The new DAN Case A4 H2O builds upon the original, keeping a tiny footprint, but with extended hardware support for 240mm AIOs, triple slot GPUs and more. I assembled a high-end build inside of the new case to put it through its paces.

To be fair, a better-planned component selection would have made this a super clean build.
True, useing a AIO with tubes come out the side of the pump, removing the bottom panel for cable management and do not route the 24pin through the same hole like the tube would do the trick :)
You must be new here, lmao.
Not sure why he would use that AIO unless it was a sponsor agreement thing. Idk.
this case sucks
@@Subdubbin Probably because it's the only one he had laying around that wasn't in a build, and he wanted to get this video out quickly, so he didn't tear down anything. Just my guess.
slick looking case! for me, the real trick with the cables is getting PSU's with sleeved cables. they're so much more flexible. to eat up cable length I create "S" shapes so that I can take as much or as little cable as needed while trying to reach pins and ports. with the AIO tubes, I usually twist the radiator (or pump) so that when installed, the tubes make a sort of cork screw shape, this allows the tubes to coil as you button everything up. it also forces the tubes one direction or another depending on your configuration, helpful for keeping tubes from pushing and putting too much pressure on the RAM sticks.
...and that concludes Jared's tech tips, goodnight everyone! lol
Are you planning to pre-order the case, Jared? Also, any idea if it'll be available for pre-order in Canada?
Imma send this video to my girlfriend, thanks Kyle!
Lmao
Lmfaaaooo
Same lmao 😂
What a legend
i am going to send this to my non existent girlfriend
AIO with tubes that come straight off the face of the pump are kind of a no-no for a large majority of SFF builds. They just needlessly make things more complex than they have to be
What AIO was he using btw?
@@ensiel4738 Fractal Design Celsius S24 BKO
Thank you for this build log video :)
Some hints:
- You can remove the bottom plate for much easier cable rounting on SFX-L
- Route the 24pin over the bottom
- Better use a AIO where the tubes comes out of the side not the top
- Route the AIO tubes visualized in the manual
Manual? Real men don't read manuals! xD
Haven't you said before you had basically nothing to do with the creation of this case?

