Great vid, I’ve installed this kit a few times and a quick tip for that bump stop spacer is to drop the bolt and spacer into the hole, mark the bottom, take it out, thread the nut on to that point, and cut most of the excess off👍🏼
Teraflex stickers are a guaranteed 10 extra horsepowers... Been running Falcons for about a year now and I’m extremely happy with their performance. Got to end of vid; would def like to hang with y’all! I’m on the southeast NC coast; Come to the beach and get some sand time! 😎🤙🏼
I’m running the 3.3’s on my JK, changed my whole perspective on my rig. I absolutely love them, and the adjustability really takes care of that harshness you were talking about at lower speeds. Granted it helps when you know the terrain ahead. Really looking forward to what’s in store for your Gladiator.
Did the 1.5” kit on my new ‘23 Willys, which in stock condition had the stance of a stink bug. The leveling kit in full 1.5” did the job, sits nice & level and retains the stock ride. To get the caster back I added the liver control arms from the Mopar 2” lift. I also added Teraflex’s 2” shock travel kit, which restores the stock shock travel & a bit more. All works great. Next may be those Falcons!
The leveling kit looks like a really good option. I have heard the falcon shocks are good quality. hope you keep your nuts tight from now on. You know that if your car works without the parts you took off, that you made it better.
Got to meet Ben wheeling his Gladiator on the OHV trails at Uwharrie National Forrest last weekend and he was a SUPER NICE guy! I accidentally mistook him for another UA-camr at first, and I think he was only a little insulted :)! Wanted to say sorry for that mistake and thanks for this and all his videos! Keep 'em coming!!!
Ben, when do do eventually do a full lift kit how much lift are you thinking about? My Gladiator is on 3” of lift with 38” Patagonias and I think 4.5” would have been better to get the belly up higher. I’ve definitively been using the skid plates that’s for sure
I wonder why they call it the Carolina Squat. People out here in San Diego started that look back in the early 90’s, because there are so many deserts and places to off/road/prerunner. Most people could only afford to do front end long travel and coil overs($4-8k) on their truck and would do the rear when they were able to save up another $4K.
I did the same TeraFlex leveling kit on Becca's Jeep way back when. It was the first "Jeep mod" I ever did. You have seen my Falcon 3.3s. I am curious on how the mono-tubes feel. I do like that they put shaft guards on the JT version like they did for the TJ.
I am with you 100% on the Carolina squat thing! I am going to watch all your videos much more closely! I feel like I am going to be doing just about everything you tape lol
Very interesting to watch your progression on small lift and fox socks. Looking forward to 37 and what is involved in that change over. Keep up the good work. OMB
you do NOT by a rubicon and use a SHITTY FUCKING levelling kit!!!!! they look like SHIT!! levelling kits are garbage !!!! AND THEY LOOK LIKE SHIT!! handling goes to shit !!! try towing like this and your lights point to the sky and dangerous handling!! AND THEY LOOK LIKE SHIT!! buy a complete lift !! not half a lift !! AND DONT LOOK LIKE SHIT!! outlaw shitty looking levelling kits ASAP!!!
Jose Ortiz it wasn’t bad at all. It was done on a lift. It was part of a massive overhaul tho. Went from stock to long arm kit new axle etc. I’ve seen them swapped on the trail tho. As long as you can drop the axle enough it’s not bad at all.
Good call on the Falcons.. You should add a 3/4 to 1" spacer to the rear springs if you plan on going to 37's... *Which you have sitting in the yard. You look a little higher in the front, but that could be the video....
In this video it does look a little higher up front. After a day, the springs re-settled and it’s down .25”. I’m thinking of the rear spacers, we will see what needs to be done when the 37s are on. Thanks for watching 🤘
What if I jacked the Jeep up, dropped the axel as far as it could go, took a spring compressor shrink the spring down enough to get it out without unbolting anything. Would it work?
Bought this kit from ET and had a shop install it. Drivers side spring seems to bow out towards tire. Ride and hight is dead on just worried it's not normal.
Curious on long-term tolerance of the stiffer shocks. I see that you since replaced them, but wanted to know if wife and kids complained how stiff the Falcons are? Needless to say, stock rubicon is little too cushy for me.
Impressed by how easy that was! Great video! Forgive my solid front axle ignorance, but no alignment needed after that install?? I've been a driving a Tacoma for WAY too long 😊
Hi mate , thanks for the cool videos! Just wanted to know where you got that black netting, that’s sitting in the bed of the gladiator which is holding your jerry can?! What do you call that and where can I get it from pls?! 🙏🏾 thx mate
I want to put the same TeraFlex leveling kit on my 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 4 door. Where do you recommend that I buy it? Do you have a link? Also, I’m planning to put 35s on my factory wheels. Will I need to put on wheel spacers for that? Thanks, Ned from King, NC
I totally dislike the factory rake, I’m binging everything I can until my gladiator can catch a ride from the factory….you said the fish eye camera might not have show the right stance for the level kit. I was looking at the body line in the bed and rear cab, and it looked like it was nose high?
great video, do you recommend switching out stock shocks. i did the 1.5 inch spacer lift and jeep rides a little ruff compared to without them.. what is your thought on shock adapters vs shock replacement?
Your video is so helpful! I was planning to do the same leveling kit. My question is since I am lifting the trunk, do I need to add a track bar, geo bracket, or do alignment kind of things? I know when you install a 2-inch spacer lift kit, it would be great to add those things. But seems like people just add a 1.5-inch leveling kit and that's all. Why is that? Thank you!
At such a small height such as 1.5” you can get away with leaving some of the stock components. Over time, a set of front adjustable lower control arms and an adjustable trackbar would be beneficial to get it perfectly in spec, but 1.5” kinda keeps everything justttt close enough without noticeable negative effects.
I see. So in this video, did you go with Falcon 2.1 right? What did you pick for the height? 0-1.5? Does it that mean the shock is adjustable for 0 to 1.5 inch? Or does it mean you will fit with any 1.5 inch lift? By adding thoes shocks, did you want to replace the springs? Thank you so much!@@JKGearandGadgets
Forgot to ask you. What are the torque values for the bolts you either took out or lose Ed to put the leveling kit on? Also, what is the proper torque on the lug nuts? Thanks.
Didn't you find the 2.1 shocks limit your uptravel due to the extra length of the shock body? I know you can install a bump stop but it kinda defeats the purpose of having a high articulation vehicle. The 3.1 or 3.3 is apparently a better choice because some of the shock body is moved outboard which allows for more travel. Let me know ?
Great stuff abs very helpful. Has anyone lifted a High Altitude Gladiator and any suggestions on a 2-3” lift ?? The fenders are about 1,5” lower than Rubicon so I’m not going larger than a 35”. Thank you all. And keep up the great content.
You are right I have a 2019 ram rebel and I was shopping for new shocks. I got the falcons, the truck now feels amazing, Very planted , it makes a big difference with the falcons
What height/size of jack stand and floor jack specs. Lastly, did you loosen the left and right control arms prior to install as I have seen some tubers do or loosen them prior to setting it down on the ground?
You just need to straighten the steering wheel. Loosen nut on drag link adjuster, turn it until wheel is straight, tighten bolts. Adjust again as needed. 5 minute job
I forgot one thing. The wheel was fine after the leaving kit was installed. This all started today when I got my first rotation. I’m wondering if I have a bad tire with radial pull and it just became noticeable when they moved a rear tire up front. I don’t know of if I should go back to the dealership or to the alignment shop. Ugh.
Sure make me wish I woulda got a jt over my jlu but rubicons are pretty expensive for a new one, went from a gmc truck to a jku rubicon love it but sure like the bed like the level kit and wheels you put on man
Would those rims be considered gunmetal grey? If not, do you know how they’d compare to that color? Also, what is the backspacing and/or offset? Great video, thanks!
Ok so I’m preparing to do this at some point. When you lower the axle like you did at around 04:26 is there any possibility of damaging the frame/axle?

