    I hope that you are all having a great golf season and reaching all of your goals. In today's video, I discuss one of the biggest issues I see with most golfers, the inability to properly shift their weight to their front foot. I show you the causes for this and give you an easy drill to practice so that you can learn how to shift your weight like the PGA Tour players! Practice this drill and you will see vast improvement in your consistency.

    Hi Dave, just found your video and am responding because as a 70 year old amateur who have been tinkering around golf for 30 years and made every mistake in the book ; I feel I have finally discovered on my own; a successful vertical swing that is repeatable and somewhat different then yours. I agree with most of your set up position; however placing most of the weight on one's back foot and deliberately bending the spine to the trail side I disagree with. Also telling people to simple lift the club with the arms simply does not work for me either. What about wrist action? I did not see you talk about the wrist in any detail? Although I did see your club shaft parallel to the ground at the beginning of your back swing. Sorry about being a critic; but I simply had to get it off my chest. Now what I might actually call my new golf back swing is a 'lateral move /vertical lift of the arms'. In this move I start by moving my strait left arm and shoulder laterally towards my trail side as I hing both my wrists vertically while allowing my trail elbow to bend close to my trail hip until I have created a minimum of a 45 degree angle between my straight lead arm and shaft of my club. At that point I simply vertically lift both arms. Because I have created a tremendous coil in my back swing my trail elbow falls back in it's proper placement to my trail hips at the beginning of my downswing making the finish easy to achieve. Once the snow clear clears I hope to post my new discovery on you tube and will be glad to send it to your site if you like. Thank you for reading
