22:10 The M831 Transport Warthog is the ancestor to the Razorback can be found used on Halo 3’s mission The Pit. A few variants exist in Reach or ODST but aren’t usually drivable.
It also makes an appearance on the covenant in halo 3. A troop warthog gets sent to pick up the player after clearing the first shield tower. Where you can choose to drive it down to the beach or do whatever you want. This is the only instance i can think off currently
One thing I love about using the Hornet when fighting the dual Scarabs in Halo 3, there is a different way you can use them that a lot of players don't realize. You can take the one the pilot lands if you want. But you could hop onto the side of the other one and the pilot will then fly you to one of the Scarabs to land you on top of it. Once you dismount, the Hornet will fly off a short distance until you destroyed the core of that Scarab. It would then fly back in to pick you up and immediately fly you to the other Scarab to do the same thing as the first.
This is really cool. I will never stop blasting them with the hornet. But I never understood the speedrun strat to get out and then back in the hornet. I love when games aren't linear.
@@JustSomeKittenwithaGun It's one of the few instances in Halo 3 where you are given an option that plays out differently depending on your decisions. Honestly, if Halo 5 didn't have the req pack system and was on pc, warzone would be played a lot by me. I honestly love the game, even if it is pretty bad story wise, and the forerunner enemies and weapons were cool and unique and I wish I could encounter them more.
I mean, the whole REQ system is pretty meh if you ask me. Outside of buying the weapon specific packs that gave you like 10 of the OP SPNKR Rockets, the Nornfang Sniper, or the Whispered Truth (A suppressed Halo CE magnum that gave you permanent speed boost when equipped)....they weren't really all that "pay to win" as people made them out to be. Yeah, spending money to open more REQ packs might give you a chance to have more of the better REQs than other players, but there was no guarantee you would get to use them (Since you still had to work your way up IN the match point wise to have access to the better REQs in the first place). I had matches where my team sucked compared to the enemy and they were able to bust out their REQs before we could. And even if you got them onto the field...there was nothing stopping an enemy player from just killing you and taking your own REQs to use against your own team. I can recall a time when I was rolling an ONI Scorpion onto the field and lost it immediately because some enemies were hidden camping the vehicle exit and immediately highjacked me and blew the tank up as soon as I left the safety spawn with it. Or once, I spawned with a Nornfang (Sniper that gives you a damage boost when equipped) and I got maybe one or two kills with it before I got domed by an enemy sniper who then just went and picked up the Nornfang I had and used it against my team.
To be fair, in Halo 3, you could hijack those AA Wraiths if you break the top where the driver is and hold the button to enter, just melee the driver till he's dead and it should allow you to hop in. I did it on the 360, but idk if it's still possible
I remember my first ever time playing 'The Ark' on Halo 3, and I managed to get my three ODSTs onto the Brute Prowler. The two passengers sported sniper rifles, and the third and final ODST (Who I think was a Sergeant judging by the red markings on his shoulder pieces) Was on the turret. I somehow got them to survive the whole mission. Wish both the Prowler and the ODSTs will return.
400th like, and the forklift is the *APEX* of humanity’s engineering when it came to engineering tactical vehicles. Being OSHA Certified myself, I’ve operated that little digital forklift with skill over the 10+ years of Reach. So much skill in fact to wipe out 3 elites in one ram while descending the ramp at Sword Base in firefight. I would return in MCC to revive my Reach 360 days with the little forklift, I’ve given the two on Sword Base names: “Forky” and “Bitchin’ Backy”. Both see heavy use in my custom firefight game modes.
@ThunderBuddy you're welcome, ngl having an accent like that is cool, I'm American, I'd give anything to speak like that, sure I can put on an accent, but it's not genuine. But I don't think anyone should doubt their voice
I remember in Halo 3 giving my ODST passengers rocket launchers and snipers when they got on the side of the Prowler. With those passenger weapons and someone on the turret, that vehicle was a MONSTER on the Ark mission.
