This women is one of the few ppl on TV that doesn't start to change or get annoying after they've been on TV so long. She's lost weight but hasn't lost her original personality. And that's a great thing and probably why she's still successful.
Biscuit topping = cobbler because it looks like cobble stones Crumble / pie dough topping = fruit crisp or crumble Batter topping = buckle because the fruit "buckles" and sinks into the batter
I enjoy watching the Pioneer Woman. To me, she is how’s great professionalism and yet she exhibits kindness and transparency, in other words, she is down to earth, and reaches a vast audience. We luv ya, Rhee ❤
I love that she cooks real food. Stuff that actually sounds really normal and totally delicious. So often the recipes I find in cookbooks are so weird. I’m sure the chefs who write those cookbooks think “People want to open a cookbook and find something they’ve never tried before”. Yes, and there’s a reason I’ve never tried it! Because it’s weird! 😂
I do same first three ingredients for my peach cobbler except I use buttermilk...plus a stick of melted butter on the bottom. I love blackberries...I’m making this!
You said self-rising and I forgot the baking powder until it baked 20 mins. so I'm adding it in late and decided to use my coconut oil and some sour cream in place of the butter. Wish me luck ! Now I know why I don't bake much.
I like this video. Blackberry cobbler is one of my favorites. Nothing else like it in the world to go pick blackberries and make a cobbler out of it. That man is so lucky having a wife like that.
This is my favorite cobbler recipe. You can add any fruit. Cinnamon whatever. Only thing I do different is make a sauce with the fruit and then put it on. With a little batter on top.
I grew up in southeastern North Carolina and I never saw a cobbler done any other way than this until I moved out of the south. Both styles are awesome, but my heart wants this one. Thanks!!
I love making this, I like to use different berries each time I make it, i even did a mango cobbler :) I think I'll make a summer fruit cobbler next time I make this.
This is the recipe I got from my neighbor, born in 1911, only it was peach (or any fruit, the recipe said) cobbler. She shared with me her family's recipes. Lucky me!! This way of making a cobbler suddenly made sense of the "cobbler mystery." I suddenly knew this was the right way of making cobbler. Thanks for reinforcing that.
That looks absolutely delicious. I will try that Sunday! You are right, however that the real cobbler has a sweet dropped biscuit dough on it. And tradition outs actually served warm with a bit of heavy cream poured over it.
Blueberry cobbler passes my taste test ! I can make it without the butter, yaaay ! Thanks for bringing back the past with a new twist on cobbler style ! Love it.
I'm feeling sick but my boys picked blackberries and I washed them and dried them overnight. I really needed to make something with them or freeze and I found this recipe. Was very simple and now I'm laying down while this bakes. Should be a nice treat
This is the recipe I’ve used for years when I want any fruit cobbler. One difference is I use a whole stick of butter. It’s an easy, awesome recipe, with very tasty results. My last was Black and Blue Cobbler, with blackberries, and blueberries which was delicious
I’m a big fan of butter! Does the extra butter change anything about it other than the flavor being more buttery? Also do you use less milk or anything to make up for the extra butter?
My aunts in Arkansas used to make peach cobbler with a really thick crust on the bottom and sides and a thinner crust on the top. That and some vanilla bean ice cream, heavenly
I freaking love this recipe. We used to have a BlackBerry bush and I used her recipe every summer and ended up finishing it myself cuz it was so darn good.
This looks so delicious and easy! We have a berry and apple orchard close by... so this will have to be baked soon 😊. How much baking powder or baking soda would I need if I used plain flour? Thank you! ~ Maria
siO' Ree; I just had your BB Cobbler, cuz i love Bbs, i added a bit of vanilla, and topped with whip cream, talk about delish, yummy yum. Wado, for sharing, love your BBC. Wado, Blessings to you and yours.

For the life of me I can't find fresh or frozen blackberries grown domestically that don't cost a small fortune, and the ones from emerging nations like Chile are iffy. So now, I only enjoy them vicariously through cooking videos.

Everything was all "little house on the prairie" until the end.
"Oh, yes!"
"I know that's your favorite, daddy!"
What did I just watch?
Little what on the Prairie lol
*"I know that's your favorite daddy."*
Laddy? His name is Ladd.
😂😂
Not the first time she's said that. Or the last. 🤭
And immediately afterwards it says hungry for more 🤣
Need them ankles knocked loose
I love her videos. No messing around. She gets straight to the point of the recipe!!!