why blur out the “Radeon” Logo on your wall mounted pc ? just curious tbh
New GPU under NDA?
Was thinking the same
There's also blurring on the MSI logos on a couple X570 mobo boxes in the sponsor segment. Not sure why those would be blurred.
@@NoGoodNoob No, that's the waterblock that came with the EK-Quantum Power Kit, an all AMD watercooling thing they sent to reviewers last year (and you can buy for 900 USD!).
He took an Nvidia Sponsor probably or something along those lines. One part of a sponsor agreement can be to not show, indorse or mention competition or subsequent brand products.
I always recommend tuning your GPU and CPU voltages/clock speed. I have a mild OC on my 3090FE with a decent undervolt, and I have a -30 offset on my Ryzen 9 5900x which results in a sustained higher clockspeed, though this isn't OC'd. Doing SFF is always a bit more of a challenge, but it's well worth it if you like having desk space.
i have a -30 offset on my 5600x and an undervolted 3080 ftw3 in my nr200, temps are great.
Any guide to undervolt Ampere? I am interested to push higher clocks with lower voltage. I am watercooling a 3090 STRIX OC with EKWB's Quantum Vector blocks, also the active backplate version. Temps are insanely low, but I want to push more performance cause it runs into the 480W power wall.
I like to do things the hard way: proceeds and builds in an A4-H2O without removing the bottom panel to help with the power cables routing....
Why was the Radeon GPU blurred out on the Wall-mounted PC?
Thank you buddy, love your content and wanted to support the channel. Just picked up an Ensemble M desk mat. You helped me build my computer back in 2018. Keep going strong!
Well played. I've missed these styles of videos from you. Well played
Glad to see you can kind of YOLO it while building in this case. Which means with some research and some custom cables you can make a pretty clean rig.
4:08 I disagree, it is much bigger. If it's just going to be sitting on your desk, then the difference is not significant. But if you're going to be carrying it places (which the original A4-SFX was designed for), then it will make a big difference. You can't fit this new case in a backpack easily, it's much bulkier. The steel makes it heavier too. At this new size, there are better options imo. The NCase M1 being one, I'm glad I got mine before it got discontinued.
Cry
Both my Formd T1 and my Ncase M1 fit into around the same backpacks, and it's due to the length more than anything. The difference between the original dan case and the c4 lengthwise is only 1mm. OG dan case is 326 and the h20 is 327. The Ncase is actually larger than the h20. Ncase is 338mm x 160.6mm x 255.5mm 12,7 L and the H20 is 244 x 140 x 326mm, 11,1L.
Yes, that is significantly larger. But, it trades that for better compatibility. It is a great compliment to the original rather than a replacement.
That's what she said. (couldnt help it)
Both cases are very efficient in what they can fit. Some people like the term performance/litre as a metric. And both cases would be pretty high up there.
Why is the GPU on your wall mounted PC blurred out?
I'm pushing a full loop with dual 240mm rads in an ncase M1. Someone mentioned component selection, that's Key to a clean, well fit SFF where there can be MM of clearance between equipment. Planning and research in advance is also important.
Why is the gpu blurred?
my best guess is Lyle Glued a picture of something nasty on it :) ´
"Not safe for work" XD
Probably a branding issue
It's a 3090 TI.
It was a request from the sponsoring brand. Probably too much hardware porn.
@Bitwit why did you blur the Radeon logo at the beginning of the video?
Maybe Nvidia sponsored?? I’m not sure to be honest.
We need micro ATX cases !!!! Who’s going to make a new design supporting MATX and be small still.
Well maybe at some point we could see an MATX with all the power delivery onboard as that would remove the power-supply size from the equation as their would be one
Or at the very least onboard 12v to everything else with a gumbrick 12v only PSU
SAMA IM01 😉
I feel like a good matx case is redundant because matx motherboards are made to fill the cheaper end. There aren't much good matx boards.
SFF and "painful assembly process" goes hand in hand. After I put together my last rig in a FormDT1, I've decided that there is such a thing as "too small" and my next rig is probably gonna be in a NR200 or a Meshlicious case instead.
SFF doesn't have to be painful to build in, as long as you've got the right bits. I've got a Meshlicious (with 280mm EK AIO, 5800X, RTX 3070, SF750) and it was a very easy build process, far easier than this new Dan Case especially. For its size I think the Meshlicious is incredibly easy to build in, and still probably the easiest in the SFF class. I did employ the popular standoff mod (much like what Bitwit did in this vid, I used 2 x 20mm brass standoffs to raise the PCIE riser bracket for clearance for all my cabling through the middle of the case) which greatly improved my cable mgmt and getting a super clean end result. Highly recommended!
Meshlicious is an amazing case, I'm using it with a 5900x and 2080ti and runs great.
NR200 is amazing.
Doesn't that Fractal AIO have standard fittings? I suppose you could have changed the hoses out to something more manageable, but I suppose that also introduces other issues. Nice little build still!
@Bitwit there is a hard setting on the Celicus coolers if you accidentally turned the cap on the pump, you switched it to quiet mode, which even with my brothers 2700x allows temps to get up to 75C
Why did you blur the GPU in your wall build???
Love the new case and the pricing is great for me. Thanks for doing a build video to show what I can put in the case.
PCIE 3.0 riser cable can be switched later for PCIE 4.0 version ? It is just difference in cables, case dimensions are the same for both X3 and X4 version ?
Hey Kyle, why was the Radeon logo blurred out?
Hello,
Quick question, how did you power your itx system on your dual system setup on the phantek 719 case?
The blur on the RADEON badge on your water block at the start has me like O.o
why is the radeon logo blurred? in the begining of the video
Feels like they are moving closer to a slightly smaller NR200. I'm glad that I waited as I have a 3900x and wanted to go AIR in the NR200P, but may go with this instead as I have the same AIO already in an H200 case.
What Radeon card was blurred out in the intro?
I know this is a long shot but I’ve got the same mb. I can’t build anymore until I remove the 2 brackets for the cooler however one of the screws is completely stuck. Using the right tool the other 3 came off no problem however the last screw will not budge. Any tips?
Nice Case! Definitely an my top list. A little bit of research about the supported hardware would have solved all his problems.
This has been a quite long awaited review. Thanks, Kyle!
Dude...I reminded to the beginning of this video about 4 times trying to hear the component specs! Only to find that you sprinkled it through out the build 😌
so the air going through the radiator fans are the hot air from the GPU and PSU?
why was the rgb logo on the wall mounted GPU blurred out? is it because this video isnt sponsored by them or that you didnt use that brand?
whats the deal with radeon being blurred out?
Why was the wall mounted censored?
I'm done with riser cable cases, so for now my Ncase M1 is the ultimate SFF case with a normal config.
Hold up.
Why is the Raedon logo on the GPU blurred out of your wall mounted PC?
My theory is that Nvidia must have sponsored the video, hence the lack of mention of Radeon or such. I may be wrong tho but thats my two cents.
That wallmounted pc is badass! Also why s the logo of that ekwb waterblock for the radeon rx6800 and 6800xt and 6900xt blurred? and Nice Itx pc
He took an Nvidia sponsor probably, hence why competitors Such as Radeon weren’t mentioned and in this case blurred as part of an agreement for the sponsor. Only RTX products are shown too… seems fishy to me.
@@P2PC that’s normal if he’s sponsored, people sponsored by Samsung don’t touch or use iPhones in public at least because they’re not allowed to

No price gouging. Unlike everyone 1.5 years ago.
There's no "bigger" version coming as there would be no point. This case already does it all without any compromise
Hi what aio was used in the thumbnail
Is there a blur on the GPU in the wall PC at the start of the video?
Yeah.... it just says Radeon (you can see it when his hand moves too close and the blur goes away). Not sure why.
@@HMarcBower Its happened before I think, Its probably because he took an Nvidia sponsor and as a result cant show or mention competitor products.
Love the video and the build
Why is the radeon logo on your wall mounted pc blurred out?
Maybe Nvidia sponsored the video? I’m not entirely sure myself.
Kyle the kraken x53 aio has side mounted hoses on its AIO that are adjustable and would work perfect for this case
With modular power supplies, for ITX builds I normally connect the cable first then plug it into the PSU after managing the cable… but that might just be me.
Once you lay the PSU, there is no space for you to maneuver to access the connectors, even less so if the power cables are thick.
I do the same thing. It's easier to plug all the power cables into the motherboards before attaching it to the psu.
why was the radeon logo on gpu blurred out
why is the gpu at the start blurred?
I think the price sounds a lot better. You can get an NR200p for $100-$120 so I see the cost difference for this as paying for it to be smaller.
4:54 Can someone explain why is rgb on the motherboard working even though the mb isn't plugged in?
what monitoring software is that showing the wattage ???