Honestly, especially on harder difficulties, it is almost always better to either give the AI the power weapons or let them take over as gunners in vehicles since the difficulty effects ALL AI, enemy and ally. I remember having an AI in the turret on my Gauss Hog (it was either in Halo 3 or Reach) and it was just one-shotting everything left and right.
My favorite vehicle is the OP vulture armed with twin double barrel cannons, twin Sam launchers on the tail and could launch a barrage of air to ground missiles
Having recently played the MCC again, I really miss the Falcon. The ability to lock the altitude and the maneuverability far surpasses the Hornet, even though the base multiplayer Falcon lacks weapons for the pilot.
It would've been so cool if on The Ark in Halo 3, after killing the two Prowlers, a green Phantom flies in and drops off two Spectres for the chief and marines to use
The falcon wasn't just better than the hornet due to how it functioned but also gave the passengers something to do instead of being little more than just getting a bus ride, but most importantly it has the best hover/vtol controls we've seen in halo ever. Yeah it took some getting used to but when you understood it you could do everything.
While the pelican in Reach is more of what I was expecting the controls were slippery and not easy to contrrol. I'm glad they made it a vehicle in Halo 4 but the controls for it went the oposite direction to Reach's and became rigid and it controlled unlike any Pelicans we've seen in Halo before. We haven't had a playable pelican vehicle that controls well in Halo and I hope it happens one day.
What i find neat is that the falcon is only on reach in lore, is literally because we are ALWAYS interacting with UNSC marines, Spartans etc. HOWEVER in reach we are also interacting HEAVILY with reach's ground defence force (the planets military) and since a planetary defence force aouldnt really need a space shuttle, they use the falcon for flight transport over the far more costly pelican (both in general and for this specific purpose)
The level that the Falcon was on also had a easter egg, Can't remember how it's done but there's a secret button/s that can turn the Falcon into the Pelican.
I think a upgraded version of the Spectre with maybe a more closed cab and heavier Plasma cannon, as well as ability to fly or something cool would hit the spot for that vehicle
Man, I remember when I did my Halo 4 Solo Legendary run and I remember how good the music was for the final level. Both the Broadsword run and the 2nd half where you fought your way to the Didact. It felt soo epic. Shame they made the boss fight a QTE.
Does anyone remember in the early 2000’s there was a demo that went under another name, but you flew a ship that clearly was a halo pelican. I remember playing it at a fair but never saw it again.
Also in Halo 2 Anniversary multiplayer you have the gungoose that fires machine gun rounds, which was changed for Halo 5 and Infinite to fire grenades.
Good video, tho I would’ve also included the Anti-Air Wraith, as it certainly has one of the weirdest sets of appearances. An iconic Halo 3 glitch, an awesome vehicle in Halo 5 Warzone albeit slightly underpowered (would’ve loved it in campaign 😭), and later a proper addition to ODST Firefight on Lost Platoon. Honestly maybe my favorite Halo vehicle I think, I want it back 😤
Fun fact you actually forgot to mention the anti-air wraith which was only featured in halo 3 on the missions the storm and the ark as well as the covenant in that order, it was actually pilotable if you use the headshot glitch on the Wraith driver (it was my favorite vehicle in Halo 3)
God, i wish the Spectre, Revenant, Mantis and Falcon were all around together since at least Halo 2 (maybe Halo 3 for the Mantis). I'd love to drive either of the Covenant ones in Firefight too. The Prowler is also very cool, but it replacing the Spectre always made me sad.
Some people forget how OP the Forklift could be in Reach. It could left you skip the entire final 1/4th (or 1/3rd) of the Nightfall level. You could park it right next through a gate (that is normally suppose to open after you fight off some Hunters and Jun places a bomb on the jamming tower) and if you exit the Forklift just right, it would clip you through the door. On top of that, if you did this, it doesn't spawn any enemies for the rest of the level so you can just run to the end without having to worry about the immediate Phantom or the multiple Shade Turrets in the next area.
Man, I love the falcon. People rightfully call it a death trap in multiplayer but I think it would fit perfectly in infinite. It would make a good counter to the other air vehicles and it could be the only aircraft which can survive a head on hit from a skewer.
