required. Thoughts appreciated? If you find a similar experience anytime please do shout loudly about it because I’m all in. Cheers.
This would make a great horror game.
I wanna play this game
this level looks so realistic because its from a 3d scan of a real environment.
Well not exactly . The individual assets are scanned and then assembled together in the engine.
@@trashpanda5947 it’s still made up of scans of a real environment though. Wording is simplified such that a larger number of people can understand.
@@BigManHarrison Your "simplified" version is inaccurate though, you make it seem as if this is a real place, it's not. Trashpanda was right when they said it's individual assets assembled together.
@@aj897 The assets are real though and I specified environment not place.
Me when i spread misinformation:
Apparently this is a series of edited clips. The mag check at the doorway is because the original clip showed him randomly spraying a handful of rounds for no reason so, he was running low. Just FYI
If this game releases i need to buy a super super super mega computer
From the sounds of your criticisms, it seems you mostly have issues with how the player is acting rather than the game. If someone who is tactically trained how you say and they played this, I’d imagine it would be near flawless.
this looks like real footage with cgi on top!!!
Also, consider the fact that this game will be played by some people who have zero combat or tactical experience. In a few months or years, no amount of realism will make the game look realistic if some gamer, like me, does shit that doesn't make sense just because we could.
You know when those idiots say they hate ray tracing & global illumination "why would anyone choose that over 4K 60fps?".....THIS is why!
It's the biggest graphics advance in 20 years!
And just think.......40 some plus years ago, we had Pong.....
Give me this in VR!
And it is being developped by a French studio who was made by a retired french rapper ahah quite unique indeed.
Cocorico
0:07 sounds like gibberish lol
I dont know where the game is setted to be.. but in most countries in europe Police officers dont carry weapon with bullet in the chamber. Its forbiden because of safety.
Its hard to believe its a game
Make this a horror game and it will be legendary
Imagine this being the next Tarkov.
You should react to the Escape From Tarkov cinematic movie
So Alex Pereira all of a sudden comments on video games in fluent English?
anybody told him he looks like Alex Pereira
I really hope this comes to xbox
You'll need a damn quantum computer to run these graphics. lol
The fact that the biggest criticisms here boil down to gameplay is a huge compliment to how otherwise realistic it is.
If they add an equally realistic PVP mode, I’m sure people are moving way slower with flashlights off.
The game is out now, are you planning on giving it a shot?
What? Last i heard it was not out yet? Maybe you're talking about bodycam? Its an entirely different game
we learnt when to reload as early as goldeneye days lol, only noobs explore with a half filled mag
This Guy has big balls. not like from the airforce
He looks a little like shane from the walking dead
It's a video game, I am assuming the Oscar question is a story thing. It can only be so real, can't get to into it. Still a game
If you want it to be real then join a spec ops unit 🙄
This has made me question my reality

Were you watching the video in 720p?
I refuse to believe this isn’t a GoPro strapped to some dudes head

The other dudes are def untrained, based off their clothes I'm assuming they are civ criminals
No limit show everything
LOL he's commenting it like it was real situation, really the dev just wanted to show some of his tech. But cool video none the less. And it really shows you how the game really is pretty realistic looking and sounding at least.
I'll be there's already cheats developed for this :D
im dead if they put zombie in that game
Yeah no department is sending one dude into a barricade situation with multiple hostiles. Rolling tactical teams 100% of the time.
its a demo sir. Still a demo that showcases what the game would look like.
Does look like airsoft.
