The staff is called an Energy Stave and is a cut weapon from Halo 2. Was intended to be used as a weapon in the game.
Most content in Halo 2 was actually cut as they had a very troublesome development. Great video Abz, the Honour Guard are my favourite!

Energy stave sounds a bit weird since it seems to be a solid metal stave, not a plasma one like the energy sword.

i often wonder why multiple species weren't rolled into the honor guard
it would have been a nice symbol of unity, as well as a diversification of its forces
but I guess only the elite were 'worthy' of the role
Well mostly just weren't capable, but mostly yes because the elites are the only worthy, grunts aren't worthy, and the covenant never really cares for diversity or unity, other species were below them
The role was designed specifically for the elites as part of the writ of union
I've been waiting for elite customization options that include the og halo2 honor guard armor since I first laid eyes upon it

Elite: "Stupid Prohpets. Why kick us out, for those smelly apes?! We elites have always guarded the higher ups. This is an unforgiving betrayal of my beliefs in the Great Journey!"
???: "And what's so elite about you rip jaws?"
Elite: "WHO DARES DISHONOUR THE HOLY- Shit."
*Sees Spartan Red team standing there, surrounded by elite bodies*
Elite: "I mean; the elite honour guards are.... over there.... the hairy elites. The ones who look hairy... and brutish...."
Jerome: "Thanks man. You aren't a Covenant member, are you?"
Elite: "No, Nah-nah-nope. Thats over there!"
Jerome: "Alright. Just... watch yourself. Douglas here; he has a love of surprise killing Covenant Elites. This mess, behind us? All him."
Douglas: "I just like my shiney, purple knife blade. It glistens in the star light, like luminous paint." ^_^
Elite: "___"
Alice: "Dont worry. Jerome and I are more, fight them from the front, types."
*She shows elite her chain gun. And hits a button on the control pad. Spinning it up.*
Elite: ;_;
Jerome: "Alice, calm the Grunt grinder." *referring to her gun*
"You are making our new friend here, nervous."
Elite: "Friend?"
Jerome: "Yeah, you have been very helpful. I'm almost inclined to NOT shoot you." xD
Elite: ;_;
Douglas, "Aw, he's crying.... can Elites cry?"
Alice: "Ayye, this is abit embarrassing. He seems so... 'soft.'"
Jerome. "Yeah... he does seem harmless... Tell you what, Elite. We are going to go over there, kill the Brute guards. Then come back.
If you are still here, then we will have to kill you too. But if you are 'Smart'. You will disappear.... catch my drift?" ;)
Elite: "YES. I GET IT. GOOD DAY." *Walks away quickly. Walks faster after he hears gunfire and the sounds of dying Brutes.*
Elite, 30 years later. "And thats how daddy survived, not 1, not 2, but 3 demons. At once. I was the last elite standing; when High Charity fell, to the Flood.
I hid in the ship's inner city. For 3 months. Until, somehow. We crash landed on the Ark.
I jumped ship, after fight the flood off. And landed here. After which I joined the Banished. And met your mother. After clearing all the humans out; we settled down here.
I am happy to say it. That we will never see any "Demons" from here on out." ^_^
*Meanwhile. The spirit of Fire enters the Ark's orbit*
*After everyone wakes up from cryo.*

Alice: "I'm hoping we are still at war. I need Covenant to kills. By trigger is getting itchy."
Jerome: "Chill you two. We have a new opportunity before us."
Doug: "What do you mean?"
Jerome: "Well. You know we found that cov massive space station? And killed all those brutes?"
Douglas, "Yeah. Where we met that 1 elite, I liked him."
Jerome: "Exactly! When we were there, I slipped a tracker on him. You know, incase command ordered us to clear up any loose ends..."
"Well, when Serina woke me up, I was busy killing a flood incursion. After I dealt with that sbit. I decided to check our radar system.
And would believe it? That elite was still alive. So I figured All, why plot a course from that elite? We helped him, by not killing him. So i guessed, maybe he could help us back. A lift on a corvet back home, would be cool.
After checking the radar just now. All these years later. HE IS STILL ALIVE.
And he's here, on this installation!"
Alice: "I feel a road trip coming on.... I call the gun turret."
Douglas: "I call shotgun! Wait, shouldn't we wait for permission from the cap-"
Captain cutter over the radio.
"RED TEAM. Report. You are going ground side, light recon, deploy in 5min."
Jerome: "Jerome 092 Reporting, "Light Recon, orders confirmed, sir!"

Who would win Locust horde or the Covenant??? I think the fight will be pretty though
I mean the covenant would win a war just because they have space ships with the capabilities of glossing planets. I would say in a ground infantry type battle I think it would be close, but I would still give the slight edge to the covenant just because of plasma weapons and personal shields. Those two pieces of tech are in reality, make every infant unit incredibly dangerous.
@@thomaswalmsley8959 Well sure Covenant will have superiority because they have space ships, vehicles and other so they can glass the entire planet... but Locust live hundred of meters underground... so i think this war would be draw because Covenant on the Surface have more superiority but Underground the Locust are in they natural environment...
@@ultraelite143 the media is somewhat inconsistent but uf the glossing capabilities are as powerful as its portrayed in some, the covenant can probably just burn off the atmosphere. Barring that the covenant can keep the locus contained under ground so the locus would probably just be resorting to insurgent type warfare because they're loose a fight above ground due to firepower. But if it was sqaud v squad of locus vs elites it'd be pretty close. But I'd give the elites a slight advantage for reasons stated above.

Gears of war palace Guards vs Halo honor guards, who will win?
I love gears of war but I'd have to give it to Halo honor guards because they have better equipment and a better track record of victory on the battle field experience mixed with great equipment I think I'd be a slaughter
@@kingtreck7117 Yeah, the locust palace guards will be destroyed in a matter of minutes, because the covenant honor guards are more advanced, have energy shields and also use stealth, while palace Guards are more armored than any other locust they still won't have a chance, because they aren't as advanced as the honor guards, and even tho palace guards are more experienced locust drones, They still will be killed
Can you play the story mode to the gears of war games?
I don’t think many would want to watch that, not sure tho
