- Earlier this year we spent a week in Moab to do some wheeling. While out there, we met up with some family to install our #SteerSmarts products on their Jeep Gladiator in hopes that we might inspire someone who wasn't feeling 100% confident installing the parts themselves. Even those who are confident with the install, this video might have some helpful tips to make your install go as smoothly as possible.

@Steer Smarts Would love to see more install videos, very helpful.
Nice work Andy!
Lower adjustable control arms will put the axel back in it stock location when lifted the axel twist forward and drive line changes it best for anything over 2.0 inches. On the jL and JT if one looks at the steering bx you can watch the frame flex so there a bracket that can be bought to stiffen all that up.
We have a sector shaft brace with track bar reinforcement bracket available for the JL/JT as well as the JK. We recommend anywhere from 5.5-6.5 degrees of caster on the JL/JT depending on the height of lift you’re running.
All he needs now is the yeti track bar reinforcement bracket.
Its a shame all that work was done on a 2020 model. The 2020 has an aluminum steer gear (steer box) that flexes causing loose wondering steering. 2021 model was upgraded to cast iron steel for stiffness and the problem has been corrected.
I purchased all the parts question I have is will the track bar work with an ARB diff cover?
This relocation bracket did not work for me with the Steer Smarts Stabilizer like it did for you it's like a millimeter off. The bushings were lengthier on the steer smarts stabilizer than the stock, and I have had to keep using another stabilizer in its place until I can get it figured out.
What is the ft lbs of torque on the drag link collar bolts once you straightened the steerin wheel? Great Video Thanks
45 lb ft on the clamp bolts for tie rod and drag link - front adjustable track bar clamp bolts are 65 lb ft
Just imagine adding the sector brace 😳
Was there enough room to get a torque wrench over the draglink at the pitman arm?
There really isn’t room with a standard torque wrench. We are working on a tool that would allow you to use a torque wrench to achieve the proper torque.
@@SteerSmarts Any update on that tool?
@@dr.e.jordanblanche8309 not yet but will make sure to talk about it in our new products meeting next week.
Why did you use a relocation bracket on the track bar?
That is a stabilizer relocation bracket, not a track bar relocation
What did you set the toe at?
We recommend 0.5˚ of total toe out, and this is based on a ton of closed course testing.
Can't find the toe plates on the website
We're working on a redesign and should hopefully have them back up for sale on the site by the spring of '23
Parts list?
