    I set timing chain on my buddys grizzly 700 which has the same engine as your raptor. I line the tdc mark on the flywheel with the mark in the screw hole that you look thru for timing marks and i set the cam sprocket with the mark lined up with the smaller triangalur tit on the case at the top of the cam sporcket but when we try to crank it, it shoots fire out of the throttle body and backfires. Any ideas whats wrong? Its got me stumped

    Hi... I know that this is not a Bruin video but I am wondering if you might me able to help me out a bit anyway? I have looked everywhere and I get different valve clearance setting recommendations from different places I look. Can you help me out? I have a 2006 Yamaha Bruin, Model: YFM350A - Vin: 5Y4AH10Y66A021826. The other thing is, my feeler gauge has both Metric and Inches. If you can help me out with the correct clearance settings, please tell me if they are to be used with Metric or Inches on my gauge? >

    Is there different settings between valves

    • @MrCuervoRacing
      @MrCuervoRacing  5 років тому

      Yes. Intake and exhaust valves normally see a different spec.

    If it’s not set right will it still crank

    • @MrCuervoRacing
      @MrCuervoRacing  6 років тому

      marquis fields if the valves are too tight or too loose the engine will still crank over(turn with starter) but may not fire if excessively tight
