  • The alternator cord runs through the passenger front wheel well on a Thor Sanctuary 19PT. Mine and some others have had a rubbing issue that is chewing the cord. I previously just reinforced the cord protector, but something came loose, and it pulled further into the wheel well and was rubbing more. Weather changed once van got up on lift, so I had to work quickly. If I was to routinely lift the van, I would get jack stands going further to add stability.

I put a link for the bottle jack in description, it’s from Amazon. Scissor jack is for my car and I would not recommend it for van. It’s only 1.5 ton capacity. I just grabbed something real quick when the wind started.

      @@jtbrv23 hello
I checked it and it was frayed! I got some electrical tap and repaired the frayed housing as the cable was ok. I then usewwd 2 zip ties to secure the repaired cable housing to 2 area of the nearby chassis. Looks great but will periodically check. Thans for your safety updates on this vehicle!

@junglehomes6525 I’m glad you checked. Mine was similar, the wire wasn’t chewed up yet but the protective sleeve was damaged.

@@jtbrv23 I was wondering if you have a hand held propane gas leak detector and
      which one you recommend?

@junglehomes6525 I don’t. I wouldn’t even know where to point you. Do you think you have a leak? I believe the inside of van has a propane detector near floor by back seat.
