SOOO was the dual 4090s worth it???😅
my goal of 2024 is to become more active on this channel and get more personal with you guys. Hope you enjoyed!💙
Update:
Turns out it was my pc broke because that CPU was done for. I put it into another pc and after 10 minutes it froze up 😬 scary
sell the other parts and trash out the cpu
It was not worth it. It has no upgrade in performance at all with no SLI. It's just a 3 thousand dollar decoration piece.
Nevermind, you are using this for rendering. I still don't think it's worth it still though because the second 4090 is running slower due to the slower PCIE lane on the mobo.
oh yeah make sure to go get sag brackets to stop the 4090s from sagging after a while especially the one on the bottom since it only has 2 slots
The balancing on this isn't good, the second GPU runs slower, plus no sli, so unless your rendering in 2 different programs at once, or if your rendering and gaming at the same time. You should've just put more money into your CPU and/ or waited for a 4090 super, if that was released, I don't remember
@@acceptablexy4805 yessir good catch! I did end up installing 2 brackets off cam. they some thick bois

@@prakhardixit6491Is that on for default in most laptops? What’s the performance hit if you turn it off?
money doesn't buy knowledge. You NEED to turn these bottom fans around. This configuration will blow air away from your gpu fans. Your gpu is fighting for it's life there. Turn the bottom and the top fans around so bottom is intake and top is exhaust.
You're right money doesn't buy knowledge

@@christoolshed7746 tbh pretty easy to push a 10k to the limit specially with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or Ai training or 3d rendering like that case. Im using dual 3090s in SLI and is cheaper than a single A6000, and bro I aways wish I had money to have dual A6000 when I get out-of memory messages.

Ayo, the fact you added your logo animation for the water cooler display is tight AF! 💪
AYE thanks Xtra!
Done the same with mine. Created a whole ass new animation in AE and it's so cold
Normally dual 4090 is way too ridiculous but you actually need them...
Seeing those blender numbers astounded me. Thought 2 4090s was ridiculous til I saw the end. Good video.
the clarity you bring to your subjects is beyond impressive!
As an it guy the bottom 4090 at x4 sooooo it might be a bit bottle neck and under used … 😅 maybe change the motherboard to an x670e creator or any dual x8 so you’ll be able to use the 2nd 4090 at full power 😅😊
There's those motherboards :
MPG X670E CARBON WIFI
MEG X670E ACE
MEG X670E GODLIKE
X670E Taichi
Proart X670E Creator
getting a budget gaming motherboard for a dual 4090 workstation is truly a waste...
@@wpdlatm5576 sometimes people aren't PC enthousiaste so it's important to teach them 🤷♂️😇
ignorance is bliss shhh
I don't think bus width is that big of a concern with GPU rendering, as once the scene is loaded in VRAM the GPU can does all the processing on its own without talking to system memory much. The only exception is if the scene exceeds the VRAM and pools over into system memory, which you'd avoid at all costs as it is orders of magnitude slower, and in some render engines less stable.
Never knew bro knows alot about PC builds, you killed it with those dual 4090s 🔥🙏
Oh he does not, I was suspecting the same thing someone else pointed out above, the new 4090 is underutilized just cause of the wrong motherboard

Flip your top fans and use it as exhaust, then the bottom fans for intake.
Another dude with money with no clue..
Probably one of the only people to have a dual 4090 pc
crazy.
That ultra-wide 4090 got the Sawed-off Shotgun treatment.
you should change the fan orientations so it pulls in from the bottom and out the top (because heat rises)
quick tip, your airflow configuration isn't optimal AT ALL and you're most likely leaving a lot of performance on the table becuase of it, easy fix tho
Your top 3 fans mounted on your aio radiator are set to intake and your 3 bottom fans are set to exhaust, not optimal because the 3 bottom ones are pushing air out of your case right in front of the 3 fans of your second 4090, you should get the bottom 3 fans as intake so you get fresh air from underneath the case and it'll get fed directly to your bottom 4090.
Your top 3 fans should be set as exhaust because right now they're getting fresh air in, which instantly passes through your aio rad and gets hot from it, so the air you're getting in is already hot.
Hot air tends to rise up while cooler air tends to stick closer to the ground, same with a room halfway filled with smoke, the smoke sits closer to the ceiling than it does to the floor, so the best airflow setup would be intake at the bottom (just flip the fans) to get fresh air in, and exhaust at the top to get hot air out of the case. Your side fans are set up correctly but the top/bottom ones will cost you performance because all your components will run hotter. Hope this was helpfull, would be a shame to leave performance out in such an OP rig. Have a great day !
Thanks for the advice! I've actually gotten a few comments mentioning this. I'm gonna fix it!
In the end it doesn't make much difference. Hot air / cold air does make a difference in a passive system, but even a small 120mm would completely remove that effect. Make sure you have more fans intaking than exhausting to maintain positive pressure, if you can get intake close to the GPU it's better, but you can have intake for your rad aswell. Without dividing up the airflow with a proper divider you won't do more than a couple of fps.
just rip the walls off and stick the pc on your ac vent. W cooling.@@Ryan12th
@@oskarwallin8715 with how much he's spendng taking 10-20 mins to swap the direction of the fans is probably worthwhile
Honestly this whole dual 4090 set up is shit, High end GPU shouldn't even have air cooling after some point. A 4 slot card just doesn't make sense just pay an experienced builder a 100 bucks for some water cooling at that point
Now the waiting time reduces!! Good for ya man, but yea it costs your life savings for satisfaction. W vid
I guess when you use a substantial amount of money you can buy time. Awesome video!
Awesome build! I have the same case and it's tricky to fit all the cables in there. Lian Li fans can run 3 fans on 1 cable which is really helpful!
That fan orientation tho, just proves that with unlimited amount of money you cant buy knowledge on how to build a pc the right way😂
Thats a great idea xD i just got my msi suprim x 4090 last week. Not doing blender so a second wouldnt be worth it to me but hey, its a phenomenal idea
Hey man, Shout out From the US Marine Corps! Gotta say I love your video brotha! Very awesome. Keep up the great work! ❤🤍💙💛
Ah yes, you had to either remove some metal part which does nothing and you probably can even replace it, from a $190 case or literally shave off the metal part from the $2300 GPU and you went for the second option,
The most logical, analytical decision ever, besides building a dual 4090 PC, with a loan money too. This is too much of a human absurdity in the morning, just woke up minutes ago.
And the part had screws to undo it also.