Isn't this case review supposed to release when pre-orders go live on February 9th.
I'm curious about the blurring of the Radeon logo on the water block of the wall mounted PC.
I’m not sure either, maybe Nvidia sponsored the video in some way, hence the lack of mention for AMD or Radeon through the video. I could be wrong though.
If I want to go for a more budget build would you recommend a Cooler Master NR200 as far as small form factor cases go?
Is there a reason RADEON is blurred out on the GPU at the start of the video?
Because he took a sponsor from Nvidia. Hence why he only showed and mention Nvidia products.
hey what pc temp/performance monitor is he using
I was waiting on the Barnacules "ladies..." at the end of that intro lol
Why was the "Radeon" Logo in the beginning censored?
It looks like a swastika when spinning
@@Jraz1011 Nope that is wrong, because the card shown in the video is the special waterblock that was sendt to content creators, but only the standard air cooler would show up as sawstikas while spinning at a certain refresh rate.
Looks Great, But I still have to put a custom handle on it. Great video, Thanks. :)
I dig the wall mounted 😂
Why is Radeon blurred out in the 6900xt on the wall mount

One thing I would say would be great is custom cables. not for show but for optimal length.
You gotta get some right angle adapters or something for those cables on the wall mounted PC
Man, look at the dust ring on the original Dan case. Dan 2.0 looks nice man. I wish it came in other colors though.
What's with the blurring of the EK water block?
It’s because it says Radeon, the video is likely Nvidia sponsored, which explains the completely lack of Radeon or AMD throughout.
Why did you blur the Radeon logo?
Kyle, this video made me feel better about what I did this week. I built a PC for a customer at work and made a bet with a coworker that I would be able to get it to post on first try. I didn't. I found out during troubleshooting that the original issue was that I didn't push the GPU all the way in. Also found out that the Intel CPU was a KF series requiring the discrete card. I panicked when I pulled the card and the onboard graphics didn't work.
why was the Radeon logo covered in the intro?
I want it but cannot see it sold anywhere
on the matter of psu, I have a 3950x, and am getting the same card you used in this system. I have a RM750x (2018) Corsair. Should I get a 850w, or a 1000w?
why was the radeon logo blurred??
why blur the GPU??
Hey Kyle, what's the parts used ,thanks dude
If you would have used 90 degree adjustable hoses it would have made the build 20x more clean looking, but still very helpful in helping me find parts for my A4 that I will be getting.
When is this case coming out and available for sale? I thought they said January.
i loved the style of the dan case so much i tried to make my own but bigger never finished the cad :/
what the aio brand sir?
do you know why the upcoming Lancol 3 is going to have 4 hard drive cages?
Why did you censor out “Radeon” on the wall-mounted PC?
Either because Nvidia sponsored the video, or the GPU is the new 6950XT and Kyle got a sample early? Probably not though. Something’s up for damn sure.
Yeah definitely don't bend the tubes like that. I had my NZXT X61 tubes bent in a similar way but not that tight and one day one of the tubes just cracked and all the coolant leaked out.
Or just don’t do water cooling
@@davidchillton1744 that's kinda the point of the case though. there are a lot of AIOs with adjustable tubes that come out from the side of the block, it would be much preferred to use these in this case.
@@davidchillton1744 I agree that good air coolers perform the same compared to even the best AiO CLCs out there, but it just won't fit inside this case. To cool a 5900X without an AiO in this case, going custom is the only way. If you got a 5950X, custom liquid cooling is mandatory.
@@kyoudaiken well he probably couldnt use an air cooler cause theres no space for air to flow well in there without any cooler outright
A disclaimer for first time small PC builders who happened into this video or doing research. A lot of the headache when building small PC's can be alleviated when you connect stuff first before mounting or screwing them. In big cases, you can just get away with sticking all the parts in and then connecting them later on but it's often the reverse when building small PC's. If you put parts in first before connecting your stuff, you'll find yourself squeezing your hands into uncomfortably tight crevices or be forced to remove stuff you've already screwed. So yeah, pre-route your cables and connect what needs to be connected before you mount and screw things into position.
basically don't watch this as a how to build in this case.. Its how not too. Optimum Tech did it well.
So it is a lian li q58 with better airflow and worse cable management?
God that RGB build in the background still looks beautiful
lmao that sponsored skit was pretty smooth.
I miss my small formfactor system. Sadly the tu150 was suffocating my 3080 and fans wouldn’t fit under it. Even super slim ones.
