I have been breadcrumbed quite a few times and it's been from someone that I've dated before hand and I find it that I'm the only one who has been making the effort into the starting to build a relationship again. We broke up because of my health problems. But at points I'm being crucified for the way my autoimmune disease has been causing problems. I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt. I take into consideration that I know that I'm a job to be with because of my health problems. I know that's not a good way to be. 😔🤦‍♂️

@@rossanderson1989 so sorry to hear this 😥 I’m in the process of being diagnosed and find myself pushing people away to keep myself safe from rejection once it’s clear I can’t do all the things a ‘normal’ 37-year old woman can do (be spontaneous, feel confident in never needing to break plans) it’s hard and you’re not alone.

Love your videos and insights! So glad you’re back to making videos btw 🙂
I’ve experienced (and committed) these breadrumbing texts. I’m now trying to be careful not to lead anyone on or turn to someone for a confidence boost with these unsolicited texts when I need one but know I’m not interested beyond that. I don’t want someone to do me like that either, it’s confusing and it hurts!

Funny fact: I've done some of those things while REALLY INTERESTED in the guy! My "excuses" weren't lies! I really was occupied etc. And I told the guy: "Look, I really like you. Could you wait a couple of weeks for me to do my obligations? (I was at a time of taking big test on college) and then I will give you my full attention?"Well, he not only didn't believe in me, but he also immediately started to catcall another woman. I just thought: ok, there's an insecure and inconsistent guy. He wants interested in a relationship with ME. But any relation with any woman is just for self-validation. I just dodge a bullet! Sometimes... is not ghosting! The girl might have a life outside the internet! haha

You are just so full of great insight! I love all your stuff! The only thing I didn't quite get was the "negging" examples, because I've said things along those lines, but not with any intent to manipulate at all. It was just me expressing my usual taste while recognizing that they don't apply to the current interaction. I wonder if there's a better way I could express that? I mean, I would be okay with someone expressing those messages to me without triggering my need for approval, yet, the examples of negging that I've seen in other pages seem like much more underhanded attempts to trigger that need (once you know what to look for). The other thing is that I tend to use a lot of emojis, but that's also because I'm super expressive in person and feel too limited by text. Plus, text can be read so many ways, that I find emojis help the reader understand the tone it is said in. When I've tried to no use emojis (because I've also felt that point you made about them coming across as nervous/insecure, etc) I've noticed that people tend to read me as serious or upset (insert shrugging emoji here, haha). But I still get what you mean about the overuse of laughing emojis, LOLs or the wrong emojis entirely. I think that one is a bit trickier to figure out because the emoji has to make sense to what is being said and one has to visualize how the conversation would be in person if they were making those same faces. Thanks again for all your awesome info!

I didn't know what breadcrumbing was until now. I was actually friends with a work colleague until I finally realised how she was treating me.
After realising how I was being treated. I was absolutely infuriated! Especially when one thinks you're friends.
I actually thought she was a woman of integrity.
So long story short. I blocked her. I will not tolerate this type of behaviour! Especially when it comes from a woman with an extremely high I.Q.

Certainly helps clarify the behaviour of this chick who has managed to get inside my head recently:
    (2) Lovebombing followed by a sudden, cold, brutal dumping then a series of (11) "Hey"
Luckily I simply matched her energy on the "hey" texts, eventually forcing her to throw me some bigger crumbs and thus make herself even more absurd.
I ignored these too and eventually she was forced to abandon the breadcrumbing and hit me up for some proper conversations like we used to have, although by that time I was feeling really disrespected and gave her a cold, hostile response.
Can't quite get her out of my head though.......working on it.