I think she just became my favorite Food Network star!

I love this recipe. I haven't tried in this form but I make the individual ones quite often. All my guests love it when I make them. 🥰
Ree Drummond, thank you, thank you! Wonderfully simple!
Cuppa cuppa cuppa 😊 & half a stick of melted butter 🧈 ♥️ 😋
This was a simple, but delicious recipe. Easy for an old man, and my wife loves it!
This is my favorite cobbler recipe. You can add any fruit. Cinnamon whatever. Only thing I do different is make a sauce with the fruit and then put it on. With a little batter on top.
Ree looks great! And the cobbler looks amazing.
Simple and delicious recipe 👍 thanks

This helped me so much

Great advice!
I’m a big fan of butter! Does the extra butter change anything about it other than the flavor being more buttery? Also do you use less milk or anything to make up for the extra butter?
This was the easiest, best tasting cobbler I've ever made. It was gone before the night was over. Thank you!!🖖👍
My best American 🇺🇸 cook and baker, your the best my friend!
Great recipe ❤ it
My aunts in Arkansas used to make peach cobbler with a really thick crust on the bottom and sides and a thinner crust on the top. That and some vanilla bean ice cream, heavenly

Reminds me o a French
Cafloutis - it’s batter-like.
Thank you!
Yep, that's the kind of cobbler I'm used to.
Your adorable thank you friend
I made it tonight, I used 2 tubs of blackberry's and half a can of cherry pie filling. Very good....

Cobbler

I use the same recipe for a Dutch apple pie topping as I do for a cobbler. Delicious.

This looks so delicious and easy! We have a berry and apple orchard close by... so this will have to be baked soon 😊.
How much baking powder or baking soda would I need if I used plain flour? Thank you!
~ Maria
I just made this using a bag of Frozen Mango. I made it before with a bag of Frozen Dragon Fruit. Delicious!! Oh. I'm Diabetic, so I used Stevia.
I usually go with the crumbles on top, but this looks as easy, and yummy!
What kind of crumbles? and how do you make them? I always loved the ones with the crumble but never knew how to achieve it
Daddy or Zaddy...that's the real question
The kids are so young!!
Thank u mama deliciouse
Love you
You know "Daddy" is getting a second helping of good tonight.
Can you prep this night before and bake next day?
I use the same recipe except I use buttermilk, it's a keeper.
Is it good with buttermilk?
siO' Ree;

Hello
I’ve visited her ranch!
Is it a five mile trip from the nearest paved road? I've heard it's a very remote location.
msr111
It’s pretty close, it definitely seemed like it took forever to get there.
To Be Honest
The house where pioneer woman is filmed is available for tours.
To Be Honest

Can you use all purpose flour
I need this gluten free :)
If I double this recipe how much longer should I increase the cooking time?
Good afternoon
I was always taught that cobbler should look like cobble stones.
Not going to lie, looked more like blackberry cake but I am still going to give it a try. Just adding my own tweaks to make it a cobbler.
5 stars
This looks delicious, although I believe this is more akin to a Clafoutis than a cobbler. It's delicious nonetheless.
whatever it’s called, it looks easy and delicious
I know that's your favorite daddy. 😂

Why don’t you get blackberries that are grown in Mexico/Chile? Also I’m pretty sure TX and CA grow a lot of them.

Do you have to use self rising flour? Can you use all purpose flour?
You can use regular flour with you add baking powder and salt.
You can use regular flour if you add baking powder and salt.
I missed the "self-rising" while listening and I now have a gummy, heavy cobbler 😟
What is a half a stick of butter in cups or tbsp hun
A half stick of butter is 4 Tbsp. or 1/4 cup
Hi
Me running to the comments after I heard “daddy”
Can u answer this I am wanting to cook my cobbler tonight
Wish the baking dish was described as 9 inch round not as quart. Is it 9 or 7?
Clafoutis?
Don’t bother sifting the flour and sugar-I’m sure it’s totally fine.
Just let me see if I will let them see you 🤣 let me see you see if
lmfao i cant with the shaky camera work at the beginning
Hahaha didn’t even notice till you said it.. so cheesy
Then don't Anna
Honey, this ain't no cobbler, this a fruit cake. JUST SAY FRUIT CAKE.
