    A+ video, camera work, and inserts.
    The best ATV repair video I've ever seen.

    Nice man; I like that you included the pages from the service manual. I will be doing this to mine soon. BTW, I dig the second to last song; reminded me of ATV off road fury.

      it was a lot easier than I expected. most of the ones I have seen have those little shims you insert in the buckets to raise or lower the valves. I found the adjustment screws a lot easier to deal with.

      I'm going to take a wild guess and say your issue is probably electrical related vs valves. valve check is never a bad idea on these four strokes though of course...

      TrailBlogger i think you're right but I will still check. So happy these raptors don't use shims 😅

      speaking of shims... wait till you see the latest project I just picked up LOL

    @trailblogger hey man. thanks for the video you just opened my mind up to things i never knew before.. However the issue with my 2016 raptor that it cuts out on high RPM's. it idles fine. it drives fine. The moment i rev it up its like it runs out of gas for a second or two then speeds up again. Could it be valves issue?

    • @premium1188
      @premium1188 3 роки тому +2

      Check your carborater, it could be something with that, but it is possible it's a valve issue I would take it in to get maintenance and get it checked out

    Valve clearance should be for exhaust value- .18mm (.17mm -19mm) I go in between. Intake value- .10mm (.08 - .11mm)

    My 03 yahmaha warrior 350 makes a ticking noise while running, could adjusting the valves fix it?

    By doing this process did u gain any performance with ur raptor 700?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  4 роки тому +1

      It was more general maintenance and to rule it out as the cause of not running correctly

    • @JoseGonzalez-wl9op

      Oh I see yes I’ll do it for mine too thanks for the video bro and also I did hear u comment after so many hrs to check them for maintenance

    Hey trailblogger I saw a video on Hill climb ohio channel of his tires "bolted" I've been wanting to do a set of my tires but was wondering if I would need to run a tube and how to go about the whole thing and if I could road ride with the bolts

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 років тому

      LittleMoreLow 400ex never ran bolts myself but I asked same question to mr brogan and he said he does not run a tube

    • @elliotknight7531
      @elliotknight7531 6 років тому

      TrailBlogger thank you are you aware if he uses like some kind of silicone alround the bolts ?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 років тому

      LittleMoreLow 400ex no I don't think he does. I asked same question. His channel is hill climb Ohio Jeremiah brogan you should leave him a comment and ask. Pretty sure he said no to both tube and silicone

    Have you checked your fuel pump and fuel pressure?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 років тому +1

      I don't have a fuel pressure gauge but good suggestion. I can hear the pump priming, sounds pretty healthy, if I disconnect the line after it is primed fuel shoots out all over the place lol

    • @The700XXrider
      @The700XXrider 6 років тому +2

      TrailBlogger I picked up a fuel pressure test kit from Harbor Freight. And some extra fuel line was able to use a t fitting to check fuel pressure. Also may want to make sure your throttle body and injector is actually clean and spraying.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 років тому +1

      well I know where I am going when I Get off work lol harbor freight it is. i have another idea, posting a video about that one later tonight hopefully.

    How often is it recommended that you check the valves on the Raptor 700?
    & watched the whole thing. Should help out anyone who needs to adjust valves a lot!

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 років тому +3

      the manual says to the valve check on it every 160 hours. if you are breaking it in brand new, do after first 20 and then 80 hours

    • @TheTyelr
      @TheTyelr 6 років тому +1

      TrailBlogger thanks much. The one I just got has 81 hours but idk if it's ever been done so I'll probably do it to be safe.
      Do you actually need a torque wrench or just snug everything?
      Also, what oil do you run and how frequently do you change it?
      Sorry for all the questions haha. Wanna make sure I treat my raptor right.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 років тому +3

      torque wrench is a good idea, I didn't use one but I would recommend it if you don't work on engines a lot so you don't accidentally overtighten or undertighten anything,.

      @bansheefever750cc8 6 років тому +1

      TrailBlogger Well on the bright side, at least the lash maintenance is done. You thinking ignition problems? I saw your vid on the compression test so it's not a bent valve. Maybe something with the timing? So many possibilities with these newer fuel injected engines. Stuck open injectors could also cause these symptoms. What are you thoughts?

    • @TheTyelr
      @TheTyelr 6 років тому +1

      Damn. Good luck figuring it out. Haven't finished video yet, but I was planning to check the valves soon on my raptor anyways so this should help.

      Maybe its the sensor behind gearshift

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 років тому +1

      Banshee Fever 750cc I'm going to start electrical stuff now that the mechanical portion is tested ( compression and spark seem ok ) throttle sensor, ecu or the wiring harness are suspect. Coil seems ok as its getting a healthy spark.