    • @brianamacwilliam.attachment
      @brianamacwilliam.attachment  9 місяців тому +5

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like a rollercoaster of emotions. The behaviors you describe-love bombing followed by cold withdrawal and breadcrumbing-can be disorienting and emotionally exhausting. It's hard to know where you stand when someone is inconsistent like that, and it can definitely get in your head.
You've done a commendable job of matching her energy and protecting your boundaries, but it's clear that the situation has left an impact. Sometimes emotional experiences, especially those that involve inconsistent behaviors, can stick with us for longer than we'd like.
If you're looking for more insights into why people might engage in these confusing behaviors, you might find my video on 'Understanding Love Bombing' helpful: ua-cam.com/users/liveFsLvyTCC5JU

Right from what I will wear, what I will do, straight about going to bed together...and asking me to come wearing a night suit...when I protested that it is my first date with him... We had shared our first kiss before he left to tend to his mother, and he cut the kiss short with an arm cramp 😂 This man was really working hard to leave me wanting, because later in the day he texted “I wish I would have kissed you more” so I asked “Why didn’t you?”. He went quiet then I said “Dangle yourself like a carrot and I’ll eat you whole.” “I’d love to get eaten whole!” he replied so I said “Psychologically”. You're right, breadcrumbing isn't confined to any one gender-it's a behavior that can be exhibited by anyone in the dating world. The underlying emotional mechanics are pretty much the same, regardless of whether it's a man or a woman doing the breadcrumbing. Recognizing these red flags is a positive step toward better understanding what you're looking for and how to navigate the often murky waters of dating.

I've been texting and talking with this guy who told me that I have to chase him. He requested sexy lingerie photo and said that I have to seduce him because there will be other women that will try to seduce him and he is really great man and that I don't want to lose him. He added that if I don't keep seducing him when dating him, eventually another woman will, implying that he will just leave me for the greater seductress. Ugh.. I said I don't want to compete with other women constantly and I'm not really good at seduction anyway. Is he emotionally unavailable or just plain narcissistic?

Thank you for posing this question. You definitely don’t want to walk but run as fast as you can in the opposite direction from someone like this. It is definitely narcissistic and more than that it’s someone who sadistically likes to play manipulative mental and emotional mind games. It could be a kink that he has, but unless he has framed that from the onset, I do not recommend pursuing this. Good luck.

I thought this was about bread crumbing? Its way more about about txt messages from people who aren't interested in a long term relationship or people with dysfunctional habits. I gotta disagree with her, or at least say her examples aren't always true. I for one am co-dependent and in love with the idea of being in love. But, I do long term relationships and i do not breadcrumb or ghost, I'm an anxious preoccupied attachment style?!?!?! 1st girl i kissed I dated all 4 years of high school, then dated a girl for a decade, then for 2 decades. I also write very flowery romantic messages better than what she cut and pasted, but i try to make them unique for whatever girl I'm pursuing. I admit to have a default template for my intro message, that I will customize per person but before that I found myself stating the same basic stats and facts as an intro. And some stories about my life I've pre-scripted because again I'll often repeat the same stories and typing on a phone sucks. I also have a very debelitating anxiety about using the phone, it has nothing at all to do with not being that into a girl and sometimes if I'm really into a girl, I get anxiety about meeting them and would rather keep it going online then meet and be rejected. Yeah, I'm well aware I'm dysfunctional, but again, I don't breadcrumb or ghost. While this might be useful tips, the title of this needs to be changed.

You bring up an interesting perspective! For many people, a spiritual connection can offer a sense of completeness and purpose that they might not find elsewhere. Pastor RC Blakes Jr. is known for his empowering messages, especially when it comes to self-worth and relationships.
However, it's worth remembering that everyone's journey to love and happiness is different. While some may find fulfillment and guidance in spirituality or religious teachings, others may have different routes to the same goal. The key is to know what aligns with your own values and priorities, so you can make choices that bring you true contentment. ❤️❤️❤️

Could be full blown narcissist. Appear interested but use intermittent reinforcement. Put you on the back burner. Not a good thing. Let them go. If they grow up then later. You'll find out but if they continue at low level functioning. They think they are putting their best foot forward but if it's inappropriate. If it's over tge top praise it feels good but over tge top that no one has done to you. Press the brakes.
Oh scripted texts -let me throw up. Anyone who ghosts you deserves the same. Denial deflection a ND trying to get you to answer their questions- stop. The over use of 😊 is lazy and they are not using words- indicates lack of ability to speak to you.