Great video, brings back even better memories! Gotta ask, tho, whats up with the lampshading editing? U've got a solid script, there's no need to distract a viewer from the topic with a text blurbs pointing out a every negligible voice-over mistakes. The video's tight, have the confidence that u earned!
I want to see the black and yellow anti-armor warthog from the HALO CE PC port actually get used in a proper halo game against vehicles and armor. With the unguided rockets of course
I actually just replayed through Halo Wars with the Definitive Edition and honestly, there are a lot of vehicles (In Halo Wars 2) that would be great to see in the FPS perspective. I remember I use to always have a blast using the Cobras. Locking them down in their precision mode was fun. The Kodiaks from HW2 were also fun.
Imagine you and your buddies in a mg turret and a rocket gif driving around and then over a hill comes a revenant and the spectre (I have a mega spectre and prowler too)
I wish the specter stayed. I love it a lot more than the warthog because it's so much more stable and amazing in campaign if you give your passenger buddies power weapons.
I feel like the wasp and the troop hog variant of the warthog (I know it’s a variant and not its own vehicle, but we’ve had multiple rocket, gauss, and machine gun hogs) are worth talking about. I know Infinite still uses the wasp after 5, but it was about like paper in both games, but I think it definitely got even weaker in Infinite.

loved the amount of just RANDOM SHIT you could put around in in halo reach. was a good time.
they didn't do Halo wars because that would be a entire video of its self lol
@@zorothehunter23 I'm going to do a video on Halo Wars in the future
I SO wish we got some of the banished walkers from halo wars 2 in infinite
Your voice is actually great to listen to, got a like and a sub, looking forward to more content, and I'll also check out your other stuff
@@thedidacthalo4167 that means a lot man, thank you.
For years I hated the sound of my own voice but good to know it's not that bad :)
@ThunderBuddy you're welcome, ngl having an accent like that is cool, I'm American, I'd give anything to speak like that, sure I can put on an accent, but it's not genuine. But I don't think anyone should doubt their voice
Falcon is easily my MOST favorite vehicles in all of Halo
I remember in Halo 3 giving my ODST passengers rocket launchers and snipers when they got on the side of the Prowler. With those passenger weapons and someone on the turret, that vehicle was a MONSTER on the Ark mission.
@@LovleyLemonade one of the best moments in Halo
Honestly, especially on harder difficulties, it is almost always better to either give the AI the power weapons or let them take over as gunners in vehicles since the difficulty effects ALL AI, enemy and ally. I remember having an AI in the turret on my Gauss Hog (it was either in Halo 3 or Reach) and it was just one-shotting everything left and right.
My favorite vehicle is the OP vulture armed with twin double barrel cannons, twin Sam launchers on the tail and could launch a barrage of air to ground missiles
I started with halo 3 and always assumed the hornet was always there like the worthog and scorpion
The 'razorback' is just a rebranded M831 Troop Transport Warthog from halo 3. Change my mind
Always give plasma canon and spartan lazer to the npcs when flying falcon
There's a reason I nicknamed the RazorBack the "party bus"
The Prowler is called the Mauler in the game files lol
Everytime the enemy has a Mantis we get folded, but when my team uses it, they get rekt with a Spartan Laser or a Scorpion
The level that the Falcon was on also had a easter egg, Can't remember how it's done but there's a secret button/s that can turn the Falcon into the Pelican.
I think a upgraded version of the Spectre with maybe a more closed cab and heavier Plasma cannon, as well as ability to fly or something cool would hit the spot for that vehicle
you can wheelie revanants wraiths and ghosts in reach, pressing the bumper buttons
I'm still waiting for the game where you can drive a Locust.
The Seraph of Halo Reach are also driveable. Pelican and Phantom can also be used in the campaign
Would love this kind of video for some of the Halo Wars vehicles like the Condor and Vampire
@@dawson3152 I'm playing around with idea of something like that.
