Man. I bought a bronze tier and went to redeem, but then It said only us people can participate. I'm Australian
You know you’re did an amazing job with engineering when people complain about your he bike being too good 😂 like who wants a bike with problems
Exactly
@@Try2KeepUpK It's really hilarious it's the same "criticism" the Street Triple gets.
Yeah sure 👍, "AmAziNg" job with engineering but still not half as reliable as the japanese and not to mention those service and maintenance costs, cost of spares etc. Apart from that, it's a great bike.
Yep, some people seem to like less than perfect bikes and call the shortcomings... 'character' 😂
@@rabidev.4938 I don't find the maintenance cost that much, and so far, my S1000R has been more reliable than my friend's Ducatis and Aprilias. Sure the Jap bike are a tad cheaper and a bit more reliable, but I'll still take the leader in engineering any day. What's funny is that it's reversed in the car world, when it comes to high end sport/track cars. BMWs are the inexpensive, in terms of ownership and maintenance lol. It's all relative.
I'm super surprised that you haven't mentioned the 9k rpm power loss in any of ur videos. This bike really needs at least a BT stage 1 or equivalent tune to really unleash the full fun factor
Very true. It gives 30% at full pin in 2nd
Had a neighbor who had one and would race on track days. One little tip over and a dented gas tank. $3000 later…
I mean yeah it’s a BMW what’d you expect on par for the course of expensive repair
He wouldn’t buy if he couldn’t afford another one 😜
Thats similar with any of the 1000cc superbikes. One peice of side fairing on a Yamaha or Honda is about 4 to 500 brand new. So imagine a new gas tank. It's normal dude. Bikes are expensive toys
so like any bike, had that happen on my zx6r 09
@@devilik3692i have an 09 zx-6r. 6500 rpm at 70 mph? Damn‼️ Thats what kind of rpm’s mine is pushing. Seems kinda high😂.
Very comfy bike. The ergonomics package is still quite committed but it won't have you doing push ups and writhing with back pain like the other liter bikes. Big thanks to those well positioned handlebars. Wide and not too low or high.
Hilarious that the thumbnail says “overhyped” when you’re the only one I’ve heard hype this bike all year
Its the best liter bike in its class flat-out. Only thing people say is it's "too perfect". Each his own though, me personally, I've never dove into a corner with my S1K and, said, "I wish this bike was crappier and had more 'character' [flaws]".
Though I'm no fan of advertising, I can only support online help! And riding as one of the best form of therapy
Yammie be like this bike is amazing and the best bike on the planet. I would to if i was giving it away when people purchased my merch 😂.
On a serious note I’ve owned a 2021 S1000RR and own a 50th anniversary Sao Paulo M1000RR they’re great bikes. Yammie laying it on thickkkkkkkk.
i did a test ride at bmw in germany and dude that bike is impressive... when you lay down on the tank the bike knows what you want it to do, like mind reading
If you turn the electronics off at the track it turns into a old ducati.
Ducati? 😮 I was thinking more GSXR as its closest comparator.
@@paulhope3401 The BMW is alot faster than a gsxr. The old ducati's are fast but difficult to ride fast.
@ThaBootyBandit Yeah, definitely... I was meaning more in ergo's and style than performance. BMW actually used a K5 Gsxr1000 as a blueprint for the very first S1000R.
@@paulhope3401BMW reversed engineered 10 Suzuki K5’s to make the S1000RR the father of the S1000RR is the Gixxer K5. That’s why it feels light and nimble and narrow like a 600 the same way the K5/6 does.
Crazy How expensive a S1Krr is in the States here in Germany a fully spec S1000rr Brand New from the dealer costs 19-20,5k Euros and Service is around 250-350euro
Do a review on the 2024 cbr500r and see if you think the new model has improved on the old one
Spoiler alert: the 2024 cbr500r is overpriced, slow, heavy... but good ergonomics and reliability... still garbage though 🤣
I'm really interested in this. Make it happen papi yam!
Would be nice but he's not gonna budge because there's no change to the engine firing order/power output.
They added winglets, tft and rider modes nothing else has changed.
@@shauns5278 and showa USD forks, dual disc brakes, lighter wheels, a new swing arm, new showa shock, pilot road 6 tires, new cam shaft, new pistons, new injectors, and it's 5 pounds lighter. All that has been updated since the 2019 model he reviewed.
layed down my Yamaha FZ 8 , needed a new rear wheel -> yamaha charged 990 Dollar for it. For that amount you get the forged wheels from BMW ... same goes for the "windshield" its naked bike, its basiclly a cover for the speedometer wich is super tiny, yamaha charged me 200 for that... so yeah not all is as it may seems
Where'd all the helmets and riding gear go on the website? I only see merch now
2024 cbr500r review when? I feel like its come a long way since your last review.
