Marcel Irnie too much fluff in most reviews of new motorcycles. Lol.
I was recently playing around with the launch control on my RSV4 for the first time. Matching it with the correct wheelie and traction control setting can make for the perfect repeatable launch.
I'm considering trading for the new RSV4 non RF when it hits the states. The new R1 is very tempting too with standard mag wheels, aluminum fuel tank, mag sub frame and engine covers, and the awesome electronics. Not to mention the gorgeous display screen.
Choices choices. Good time to be a liter bike rider.
Man this is one of the best sounding bikes in stock form. There are a lot of good choices for liter bikes. I would love a BMDUB but don't know if I could pass up on an new R1
jrTall26 not sure what special sound you heard, but it sounds like any other 1000cc inline 4 bikes
stock no way man. A lot of bikes have no character in their sound stock

Excellent review Marcel Irnie . The 2015 is something to behold. My HP4 is pretty awesome; however, the 2015 S1000RR has a few nice added extras. Looking forward to seeing this turn into the race bike. Make sure you do a time lapse video showing the transformation. As always mate; ride safe and ride hard. Hopefully we see some podiums or maybe even a race win or two.

I love the bike. Ridden about 4 of them now (just the first 15 break in miles) I haven't been able to mess with the pit limiter yet but I love the lean angle indicator and brake force indicator. Gonna be a great race bike for sure.
You should definitely do a mod video as you install all of those parts!

just wanted to say I enjoy your videos and your edits. Whoever is picking the music it rocks. I recently bought a 15 S1000R with the ES and goodies and brought it to the Penguin Track Day which is more like a open race practice. Your review of the bike is spot on. Thank you for posting it and also for posting your race videos as it motivates many of us to pursue track riding even if we are over 50.

You should get a NEO Neurophone to wear when you race. I wear one when I ride and it makes a huge difference in my focus and when i'm doing track days. Plus it would go well with your bike keeping the whole Neo thing going haha. Nice review man, thanks for the upload

Great review! Not everyone should have it though as we all have different riding styles and what we want to experience in a motorycle. For me personally your review was extremely useful as I'm currently debating getting this or the GSXR

I like that you said, for a street rider, the stock suspension is just fine. I am looking at purchasing one of these bikes for next summer (saving my pennies), and I've been curious whether the DDC is worth it. By the sounds of it, if they are charging a whole lot more for that option, I'll skip it. Thanx!!!!

I'm sure I read that you can alter the engine breaking in user mode in a mag review in Oz.
mintpaul User mode doesn`t do much.. It only allows the change from `Slick to Race, or Rain`individually for POWER', DTC, and ABS.

Why would you set Power setting from `Slick to `Race?!
I thought the power is the same, just DTC, throttle and ABS different between the 2 modes

vrracing Yes, iI believe it is the best OEM street bike, but I have not ridden the other 2015 bikes to compare.
Marcel how do you become a pro-racer on bikes? Also what are some tips for going those high speeds while racing? My main concern is what to do in the case of wobbles...

As a street bike, the OEM is all we need.
The Daytona is like comparing Grapes to Peaches! Not same, or worth a comparison.
Yeh fairplay - I get that the Daytona is a very different beast but there are alot of folks out there like me that have, what they consider, to be the best of breed for 600's and are now looking for a litre bike step up.

guessing this is the premium package? do you get launch control with the standard version? The only other difference im seeing between the two is the premium package gives you all the goodies and standard is just missing the DDC.