Thanks for the info! One last question, at least on this video!, when I buy these kits and shocks do they have torque measurements on the instructions? I’m super paranoid about not tightening things enough but I would have a peace of mind with my torque wrench and knowing the amounts.
Just installed a 1.5" level and take off Rubicon suspension on my gladiator. Do you think it really needs an alignment? My steering wheel is still straight with no pull. You just going to let it ride?
You know the jeep is growing up when it’s nuts start dropping😂

4 yr old video I know, but I used this video to help install my 1.5” Teraflex kit today. Helped out alot, thanks for posting this one 🤙🏻
How it riding? Does it feel like stock?
Hi. Can I add a leveling kit to the Mopar 2 inch lift kit? I wish I had just a big more height but I just got the lift kit installed.
You weren't kidding. That bump stop bolt is ridiculous. Thanks for the video, made the install go super quick.
Great vid, I’ve installed this kit a few times and a quick tip for that bump stop spacer is to drop the bolt and spacer into the hole, mark the bottom, take it out, thread the nut on to that point, and cut most of the excess off👍🏼

Can I use the same leveling kit?
Thank you
Hi mate when have your 35 on: did you have to re gearing: your jeep
I'm still wondering where that bolt came from, at first I thought it came from the upper shock mount 🤔
Same man. It had to be an extra upper shock bolt from the factory. To this day I have not found a missing bolt anywhere haha
Will you ever do a bed liner
Yep! And I’ll make a video on DIY
I like your plug for Gill in the description! OE is the place to go!
Is it possible to avoid taking most of these components off if you just use a spring compressor instead?
Just did the teraflex budget boost on fiance's jlu, that bump stop nut on passenger side is a pain even with the wrench
Good video, and you showed the installs well. But for one, I am not a fan of “spacer lifts”. Get a 4” lift and call it done
I will eventually! But this is a good step for someone who is unsure what lift to run/can’t afford a full kit yet

Is it actually necessary to loosen the lower control arm bolts? And if so do you retighten them when it's on the ground or while it's still jacked ?
Yes, otherwise the bushings will be in a bind. Tighten them back up when it’s on the ground.

After adding the 1-1/2" Teraflex Leveling Kit was a front end alignment needed?
No. But if your steering wheel is off, it’s just a 15mm socket and a turn of the drag link adjuster to fine tune it in if needed. 5 min driveway job