Have you ever done an episode on the Yamaha R6S? If not, could you please? :)
Thank you!
First service is £180. Don’t know how can be $700 in the states.
Im stuck between the s1krr or a speedy rr! 😮💨 Id love your opinion papa yam
R1 comparison didn’t age well the last 3 weeks 😔
Imagine option 719 with hard bags. You should have told them you wanted the coast to coast model. Cheers!
The most beautiful sport bike ever made. Good job BMW.
Its an amazing bike. Sold my 2021 Panigale and went into a RR, aside from the sound and Ducati red paint.. it beats it in every other way for the owner.
Base price is under 19K which makes it by far the best bang for your buck! For $2,500 more you can add all the extra bells to it, still making it the best bang for your buck. First service is also not $700 at most dealers, you got ripped.
Bmw needs a 600-750 it would get way more people into the bmw pipeline they have the 310 as a naked sports-ish bike then it’s 1000 and I think they could make a very competitive bike that would help out in the dying breed that is 600cc sport bikes
The F900R exists bro
wait, base trim $25K? hmmmm not sure if that is accurate. The S1000RR M package I would agree, not the base model. I believe the base is around 17k but good luck finding one because most dealers add at least a couple options. Turn off all the driving aids, add a brentune and then this bike definitely has some character, otherwise I do agree, this thing feels like a 600 under 8K RPM.
2018 model is monster looking legend . now toy looking two wheeler
i thougth the BMW S1000rr has a best eye in motorcycle world😊❤
I worked at a bmw dealership service. I you want to have alot of electrical problems with your bikes, its a good choices. In only one year, 5 cuatomers with a new s1000RR couldn't even ride their bike because it was stored in our shop because we couldnt find the problems 😂
For the part for warranty, it all depends where you live. In quebec, yiu can do everything yourself, you just need receipts proof
Everybody and their “electrical problems” with bmw. Every vehicle can have electrical problems.
Cool! A new sweepstakes to friggin lose money on again. I love giveaways. Odds & stats are overrated! 😝
Are you planning to test the Suzuki GSX 8S / 8R?
I waited so long for this review...
They dont need dealer service receipt to honor warranty. Been owning a 2021 since brand new. Only brought my bike to dealer to do warranty work. Never bee. Asked for receipts.
Maybe someone with more knowledge can shed some light on this for me... But I really can't see the point in 220bhp for the following reason. When you look at power maps the power seems to be restricted to say 60 percent and barely ever 80 or upwards for the majority of the power band probably worse with traction control on. At least with wired throttle you could choose how much power you have. They seem to massively limit the available power which seems to defeat the point.
If I won a bike like this I would ride until the next service is due just to check it out and then sell ASAP just because of the upkeep cost. I just bought an XR150L just because I don't need to go 190 MPH or spend that kind of money to maintain it and have my fun on a bike. More fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. And riding an almost 40K bike on the street would make me cringe just thinking how fast it could be totaled by an insurance company if I laid it down or some cager hit me like when I was young on my brand new FZ600. They broke my crankcase cover where it still held oil but, insurance called it totaled because it required full engine tear down to replace. Other than that this is surely a badass bike.
Jesus bro, the servicing is not expensive on these bikes
@@chalky042 I've been riding for almost 50 years and and the end of my riding life so I don't need to be spending 40K on a motorcycle I'll rarely ride and he said it himself in the video his first service which has to be done at the dealer was $700. That was probably an oil change and other fluid checks and adjustments. Wait until it needs bigger services. My other bike is the RD400 in profile PIC which I'd also rather ride.
@@RedBud315glad you managed to survive 50 years of riding bro, I have been running my gen 1 for the last 10k miles including doing my own big service, if I had a new bmw I’d 100% but it with a service pack because it makes sense to have a main dealer service history from new to preserve the value
@@RedBud315 The valve check is the only "big" service most people will likely run into (every 18K miles). It's about 1000 bucks if you have a dealer do it and the oil/air filter at the same time. Just the valves, it's around 600 bucks. I do everything else myself, oil is
I don't want to generalise but most of these bikes we all drool over are way out of our budget. Hence why most just stick to older or cheaper bikes.
bruh my 1st service was 165...
Just a fancy gsxr 1k
Got so many things wrong here. You CAN do your own maintenance without voiding warranty. First service doesn't cost half of what you stated. Also forgot to mention the 2023 S1k and all the upgrades from the previous models. I just hope your viewers do their own research when it comes to these bikes. Been riding rockets over 20 years. Coming from a life long Honda fan boy it Doesn't get much better than an S1K. I'm on my second one. "BMW scoff"
Good history lesson! Just bought a 23 S1000XR M package. Explains why this quick-shifter is the best in the market. I'm old (55), and spent the extra $$ on all of the extra nannies to keep the rubber-side-down. Looked at Ducati & KTM, but believe it or not, BMW reliability wins in this case. I know the XR is apples to oranges, but all of the RR goodness has trickled down and make my old FJ09 and older FZ1 seem like antiques! Brembo brakes stop on a dime. Active suspension is awesome. Wheelie control... check! And, still comfortable enough my wife will get on the back for a run for our $10 cappucinos 🤣 Yup, I'm a yuppie biker!