That Broadsword trench run level was great. Not to mention the music on that mission was S-tier
@@ryancarter2959 the best music in halo 4 imo
It was pure ass until I remembered you can pull back the stick to slow down.
Honestly maybe my favorite Halo vehicle I think, I want it back 😤
The razorback technically makes its first appearance in Halo 3, one one mission where I think you leave the base and leave through a dark garage.
There has been footage of the falcon in halo infinite for 2 years :(
My favorite part of the hornet is that you can get a 3rd person standing on top
Fun fact you actually forgot to mention the anti-air wraith which was only featured in halo 3 on the missions the storm and the ark as well as the covenant in that order, it was actually pilotable if you use the headshot glitch on the Wraith driver (it was my favorite vehicle in Halo 3)
God, i wish the Spectre, Revenant, Mantis and Falcon were all around together since at least Halo 2 (maybe Halo 3 for the Mantis). I'd love to drive either of the Covenant ones in Firefight too. The Prowler is also very cool, but it replacing the Spectre always made me sad.
big respect for operator helmet usage
@@porphyrienne my favourite Halo helmet since 2010. A crime you have to pay for it in Infinite.
@ paying for it infinite is less of a crime than what they did to it in halo 4
Some people forget how OP the Forklift could be in Reach. It could left you skip the entire final 1/4th (or 1/3rd) of the Nightfall level. You could park it right next through a gate (that is normally suppose to open after you fight off some Hunters and Jun places a bomb on the jamming tower) and if you exit the Forklift just right, it would clip you through the door. On top of that, if you did this, it doesn't spawn any enemies for the rest of the level so you can just run to the end without having to worry about the immediate Phantom or the multiple Shade Turrets in the next area.
Halo Wars 1&2 Hornets: Am I a Joke to you?
The death is just like I remember it lol
Maybe some day we can have all the vehicles, from all the Halos(even Wars) in a single and multiplayer game.
Spectre my beloved
The spectre was probably my favorite vehicle in halo 2
Man, I love the falcon. People rightfully call it a death trap in multiplayer but I think it would fit perfectly in infinite. It would make a good counter to the other air vehicles and it could be the only aircraft which can survive a head on hit from a skewer.
I wonder why the Razorback isn't a closetopped vehicle like troop carriers in real life.
The Falcon was in the Arcade Shooter Fireteam Raven
The Falcon is in Halo Wars 2. It’s just stripped of its weapons and instead heals your troops. It’s called the Nightengale
Who didn’t try to make that jump in the box truck 😂
Revenant is the wraith's younger brother and the ghost's cousin. What does that family tree look like?
Great video, brings back even better memories!
Gotta ask, tho, whats up with the lampshading editing? U've got a solid script, there's no need to distract a viewer from the topic with a text blurbs pointing out a every negligible voice-over mistakes. The video's tight, have the confidence that u earned!
I want to see the black and yellow anti-armor warthog from the HALO CE PC port actually get used in a proper halo game against vehicles and armor. With the unguided rockets of course
If I made a Halo game I would 100% have that spectre as one of the vehicles! 😂
The Hawk and the Vulture from Halo Wars. They would have been brilliant in one of the first person games.
@@Chrisey96. Imagine a mission flying the vulture, it could be like the AC130 mission from CoD
I *miss* the Falcon, man…
I miss phaeton its so amazing vehicle in halo 5
As much as give Reach grief for lore and competitive reasons. The music really hits.
Hornet & elephant is goated.
Imagine you and your buddies in a mg turret and a rocket gif driving around and then over a hill comes a revenant and the spectre (I have a mega spectre and prowler too)
Forever mad the grenade launcher Falcon only appears in like two minutes of one campaign mission, not even Forge World
buddy forgot the rally warthog
on the razorback, are we forgetting the troop transport hog from both 3 and reach?
Everyone forgets halo wars
I totally did do that with the Falcon in New Alexandria no way!
tthe elephant would make for some intense fights.
3:11 or clear the pelican covies, grab the rockets and meet to prowlers head on. One shot each will drop the brutes and leave the vehicle intact