Am I the only one who likes the older version better?
Yes
Got the service package with my S1000rr.
Yess pls 0:09
The most wins of the Moto Grand Prix championships by a manufacturer is eight and was achieved by Honda (Japan) in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. why no mention of Honda poppa Noob?
Anyone wants a 2014 EBR (Buell) 1190RX, all customized. Carbon fiber and fiberglass fairings. Upgraded dash, just over 2000 miles on a new overhauled engine. Spare engine follow must be overhauled. Tons of other parts.
You would swear it’s the only bike out there. That’s all you see on UA-cam.
Where that single sided swing arm at though?
Why isnt there any gear on yammie noob website?
if they charged you $700 for the first service, you got shafted.....I was only charged $300 for my first service and $400 for my 6k service....
I'll tell you what I want, psst. It's a bmw alright.
But an r18 transcontinental. Or atleast ,that's what it is called in the market in this region.
So what's your opinion on that?
Waited ages for my brand new m1000 ..when I finally got it ...I was disappointed...was to Vanilla and terrible breaks..took it back and got a v4s ...and the ducati craps on it 😂 biggest waste of money I had ever spent
Why are you assuming what I want, I want the s1000rr not because I want to be better than others because I like the bike haha
the best beginner bike
i used to think of ferrari and ducati as similar brands as they both are italian and red...... but one is good and winning and the other is not....?
the most german motorcycle has a "nein nein nein" cc engine
None of those links for recommended gear will work for me, get 404 error.
s400rr to compete with zx4rr when?
Hell yes
Not a motorcycle channel telling me to go to therapy, like dude if I ever wanted to go to therapy I wouldn't be into motorcycles.

Official!!!!!! BMW S1000RR can be a first bike lol
Are you shipping to EU :D
I’m a noob, completely. I’ll enter that giveaway….. so I can sell the bike and get a smaller/friendly bike, and pocket a couple k for street gear and some quality tires.
S1000RR or Aprilia RSV4??
I mean we are better maybe soulless but still better
I haven't been on the road in ~20 years, my 20 year old son is getting ready to ride ... Based on everything I've seen from Papa Yams over the years I think it only makes sense that we start out on a bike like this. I mean the only other option is turbo 'busa right? but I don't even own any flipflops.
I would have joined the giveaway... if i didn’t have the exact same bike already 😎
Good
Your sponsor is hilarious. By the time I ride my bike to therapy, I won't need therapy! 😅
Nvm, my past experience with therapy has been without any breakthroughs...
Its one of the best looking bikes out there, but i couldnt handle it
what about it could you not handle?
@@niall9164 The power
Please tell me what I have to do to win. I am 62 & I need this bike I think I Deserve it
This not a bike, it's a computer on 2 wheels. But ok.
The maintenance is way too much money
Better help makes me depressed.
We just wanted to have well engineered superbike ..we are not WBK or MOTOGP takented rider..
I thought riding a motorcycle was therapy
It's only so "perfectly boring and soulless" if you yourself are boring and flavorless.
You also don't have to go to the dealer. You can do it yourself and just document it and it'll be fine as long as you're not a poptart and break anything.
The R1 is really nice but the rider triangle is terrible.
I'd rather get that 1996 Ducati.
Actually, I want the M1000RR. But thank you anyways!
No.....I want an M1000RR 😁
When you say Toprak 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
You deliberately withheld critical information about how the S1000RR came about. The folks at BMW reverse engineered the bike you hate the most, K5 GSXR 1000.
You deliberately did not watch the video.
🍻🍻
Honestly S1000rr is soo easy to ride. I am a noob
i wanna win but i can’t pay for it :(
A BMW overhyped? Well, it's a BMW, so......
no I'm just here to watch the bmw s1000rr
Bmw need a 600cc
Is this actually legit? I’ve seen giveaways like this so I’m curious
as long as you can match your skills on a bike you want a bmw is just normal
Yurr
No I want a m1000rr
im not really into BMW
Yes, its a Beast! But, it is just like the BMW cars, over priced, over engineered, and it will break the bank to do anything along the lines of maintenance or repairs. Also, unless you have BMW`s training you should not ever try to do any of these on your own. I will not own one. My first choice will always be a Kawasaki. Bullet proof engines, not too difficult to maintain or repair, and very close as far as performance.
Very close??? I would say it's on par with bmw's
German gsxr 😂
Nope.. I'll pass.
... no
Just google BMW S1000RR problems and you will stay away from this bike.
